Our dryer is on the outs. Im pretty handy and dont fear checking my own appliances out, researching help and tips online and attempting repairs myself before paying for professionals to handle it. I like to conduct business locally and so I called A-1. Awesome! I asked and he explained their service fees. The man directed me, over the phone as to what likely the problem was and what I could do to further diagnose and at least temporarily address the problem. This is simply outstanding service without direct benefit to him or the business. Well his business deserves praise and referral and after only this brief encounter with A-1, I do reccommend them and I will call again with future business for them.

My freezer stopped working. I am willing to try DIY jobs to save money and he helped me troubleshoot the problem over the phone and sold me the part to fix it myself. He was extremely knowledgeable about this stuff and his diagnosis was right on. It was a simple job and I was happy he took the time to patiently answer my multiple questions so I could install the part myself and save a bunch. He did not try to score an expensive house call for my simple problem but worked with me to my benefit. Because of that I feel I can trust him and will call him for all my future appliance repair needs.

I have had trouble with repair guys in the past, not being on time, not being able to do the repair and not returning calls. I found Tom on the internet with 5 star ratings from everyone who wrote a review. GREAT EXPERIENCE!! He was on time, knowledgable about the issue and worked fast. On top of that his total repair bill was less than the cost to have sears come do an estimate for repairs!! We now have a working fridge again and are would recommend Tom at A-1 repairs in Tacoma to everyone.

When I left a message after listening to his recording about his vacation and the big fish he caught and the others he had to release and then the fact that vacation was over and he needed to go back to work.....he didnt return my call, maybe he decided not to come back from vacation, I tried to call again and got no answer, needless to say I went somewhere else

Tom was great. He fixed our dryer quickly, was courteous and professional and the price was very reasonable. He attempted (patiently) to help us over the phone and when we could not get it figured out (we are definitely novice "do-it-yourselfers") he was quick to come to our rescue. Thanks Tom for all of your help!

I called A-1 with a problem with my clock on an old GE stove. They were so thorough in advising me what to do. I could not believe how informative they were. The problem was fixed after our telephone conversation, but if a repair was needed, I would definately call A-1. Really nice.

Tom couldnt make it day-of, but gave me two recommended businesses to call instead. When those didnt work, he came out the next day. Super fast, and reasonably priced. I was very happy. I kept the magnet and will recommend him to everyone.

I called Tom for service on a fridge and dryer in a rental property I have. Rather than schedule an appointment he gave a few things to try that could resolve my problem without a service call.
