I have nothing against Wal Mart, and in fact I love their stores. Avoid this one, however. Poor management, rude staff. I had a cart with probably a dozen or so (very high profit items for Wal Mart such as video games, organic meat and veggies, etc!) items and was patiently waiting in line, as all lines were very full and seemed to be barely moving. I was 2 customers behind the people being checked out when suddenly a checker came forward and whispered to the people in front of me something that I could not hear. Keep in mind there were 3 families with nearly full carts behind me, and we had all been in line for at least 5-10 minutes at that point. So I continued to wait, and suddenly as the people being checked out were (finally) done, the people in front of me moved forward. At this point I began placing my items on the conveyor to be checked out, but was suddenly informed by the checker that her line was closed. At any time I could have been informed the line was closed instead of wasting my time as well as the families behind me. I was very frustrated at not only the complete lack of communication, but also rude behavior of the staff. I left all of my items right there, and walked to the entrance. Once there, I asked to see the store manager. As I was waiting, several cashiers suddenly appeared out of nowhere and suddenly offered to check my items out right there. After being treated so poorly I refused, and informed them that I could purchase all items in my cart anywhere and had no desire to do business at this store. Lo and behold, the "manager" showed up and it was the same "cashier" who rudely informed the people in front of me in the line that it was closed but could not be bothered to inform myself or the others waiting in line of the fact. I informed Wal Mart corporate via their customer complaint line, and did receive a call back from a supposed assistant manager of this store. He informed me that I was indeed treated poorly (YES, I KNEW THAT THANKS VERY MUCH) and that the employees would receive training on how to handle basic procedures such as properly closing a line. Nothing was offered to me to make up for my poor treatment.

The store is very poorly managed. Customer convenience is unavailable or closed. They close all but a few check stands at the grocery end of the store which often back up with more than six customers each. They also lock the entrance not at the grocery end of the store. Very inconsiderate of all the disabled customers parked away from the grocery entrance. There are check stands at the Garden department, Sporting Goods, Paint, Jewelry, and Electronics that are rarely ever staffed or open. The store has obnoxious signs, lights, and cameras on many aisles that flash recording while you shop, yet they still stop all shoppers that made a purchase to look at their receipt and mark it. This store is less than ten years old, but it has gone from a convenient low cost store with helpful polite employees to what it is today. It is not convenient, employees are not polite or helpful, and they treat customers like they are suspected thieves and stop purchasers as they leave the store. They look at the receipt and items, mark the receipt and dismiss the customer. Six words no longer heard at this location, "Thank you for shopping at Walmart."

Its too bad to have to say this... While in the electronic department today(5/13/2016) there was an older guy and he asked the electronic sales associate what the highest capacity micro SD card he could use with his Samsung Galaxy S5. The associate walked away and quickly back telling the custom that 128gb was the maximum capacity. I was stunned because this simply isnt true. I told the older man that if he wanted to use a 200gb micro SD he could ad long as it is a SanDisk 200gb card. The associate corrected what I said and said to the man "No, you can only use as high as a 128gb card." Most 200gb cards will not work but there are in fact cards that will work. SanDisk being one of them. Now Im not one to go and call someone out but its ridiculous that the associate blatantly did not know his facts. You failed the customer. I hate to say this but why is it that so many employees at most walmarts dont know where anything is and also dont know anything about the products within and outside of their departments.

With over 30 customers looking for a register open, I walked over to customer service and told them to get some registers open...there were actually not one register open at 10am on a weekday...when two cashiers walked out...one took on one customer then put a "lane closed" sign out...then a third one, probably a manager came over and chatted with the cashier and did nothing...while one older woman had to help everyone...then i find out that they do not use plastic bags at this store, and they "SELL" paper bags...so the cashier packs my stuff in the paper, i lift it up and the bags rips into three pieces and dumps my food all over the floor...Now I love Wal-mart.prices..but this "no service" management strategy has to end! i WILL NEVER SHOP THIS WAL-MART AGAIN!

Bought a Bluebird card here to pay bills. Theyve been telling me for a week that they cant fix a glitch thats keeping me from loading funds. Walmart associates and customer service representatives keep telling me that its something wrong with the Bluebird system, not the Walmart system. Called a Walmart one town over. They say they have no trouble loading Bluebird card. Call Bluebird and they say they cant force Walmart to honor there product by loading funds on it, so Walmart is selling them still and has no intention of loading them. Never spending money in this Walmart again .

Very bad. I had a trainee teller that was more interested in chomping her gum than she was doing a customer friendly check out. Her trainer was more interested in her phone than training the new hire. All the time the line kept getting longer and longer with people who seem to have to or want to use 4 different kinds of cards to pay for there items while there small herd of kids terrorise the surrounding area with no discipline. I now know why people are starting to pay more elsewhere for better service and avoid the riff raff of people who have so low of standards.

Its WalMart, what can I say... I like the Tumwater store much better than my "home" store in Aberdeen. Aberdeen is 20 miles away, Tumwater is 25 miles, but so worth the extra 5 miles. I used to like WalMart a lot, but in the last few years, Ive found prices have gone up in general, on some items by quite a bit. So now, Im spending more money than ever at Grocery Outlet and only relying on WalMart for certain items. The bonus at GO is Ive tried dozens and dozens of new foods that I was never exposed to at WalMart.
