Sears has been a massive disappointment. DO NOT SHOP THERE OR BUY THEIR APPLIANCES. Go to Costco, Lowes, Home Deport, Speed Queen, anywhere but Sears! I never write reviews, but my experience has been appalling. We were ripped off by Sears. We spent over $2500 on a new washer and dryer that are over-built failures, all show and no go - KENMORE ELITE Front Loading machines bought in 2016. We were told by the sales person that were buying one of the best washers! A total lie! Dont try to call them for help. They dont respond! Horrible customer service! The washer simply uses so little water, it does NOT wash our clothes! The clothes often stink worse coming out of the washer after being washed and promptly being removed from the machine. Since we did not move into our house for a few months after receiving the washer due to construction, we did use the washer until after the 30 days customer service satisfaction period was over. Sears couldn’t care less. I grew up with Sears and my parents always had Kenmore products. So when we wanted to buy a new washer and dryer for our new home, we went to Sears. Yes, I have the extended repair support warranty on the machine. USELESS SCAM. DO NOT BUY IT! We have had 6 repair people at our home of which I need to lose work time so they can come sometime during their window of time- sometimes up to 4 hours of waiting. Every repair person that comes to look at the machine tells us something different. One repair guy told me to add buckets of water to the machine after putting my clothes in. Yes, that is why I spent nearly $1000 -to go back to the 1800s and fill my machine with buckets of water. He said it would trip the water sensor. Really, this is repairman who says, "There is nothing wrong with your machine.", but I should add buckets of water manually. That is not wrong? He also told me I should use a detergent (Tide) that makes my daughters break out in rashes even though I told him that! Really??? I have used the same 2 detergents for the past 12 years with no problems in my high efficiently front loading machines. So why do my clothes smell when they come out of the washer after 2 full cycles and almost 4 HOURS of washing time in the machine. I have to wash my clothes on the longest, hottest cycle and often rewash and rewash. If I use bleach on my whites, at times it has made bleach burns in good towels. Why? Not enough water to dilute the bleach. Imagine washing even two bath towels in two gallons of water -total. How does that actually clean the towels? It doesn’t! The towels absorb all that water. There is NO setting I can change on the washer to increase the water level. The repair people have told me you can’t change how much water the machine uses per load beyond the preset functions of the machine set by the factory. Furthermore, I have done everything to ensure that the washer itself is not dirty or moldy. It has no odor. I have used vinegar in my laundry to get the odors out. I have used Affresh to clean the washer. I have run bleach through the washer. The clothes still smell. Yes, I had my water pressure checked. Their is water coming through our home. (No problem with dirty dishes coming out of our Kitchenaid dishwasher after a wash cycle.) The Kenmore washer simply does not wash our clothes with enough water to remove dirt, odors and clean the laundry. End of story. The point is that Sears, really LG for Sears, built a poor failing product and Sears takes no responsibility. No wonder they are going out of business because they DO NOT stand by their product or service and the salespeople tell lies to make a commission. So pathetic, so unethical. Do NOT shop at Sears. I am sharing my story so you do not get cheated by Sears. I am not a robot and my email is not fictitious. I represent no one and work for no one in the appliance industry. My review may be redundant, but I am trying to drive the message home. We have been dealing with this for a year! You can reply back for more info or machine serial number for proof of purchase.

Here is the story. I am only stating the facts and not adding my emotions. Ill leave you to judge it. I have a Kenmore Elite Refrigerator used for about 2 years and it stopped working due to issue with the compressor. Sure, things break, I get that. I called in to Sears to have my first appointment scheduled on Sat 4/23 2016 between 1 to 5 PM. On the day of the appointment, a technician showed up and diagnosed the fridge. The result was that the compressor needs to be replaced but he didnt have the parts so he had to order it. He gave me his phone number and told me to give him a call as soon as the parts arrive. He verbally committed to come back on Wed 4/27 to finish the job and asked me to allocate my whole day since he wasnt sure about exactly when he would come. Besides, he had to charge me for labor in advance so he can order the parts. I let him charged my card. Tue 4/26, I got all the parts shipped to my house and called him to confirm our appointment the next day. At 9:15AM on Wed 4/27, I called the technician and asked for the estimated time window for his arrival. He said he had to check his schedule and would get back to me soon. I never heard back from him so I waited the whole day. I tried to call him again at 3:00, 3:49 and 4:09 PM and left messages. He never picked up the phone and never called me back. I ended up calling Sears back at 7PM to find out whats going on. Spoke/complained to a supervisor and agreed to reschedule the appointment for Tue 5/3 8AM to 12PM. They should at least let me know if they were not able to come for the date of an appointment instead of wasting my whole day waiting. For the May 3rd appointment, Ive received confirmation of the appointment the day before. The appointment time has passed, no one showed up nor called. This is the worst customer experience to me, ever. I am going to dispute the repair charge on my credit card for the work they have never performed. I am going to throw away this fridge and buy a new one. Only this time not from Sears and never will. Jerry

If there was a negative star I would use it. I bought a mattress on July 4th for my daughter who is moving to Seattle to attend U of W. We set up the delivery for July 13th. My daughter and a friend drove over to Seattle from Boise to be there on the 13th for the mattress delivery and were supposed to drive back to Boise on the 15th. It never showed up. They didnt give dispatch the correct address. The delivery was rescheduled for three days later on July 16th. My daughter had to stay extra days to be there for the delivery on the 16th and I had to buy a ticket to fly her friend back home because she couldnt stay that long. The delivery was set up for the morning of July 16th between 7:45 am and 9:45 am. At 10:05 it still wasnt there. Wouldnt you think that since this was already a delivery screw up that it should have been the first one they delivered????? When it wasnt there by 10:05 I called and cancelled the order. They called at 10:10 and were at the wrong address again. My daughter told them we cancelled the order and to take the mattress back with them. The resolution I was offered from customer service was a $20 gift certificate. Seriously!!!!!!! What would that accomplish. I will never buy another thing from Sears again. Phone calls werent returned, no priority was place on fixing their delivery error, and I am out a lot of money because of the plane ticket and my daughter having to stay there extra days. And now I have to wait 7 to 10 working days to get my money back. What a joke!!!!!
