Two nights ago I shopped at Wal-Mart in Altoona. As I was checking out I took one bag not knowing that there was two . When I got home to open my bags and look at the clothing I had just bought I had noticed that some of items were missing. I then called the Walmart in Altoona and spoke to somebody and told them what had happened they then told me that I needed to come in with my receipt and they could get it back to me. Tonight, after my 15 hour day at work when my feet are aching and I much had rather wen at home in bed . I had went to Walmart to get my clothing that I had left. When I walk and In I go back to the service desk to see nobody was standing there so I walked around until I found somebody who worked there . I then told them what had happened and she had told me that she had to stand there and for somebody else to yo help me and I had to wait for that person to be done checking out The customer that was checking out. I waited seven minutes while she finished checking out that person and then the other girl ended up doing it anyway. She and I walked back to the service desk were they had told me my items will be , on the phone. She looked for about two minutes to find nothing and then she went back and told one of her managers. The manager came out in a super rude voice he was not friendly at all she then she told him what happened and then he asked me what items on the receipt did I not receive. what it was called on the receipt was a barcode and a one word describing the outfit . Examples being tank, laced, dress and a couple other. I explained to him that I cant remember off of one work how am I supposed to remember what it was and he told me to go look around on the shelfs. I was super surprised how much nobody helped me and I went back and started walking around looking at the shelves and one of the women who was stocking I had started talking to her and she even admitted that somebody shouldve helped me. So she said she will call a minute so we went over to the manager and the manager started with reading off what it said and I think he was confused because then he called somebody else over who was the first person the one I talked to originally who didnt help me. So she ends up paging the second woman who I was waiting on checking out the people over and she then said that she would go back and look at it angry voice you could tell that she didnt want to help me what so ever . When we went back she looks for about 30 seconds and then she said Im sorry I guess they put them on the shelfs and said nothing else like Toughlove so my experience at the Walmart in Altoona was awful I do not recommend going here the customer service sucks Ive never been so treated badly by any service in my life until today and tomorrow I will be calling corporate

I wear contacts every day. Because i didnt buy contacts at my exam at the end of last year they tell me they didnt do a contact exam which is not the case. But since I didnt buy any from them and the doctor and i spoke my contacts were feeling just find and my RX didnt change all was fine, and i could order whenever i needed more. The first time i tried getting more i couldnt they said i didnt have a contact exam done and needed to come in for another one. If i wear contacts everyday why would i not have a contact exam done? Makes no sense. So i schedule an appointment to come in. I get there and they dont have my in the system as having an appointment at all scheduled. Then i have to fill out paperwork wait a half hour to be seen. Guess what, they didnt have my RX in stop for trial pairs to fit or wear either this time. They also tried telling my insurance wasnt valid. I gave her my card at the beginning of the appointment and she still called the wrong insurance company to try and verify my coverage. Then after all was said and done. They charged me for a second eye exam because i came before my year on my insurance. Why would they not tell me up front and why didnt i just have a contact exam? Makes no sense to me all of the crap they pulled, so now we are pulling our familys business.

On Dec 29th my husband, 3 year old daughter and I went to Wal-mart in Altoona, IA to purchase items for New Years party. We have spent 2 hours shopping just to find out at the register that we cant purchase everything we wanted. We were unable to buy any alcohol because I didnt have an ID. My husband was the one who was paying for items. I was there trying to keep up with my 3 year old. After speaking to manager I was told that I needed to look 40 years for my husband to be able to buy alcohol when Im there. I have been shopping at this store for 3 years but I seriously doubt Ill be shopping there ever again. Anyone with kids would agree that its hard to remember to bring your wallet, especially when you do not need it. I still cant believe that we were turned down. We had about $300 dollars in Grocery $150 fridge that we had to carry ourselves all across the store because there was no one to help. I have never expected much from Wal-mart customer service but this is beyond frustrating. Referring to Policy is by far the worst Customer service.

I am usually not a fan of Walmart. Quite often they do not have things in stock. You cant find what you need and there are usually only 1 or 2 lanes open. And when you try to find someone to help you I get very poor customer service. However at the Walmart in Altoona Iowa on usually the worst shift, overnight I was having some trouble checking out and despite the cashiers being very short staffed, and under pressure from some very rude customers she very patiently asked me to please give her a minute and when she was done with rude customer, instead of being grouchy and frustrated, which she could have easily been, she went out if her way to help me solve my issues and did it with a smile on her face and gave me her undivided attention until I was completely through checking out which due to several issues took about 20 mins or a half hour. And the whole time she was polite and professional. I was very surprised and happy to not have a rude grouchy cashier. Thank you to her.

I shop at Walmart for the convenience, I know better than to expect quality customer service. I have even worked for wal mart many years in high school. Today I was so appalled by the customer service in your photo center/online pick up/layaway area. Not only do I feel this is too much in one area especially around the holidays. The sales associates were beyond rude and so unfriendly. I have worked retail my whole life and am a retail manager, so I get the stress and work. But if you cant bite your attitude and be friendly to your customers then find a new job. Dont treat all the customers like they are putting you out. The line was insane for the area. At one time I counted 17 people waiting. And only two sales associates. Mangers and others walked by, none who cared to jump in and help. I go to this store cause its in my town but with service like this I would rather go somewhere with better customer appreciation.
