Horrible customer service and inability to make good on a custom order. My Husband purchased a beautiful necklace for me as a wedding gift from here about a year and a half ago. Two months ago I was in a tragic plane crash where I lost my four year old daughter and my father. In the aftermath of the plane crash I lost this necklace, it had meant a lot to me, something I wore almost everyday. So as part of putting my life back together I went back to this jeweler to have the necklace I purchased from here recreated. At first I was told it was no problem. My husband picked the necklace up a few weeks later, only to find that the chain was completely different from the original necklace. So I go into the store where Lisa proceeds to argue with me and demand that though I wore my necklace almost every day for the last year and a half, I am totally wrong about the chain. So I find the exact chain in the store that was previously on my necklace, point it out to her and say this is the one. What they had on hand at the time was yellow gold and what I wanted was white gold, so Lisa says its no problem to order the correct chain in white gold. I come back a week later to get the new chain and it is completely wrong, Lisa again argues with me, I even have her pull the yellow gold chain out of the cabinet so we can compare chains so she can see that they are clearly not the same. The chain that arrived for me is much larger, Lisa still demands that the two chains are exactly alike even though they are clearly not the same chain. Its the craziest worst customer service ever. And the worst part, my necklace is still wrong. I find myself in one of the most difficult times of my life loosing my child and all I wanted to do was replace my favorite necklace and Lisa was so rude, in the end I paid $667.00 for something I am really just unhappy with and I was treated so badly. I will never shop here again.

I am so glad I went to Fremont. Fremont Jewelry Design was the fourth place I went to dip my feet in the water about an engagement ring. By then it was clear I was going to have to get something made, a route I was hesitant to take. Lisa, however, is a respectful, present, beautiful person who treated me like a gentleman; thats what made me keep coming back. I wanted a faceted rainbow moonstone--which presents two problems: theyre difficult to find, and especially the fact that they tend to be fragile. During the process of selecting the stone and giving her my ideas about the symbology I desired, Lisa did two things: she obeyed my every whim, but she also kept me in reality by organizing those ideas and reminding me what would be most functional. What was very important about this was Lisa keeping me in touch with the romantic expectations of my bride--not only does she have to wearit every day, but shes got to show it to every single person she loves--it becomes a reflection on her. I got an amazing deal on a one-of-a-kind ring and I get to be proud I supported a small business, which is staffed daily almost exclusively by her. THIS IS A REAL ARTISAN! You can tell she loves what she does, and I could tell every visit that she was putting real love into my project, which just led me to putting more love into it myself. Certain people are really paying attention, and Lisas one of them...ivez already been back for a birthday bracelet :) Highly recommended, especially during Fremont art walk.

I brought my girlfriends necklace into this place to get it repaired, two days later they call me to come pick it up. I pick it up, give it back to my girlfriend and she says, "Did you buy a different chain for it?" I said, "uhm, no. Why?" She says, "Well its much thinner and longer than mine" I examine it and sure enough, its different. Confused, I go back to the shop today and the lady tells me that it is the same chain, which it is surely not. Then as I tell her, very respectably, that it is definitely different, she begins to yell at me. I didnt know what to do so I just left the shop. So I dont know, they took the original silver chain and replaced it with a different one? Either way, Im not ever coming back here not only because of a possible chain swap but also the lack of professionalism. I wanted to support a local business but it turns out that it was a bad choice. Should have went to Jareds or some other reliable business.

Over-promises, under-delivers. I needed to have a ring with a patterned band resized. I did not expect any jeweler to be able to cut it and sew it back together -- I asked for an inserted sleeve. At drop-off, this was no problem. Later, I get a call with the quote I requested: They say they can do it by cutting. I am surprised but skeptical. They are very reassuring. This is already the plan -- there is a quote for cutting. There is no quote for sleeving, only a broad ballpark that the simpler, safer procedure would cost somewhere between 3x and 4x more. End result: The splice is awful. I deeply regret acquiescing to their assurances. The damage is done and cannot be undone. The sentimental object obviously cannot be replaced. Also, it is DARK inside the store. Take things OUTSIDE and look at them under sunlight!

I have had the best experiences with this store. They designed my beautiful platinum wedding rings. We we thrilled to wear them and get lots of compliments on how amazing they are. I have been back several times to have my jewelry cleaned and have found other beautiful pieces both for myself and friends/family. I enjoy giving that special gift and I can always find something beautiful for just about every taste preference on my gift list. The store is beautiful and the owner is lovely and has gone above and beyond to make my experiences there wonderful. I have recommended Fremont Jewelry Design to other friends and they have designed rings for 4 other couples that I sent their way. We have all been been very happy.

I collect unusual silver jewelry and antique silver tribal jewelry. I also enjoy finding unique pieces and re-purposing them as well as designing jewelry. I depend exclusively on Fremont Jewelry Design for all my repairs, often on pieces that are irreplaceable. Lisa and Fremont Jewelry Design have also helped me actualize all my re-purposing ideas and bring all my designs to life. I could not be happier or recommend Fremont Jewelry Design more highly. We have had a wonderful working relationship for years and I look forward to many more years working together.

I love this store. I have never come across a staff person who wasnt friendly and helpful. In fact the other day the jeweler went out of his way to fix, the damage I caused my ring and then beautifully polished them all, while I waited. Couldnt have been easier. Im always impressed with the selection and beautiful artist being shown. It is a treat.

Reafi is the sweetest man ever. He was so patient and informative with us in the selection process and even custom made a band to match, when we didnt find one that we had been looking for. Great pricing and extremely professional. Thank you so much! We will be forever customers.
