Joe Gill

Richard H. has never purchased any furniture from us, MFC Furniture. He purchased his furniture from Gills Furniture which is now closed. However, he is also on a list with the Attorney Generals office and is scheduled to receive restitution from a settlement agreement worked out between the Attorney General and Gills Furnitures former owner. MFC Furniture has absolutely nothing to do with Gills Furniture, and if Richard H. or anyone else cares to investigate themselves, they will see that MFC Furnitures owner has been exonerated. Richard H.s continued assertions of fact are false and slanderous and should be retracted. Furthermore, had Richard H. bothered to do a little homework, as we at MFC Furniture have, he would have learned that not only did Gills Furniture have a loan secured to obtain furniture ordered by Richard H, but he would have also learned that the Attorney General killed the deal causing Richard H.s harm. Additionally, Gills Furniture also offered to settle with the Attorney General almost 2 years ago proposing almost identical terms as were eventually reached that could have saved the tax payers, including Richard H. almost $300,000.00 from being wasted. Unfortunately, Richard H. is not interested in the truth; he is apparently only interested in slandering companies that got pulled into an unfortunate situation. Thanks, Joe

These people are total crooks. Current owner Joe Gill personally assisted my wife in choosing a dining room set and took over $700 of our money as full payment in the fall of 2011. He then stalled for weeks after the stated delivery date, blaming the manufacturer and the shipping company because our table and chairs hadnt arrived. A month later, I went into the store to ask for another update, and Joe Gill himself stood there behind the counter and informed me that his brother, Loren Gill, had just sold the business to him, that it was a different entity now, and that he had no legal obligation to complete our order. He even said he didnt know what had happened to the records from the previous business, so there was no way he could deliver our order! My wife and I are not alone. Many other consumers have also been burned. MFC Furniture is being sued by the Washington State Attorney General. The store has been featured on KING 5s "Get Jesse" program three times and has earned an F rating from the Better Business Bureau.

My experience at this store went from bad to worse the more the owner kept talking. I was beginning to make a purchase when he mentioned to me how much he liked Columbus, GA because there are less minorities there and how he is "old school". Maybe he thought my girlfriend is white, or he just didnt notice that Im a light skinned black male, or he just didnt care. Of course I stopped the purchase immediately and left, never to return again. He has the right to his views and I have the right to spend my money where I choose. America is great! And I made a purchase later that day at another local small store.

STAY AWAY! I dont know how this guy stays in business. The place is a run down, unclean, and salesman did nothing but cuss, call me fat, and talk about his fat ex-wife.
