Previously, I really liked this store & over the past 14 yrs, spent probably close to 10K there. Everything changed when I went in on 7/2/10 -literally, EVERYTHING was moved around-I thought,"oh,well just another merchandising technique-but then I noticed the quality of their present stock. Previously, on occasion,I would pick up a pr. of jeans, sneakers,. p.j.s or underwear. Now, I wouldnt even consider it. The place has become little more than a "Dollar Store". I have to add that the previous cool garden/patio furniture section is now represented by some plastic and vinyl webbed .replacement that you could find better at the local drugstore.Also, the neat pet specialty items are gone.After mourning the loss of the previous Target we all knew, I decided that all I really needed to get that day were some rugs & towels. It took a lot of unassisted searching, but finally I got something close to what I wanted. Little did I know that was when the real horror began. I WROTE A CHECK - just like I had done many times before for over $300. I showed them my I.D (C,A,drivers License & some C,C,),but that wasnt acceptable. I told them that not only was the check good, but that I HAD written many chks.,some larger. to them in the past & that my bank & their records would confirm this. At that point I was just so polarized, I left.. All of this was ao wrong, I just cant believe it. PLEASE , anyone thinking of buying anything from this Target based on its past merits, GO ELSEWHERE! Clean and quiet, and easier to access and leave than the San Rafael location. Shopping complex has other box stores and a few food options to help with one-stop shopping. If youre north of San Rafael downtown, I recommend this location over the other.

This location is just super junky. Lack of proper management and staff? Dirty, unorganized, run down, empty shelves. This is just a poor representation of the Target chain. I drive the extra 20 minutes to the San Rafael location.

Its kind of lame reviewing a Target, right? However, the staff at this location I have found always to be very very friendly and helpful. The store is always clean. I have never had a reason to not want to go to this location.

I`ve been buying at Target at San Rafael for a quite time, and this week I have decided to deal with a different Target. What a surprise, this one is even better, at least bigger, and more organized even thought the size.

Almost every night after work my boyfriend and i go to this target late at night,and i love that even tho is later on the day they have everything well stocked.Good clearace stuff and good very good variety!!!

Asked for help with mens pants. We were having problems finding 28inch waist the target person said there over there and not much to choose from since they are remodeling. Not helpful.

Always shop at target love the store in Novato and Rohnert Park always great stuff and great prices also love shopping around looking for the cool clearance stuff

This target is a great location, its clean and the the employees are very friendly. The layout is organized. I only wish that the pharmacy had longer hours.
