Wow! Talk about advertising customer service they definitely do NOT deliver on. We will never buy anything from Cohens again. The only reason we bought from them in the first place was because our builder wanted us to. Their business is definitely not conducive to couples who both work away from home. Their prices arent great either. We were able to get them to price match a price from Best Buy, but after our total experience, we would have done just as well or better to just buy everything from a big box store. Maybe a few decades ago Cohens was a great place, but they need to modernize the way they do business. Or maybe their business model still works for Old Montgomery Money, but it definitely doesnt work for the remaining 99% of us in the River Region. Our $2K refrigerator we purchased just 2.5 years ago now wont make any ice and the freezer has started acting up. Because it is out of the 1 year manufacturers warranty, Cohens wont do anything to help us fix it or give us a credit towards a new refrigerator. During the 1 year mfg warranty, Cohens repaired it for us once-which took two service visits, which they only offer on the weekdays. No weekend service for anyone who might be busy during the week. Even though our ice maker has had multiple problems since that one repair, we never called back to get Cohens to come fix it because we didnt have the time during the week to be home every time it broke down (both of us work away from home). My husband would just find repair ideas online and implement them. Of course the ice maker would break after a few weeks, but at least it would be a temporary fix. Now, it is completely broken and no online solutions are working for it. Cohens is saying there is nothing they can do on their end because there is only one recorded service call. Per their customer service rep this morning, their solution for us would have been to have called every time the refrigerator broke and if we couldnt be home for the service visit, have family or friends let the technician in our house or develop a relationship with the technician to where he could get in our house on his own. What a solution. I dont want to take up my friends and familys time with my numerous refrigerator repairs-they barely have time to cover things going on in their own house. Plus, there is no way I am going to "develop a relationship" with the tech guy to where we wouldnt have to be home to let him in. Also, as a small store that sells only electronics and prides themselves on being better than a box store, I would expect Cohens to keep up with what might and might not be good appliances. After looking at reviews online, it is clear that our refrigerator was a terrible one. It never should have been carried by Cohens in the first place. If we hadn’t had our first repair covered under warranty, it would have cost us $768. There is no way we are going to pay that out of pocket now to repair it when it will most likely break again. I guess we’re going refrigerator shopping again (since the manufacturer wont help us either), but I can guarantee you we won’t be shopping with Cohen’s now or ever again. Cohen’s might want to remember the fact that everyone learns in business school-a dissatisfied customer will tell at least 9 people, maybe more, about their problems with a company and recommend not conducting business with it. You better believe I’m telling everyone I know, which is more than 9 people, not to do business with Cohen’s. Im telling you, if you ever feel the need to go in this store to check out their prices or service, RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION!

I ordered a Speed Queen washer after my 20+ year Maytag gave up. I had some minor issues with my plumbing, which would have been discovered had the installers checked the washer thoroughly before leaving. Because of this, I was delayed in being able to use the machine for an additional two weeks. The store was very cooperative, and I just had to deal with the timing of a return visit, and then getting the plumbing fixed. Through it all, the store was very cooperative, and I am more than pleased with the product. Would give 5 stars if it were not for the delay. Would definitely recommend them and would order from them in the future. Great products, and they do stand behind what they sell!

Cohens is the only place that we shop for appliances. Its family owned (which we appreciate since we have our own family business) and locally owned. Customer service is great! They also have their own repairmen, so if something breaks, its not some random guy coming to your door. My last purchase was a french door refrigerator, their sales representative compared prices with other stores for the same frig., and gave me the sale price of the competitor. You cant beat that!

a bit more expensive than the big-box stores but well worth the extra price as soon as you need service or need to speak to someone. friendly, knowledgeable staff, locally-owned. when you call you actually get real customer service - not the usual bad attitude minimum wage employee service you are used to at the big stores. you get what you pay for

I was greeted as soon as I walked in. It was a hot day, I was very thirsty, and they actually offered me a drink!!! I had been to two other stores before coming there without that simple courtesy. The salesmen were very helpful without being pushy. Prices were comparable. I will be returning.

Bought dishwasher several years ago. After one year stop working. Cohen came out several times, never fixed dishwasher. Stopped responding to requests. Will never patronize again. Not trustworthy. Bought dishwasher elsewhere.
