Short review first. Robbins Bros. is excellent. Im going to demand that all my buddies looking at rings go here first. They made picking out a ring as easy as possible, low stress and high comfort. Most important, I trusted they had my own and my new fiances best interest at heart. Go see these guys if youre looking for not only a pain free, but an enjoyable experience when buying a ring. I worked with Ben Marchant, hes excellent, and everyone I interacted was very friendly. Detailed version. Going ring shopping was the scariest thing I could think to do on Halloween. So on Oct 31 I walked in to Robbins Bros (RB) to check out some rings. I had been searching online for engagement rings for a few weeks prior. My gf gave me some guidelines and styles that she liked, but even then I wasnt crazy about anything I saw online. I finally found a ring that I really liked online from an independent jeweler. I contacted that jeweler, and they recommended and put me in contact with RB, specifically Ben Marchant. We set up a convenient time to come in and check out rings and diamonds. From the time I walked in I was treated with outstanding service and friendliness. Ben took the time to get to know me a little, he listened to the guidelines my gf had given me, and we put together a game plan with a few different options. I appreciated this a lot, instantly I felt Ben had my best interest at heart, and I could trust him throughout the whole process. And I did. They offered me water, beer and wine while I browsed the store. I stuck with the water till Ben helped me pick the engagement band. Then it was time to head back and discuss diamond options...time for that beer! Ben did a nice job educating me just enough about diamonds so I felt like I could make an informed decision. RB had a nice, quick little educational ppt on the computer that Ben and I went through together. We discussed the size of the diamond that I would need to fit and look good on the band I selected, the quality and character of those sized diamonds, and then aligned them with my budget. Ben then brought out a few options that fit those criteria, and he guided the selection process. Leaving the choice up to me, but giving his unbiased and trustworthy advice when I needed. Looking back it was pretty simple, and I really enjoyed the process. Sparing you logistical details that followed, I had a ring ordered and ready to go after just one afternoon visit with Ben and RB. I was very pleased and excited. The service was great, the people were welcoming and friendly, and that made for a very enjoyable experience. Ill be going to RB for all my future jewelry transactions. Ive already recommended RB to all my buddies looking for rings. Could not be happier with RB.

I just walked out of the store a few minutes ago with nothing but great things to say about the experience. I was assisted by Ben, who was exceptional in every way. - He was able to easily understand my needs and what I was looking for. - He was very knowledgeable about the various materials and he always broke things down for me in a very pragmatic way. He explained to me the differences in terms of how often I would have to inspect/clean it, how careful I would have to be with it, what materials go together and what dont. - Not once did I feel that I was pushed in a direction I didnt want to explore. Not once was I offered to see something just for the sake of it being more expensive. - Because I was buying multiple pieces of jewelry at the same time, he offered without charge many services that he would normally charge for. Without me having to ask. I would have asked, but not having to shows that they are not in the business of taking advantage of people. It was obvious that Bens top priority was to find the right options for me and be helpful in any way possible. If the above does not convince you to at least go into the store and have a chat, I will leave you with this: I was looking at a piece of jewelry that had a great design that I liked, but Ben could tell it was out of my price range for that particular item as I wanted to spend most of my budget on something else. Not only did he pick up on that, but he offered me a different piece of jewelry, within my budget, which with some modifications that he would make free of charge would make it look almost identical to the more expensive one. I could not recommend more highly.

AHHH WHAT CAN I SAW...I met ben marchant in 2012 I believe and immediately was impressed by his genuine customer service, professionalism and after a few sketches ..his ability to design on the spot translating what I wanted. I had an idea germinating but needed a true designer to bring it forth within strict budget sensibilities utilizing and recycling my existing stones from the past 40 years. It is difficult to design within these constraints. My past settings were all custom designed utilizing existing stones..as I would feel frankly guilty otherwise and I was fortunate to have outstanding custom jewelers. Ben Marchant I highly recommend in that he is a designer foremost without a personal sales agenda..I spent off and on 2 plus years with him ..consulting while researching and meeting other highly reputable jewelers. I also would highly recommend Mr. Sanh who is a master and highly skilled ..hmmm polisher..gem light analyst..well..he understands how light and diamonds bounce like ben and they BOTH AS A TEAM ..ROCK..AS IN ...well the real ROCKS..! I am so thankful to the entire staff at the Robbins Belltown store..Raja and the family as they treat you as family..thank your for making my 40th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY ..TRULY DAZZLE and MOST MEANINGFUL.

I chose to surprise my fiance with our ring. Picking it out by myself would have been a truly terrifying process without a patient, educating, warm person to walk me through the process. Kim Todd was all that and more. I probably made her show me every setting in the store, but she was beyond accommodating from the moment I walked in. By the time I came in to purchase, she was waiting for me with my favorite drink! Not only did she help me understand the "science" of engagement rings, she also listened to me and offered advice to help me find one I am absolutely thrilled about. The difference between the first ring I thought I liked and the ring I chose -- a ring I absolutely love -- is baffling. It was like Kim knew exactly when to raise an idea and when to let my thoughts sink in. I could tell her singular goal was to make sure I left with something I will appreciate at the end of my life as much as I do now. I am sure I will look back knowing this was a success, and I couldnt say more about the attention I received throughout this process. EE Robbins made this initially daunting process an absolute pleasure.

There is not a singly other jewelry store you should check out if you are planning on getting engaged. From the moment I called the store inquiring about an engagement ring until after I proposed, the staff at Robbins Brothers were there to provide me great information, great deals and ensured that my proposal went off without any issues. Marjorie at the Seattle location made me feel at ease about picking the right ring and center diamond. I walked in nervous and felt great leaving. Boun was instrumental in setting up my surprise proposal on short notice and with little time to prepare the day of. Without him helping out, there is no way I wouldve had the room decorated in time. The best thing about that (other than my fiance saying yes, of course) was that Boun came up on his own time to help me out, without any extra charges, fees, hourly rates or anything. Even after the proposal, he met my new fiance and me at Kerry Park, in Seattle to help us take pictures. I highly recommend this place to any guy looking to propose. They are amazing.
