This review is specifically for Ultas makeup application services. I love the store and purchase nearly all my makeup there, but I was appalled at the makeup application service I received. I had booked an appointment with them because it was time for the yearly corporate Christmas party with the company where my husband works. About five minutes in, I had already realized what a mistake I had made, but by then it was too late to go anywhere else. Ulta: if Im paying someone to do my makeup, I want that person to know what he or she is doing. I specifically brought in a picture of what I was looking for (not very elaborate, just a basic smokey eye, filled eyebrows, and a neutral face) and this poor girl was completely out of my depth. She had to call over multiple people to try to help her, did not understand what the term "blend" meant (she literally asked me, "Whats blending?"), and the result was paltry at best. I also needed my eyebrows filled in a bit, and she had no idea how to do this either. She told me she typically did facials, not makeup, so why on earth was she the one your staff selected to do my makeup? I do not blame this girl. I blame you, Ulta, for putting her in a position for which she clearly had little or no training. She never should have been allowed to do a makeup application. If you are charging people for makeup applications, you need to have professionals who are trained and can actually provide what the client wants. As a result of this experience, I will never have my makeup done at Ulta again, and although I was contemplating getting hair services there, I am now too afraid of what their stylists may do to my hair and a bad hair color or cut is far longer lasting than makeup. I am very disappointed, Ulta.

This is the WORST Ulta. At least I hope so. If this is considered the standard then Im giving up on this company entirely. The experience of shopping here is bi-polar. They are super sweet to certain customers and prejudiced against others. Sometimes theyll even start out one way and switch personalities without reason. The worse part, however, is the salon. Kevyn is incompetent and when he messes up he just begs you not to call the store manager. Okay, Kevyn, why are you afraid of your bosses? Id feel sorry for him if it wasnt for the fact that he still charges you money when he screws up. Next is Sandra- the store manager. Theres a saying that managers do things right, leaders do the right thing... Sandra does neither. Shes quick to assure you that your hair can be fixed, but when she fails she just tells you that what you wanted is dumb and what shes done is amazing. Um... seaweed green, dry, crunchy hair with clashing bits of chlorine green blond hair and navy roots is NOT a good look. And at the end of it, when you cry every time you look in the mirror they wont even offer to keep trying to help or give you your money back. They just send you out into the world and NEVER contact you ever again when you try to reach out for help. Avoid this store at all cost.

Im not sure how this place gets such poor reviews honestly. I just had my hair cut by Marta and she did an amazing job! The whole time she was making sure that I was comfortable and that I was happy with the direction it was going. I left with the short clean line bob I was hopping. As an added bonus there was no aggressive sales pressure just suggestions for how to style my new cut and information on what she she was putting in my hair. During my cut I also witnessed a woman leaving that was very happy with her cut/dye by another stylist and the Manager was styling a woman with curly hair that was also very happy with the outcome. On my way out I also had a woman help me find the perfect sunscreen for my sensitive skin. She even talked me down from a more expensive product to one that was a better value and fit for me! TLDR: Helpful sales floor staff and skilled stylists. If you are nervous about how a hair cut will look bring a picture and talk it over with them. It worked for me

I have been going to This salon for hair care and beauty products for years. I will not return. I booked an appointments for my self and bridesmaids. We wanted hair an make up done for the wedding. The salon can not handle groups but will not tell you that. Thank goodness we booked a trial appointment. The hair dresses was sick. (they have no control over that). But they had no back up plan no resources totally disorganized. The Salon only has 2 stylists who can do formal hair and 1 make up artist. Yet they booked an appointment for 5 people with out saying this. By way of apology the manager blamed his stylists saying they shouldnt have booked it in the first place. I had come to expect a far higher degree of professionalism from Ulta salon. I canceled not only the wedding appointment but also my cut and color appointment. I will not book again with Ulta salon again.

The last few times I have been in to this store I was completely ignored while others around me were asked if they needed help. I even had a sales women as me rudely to move out of the way so she could grab something for a coworker. When I finally did get "help" the saleswoman seemed rushed like she didnt want to help me because she was having more important and personal conversation with her coworker. I really want to love this place because I am such a beauty lover and part of their platinum club no less but I am just going to stick to Sephora from now on or shop online and guess my color match which is basically what they do anyway in store.

Jail and police for a haircut in this place. By mail I got a coupon for the haircut in this place. I went with my family and they did the haircut for my son. $25 off new coupon for the new guest did not work, actual discount was $1, because total cost haircut for the child is $26 overpriced rate. We did not have any desire to pay $25 dollars, when previously thought it would cost us just $1. The salon manager Sandy has only one solution: call police on the customer. My son did not feel well that day, we spent all afternoon to call customer service and did not get any adequate solution. Be aware and choose the service with jail time.

This facility was very clean and ALL the staff were extremely helpful. It was really cool to see business men walking around with shampoo bottles! Ive never rote a review in my life but something magical last nite. There is one particular employee named SHEELA that just knocked our sox off. My daughter (14yrs) and I have never had our brows done and Sheela took us in as "walk ins" even though her schedule was booked! She knew everything from lip stains to teeth whitening! We laughed and had so much fun with her. Not only do we have PERFECT BROWS but on our car ride home my daughter said, "mom youve made a new friend."

Not a place Id like to purchase anything from. When I entered to exchange a perfume and started looking for the right scent, literally three employees started rushing me even though I said I was okay. The manager was beyond rude to me, she was one of the three employees, who wouldnt stop bugging me. I was looking for a mature, non floral and strong perfume and she told me to look in the mens section instead. At the end she told me to look at a different store. I dont understand, I never asked for their help and they get paid to do this. Thats why I shop at SAPHORA.
