Exceptional SAN ....a Swiss Army knife of storage products....covers 95% of any concievable need....Ive managed storage from 3 vendors and Compellent has had features for 5 years that other enterprise class vendors cannot touch....eg write my data in at RAID10 for performance and move it to RAID5 on the same disks.... Manage a single disk pool, eg lay out a volume across multiple disks speeds, types and RAID and the data is ILMs at the block level. Perpetual software licenses that I own! eg I do not have to rebuy software for system as I replace/retire older equipment like SATA drives....a no performance hit thin provisioning, exceptionally easy management by policy, easy replication with not need for Pro Svcs to fail back....the list goes on.... Very reliable, eg no risk of outages for firmware upgrades eg no service interuption to upgrade technology....a Gazillion thanks to these guys at CML....world class support! The system has absolutely no End of Life....it evolves the underlying technology while on line.....
