Update 6/18/2017: Staff has changed here. Guess that is to be expected but the experience is certainly poorer. Gave them three tries with the new staff and the knowledge and experience remain sub-par. Guess it is time to start looking around for another shop. Reducing to a 3 star review. Original. Over the last month my family and I have visited the Lynnwood store multiple times. Our experience has been outstanding. We visited multiple bike stores while researching road bikes for my son and me. The Performance Bike team at the Lynnwood store went out of their way to help us find just the right bike and configuration for us. They moved bikes from other stores up to Lynnwood so I could try different frame styles and bikes to find the best fit for me. Ultimately we purchased two road bikes from Performance Bikes and the multiple positive experiences were a big factor. I understand that service and quality are dependent on the employees you engage with. While not all staff at other Performance Bike stores were knowledgeable a real effort was made at the Lynnwood store to provide us with great help while teaching and coaching newer employees. The company’s policies allow customers to work with whoever they are comfortable and favor the customer when trying new equipment. We will certainly continue to shop here.

I ordered a bicycle and bought a bag from this location. The service at the time was slow, distracted, and uninterested. Two days later they called to tell me that they had over sold that bicycle and could not provide it to me. There was no apology and they had the amount to refund wrong. I called that same evening while looking at my receipt and told them that they had the wrong amounts. They refused to believe me. I decided that enough was enough so I brought the bag in to return it so that I could receive my money back in full. They once again gave me an amount that was short by $40-50. When I pointed this out, their response was that their new inventory system was not very good and that they had to email their manager and help desk to get me my money back. I left with the bag since I refused to leave empty handed and trust that my money would magically appear when I had no leverage. Then I wrote this post. I cannot yet say whether I will eventually receive my money back, but I can tell you that Greggs Cycle is very close and I will be taking my business there from now on. I would not recommend this store to friends.

Ive been in this store several times and not too bad. I normally know what I want and just go and buy it. It has now started to be not so good. Every time you go in there everybody and his brother is asking if you need help. Not a big deal but it does get annoying. I went in to get some shoes and shorts, but they had all the dressing room doors locked so I had to get someone to unlock them. Then while Im checking out with another guy with the shoes and shorts the first guy is going through the shoes to see if Im steeling anything. Called earlier in the week to see if I could walk in and a get a wheel trued, they said sure just stop in. I stopped in and then they tell me they cant do it right away. They did say that they would try and get it later that afternoon. Little stuff but its added up now. I think Ill take my business elsewhere in the future.

I brought my sons mangled bike into the shop today. No appointment. I was immediately greeted by friendly and helpful staff. They looked at my bike right away, gave me a quick assessment, then proceeded to look more in depth. The technician informed me that the bike was totally repairable. Nothing needing replacing (Price dropped 70% right there!) and they proceeded to fix it on the spot! I was out of there in less than 20 minutes for a totally reasonable if not cheap price! I had expected to have to check my bike in, leave it, be called in a few days and told how much all the repairs were going to run me if I wanted them done. These guys have totally earned my trust and respect. Ill be seeing them again!

We went into the store on Saturday afternoon. Two staff members were helping one guy at the register and it looked like there were a couple mechanics in the in the back who looked like they were chatting with a guy. We sat in front of the same bikes for 10 minutes talking while no one said hello, no one said theyd be with us in a minute. Nothing. We just got ignored. So we went to another bike shop and spent $700. Granted, not a lot of money when talking about bikes, but we also have three other bikes at home that need maintenance and we need accessories every now and then. I suppose if we had been standing by the $1300 Fuji we would have gotten more attention.

Went here prepared to buy a bike. We werent greeted when we walked in. After walking around and picking out a bike i waited about ten minutes for someone to ask if we needed help. after waiting, i saw a man standing behind the register doing nothing. Asked him if he could help, he did. He said he forgot his keys at the register. I waited again for about ten minutes and he never came back. After hunting him down i found him helping another customer. Huh? I could list the more things that went wrong. I stuck around and was able to do a test ride... but inside i left a long time ago. I didnt buy a bike and took my money to Seattle. Their loss

Mechanic that assembled my bike should be fired! picked up my bike and rushed to get to work. First bunny hop (to avoid a driver not giving me space) my wheel went one way and handlebars the other way! stem was not tightened!! nearly got run over, had to walk bike rest of the way to work and was late because of this. front derailleur is not installed properly; difficult to shift through gears and makes horrible noise when I try to use high gears.. Just very poor! A great shop with lots of gear at reasonable prices. Was helped by great sales people yet almost died because of a mechanic that didnt know or didnt care. (Charge Plug disc)

Just there once. After moving from out of state, I couldnt get the instant release of my front wheel to work properly. The repair guy saw that the twist mechanism had frozen, found a replacement for it in a bin of parts, and fixed it while I waited. And - didnt charge me! Wouldnt accept a tip. Then spent a lot of time looking at bicycle carriers with me. Im looking forward to their group rides.

Great service and integrity. Ive shopped at other chain stores and local shops. These guys are really friendly, knowledgeable and will help you find the best solution, and not sell you something you dont really need. And Performance Bike has a solid rewards program and prices - shop a bit and you start getting significant money back towards additional purchases.
