The mechanic is the best thing about the shop. He goes out of his way to be helpful. My rating does not reflect the outstanding work he does for the shop. The owner and the lady of the shop lessened my experience there. Both of them have been consistently socially awkward or negative at times. I brought my new Kona in to get a taillight adapter installed on the rack (BTW: the L bracket the owner installed snapped within 2 days after installation) and the ladys reaction was a rather incredulous response of "Oh. You decided on that bike?" I asked the owner about her reaction to seeing my bike and he responded by saying "We cant help but feel a little sour when someone doesnt purchase one of our bikes." Yes. I understand. However, You do not carry all bicycle brands and I may make another bicycle purchase in the future. Also, a fantastic way to lose a customer is to make them feel unwelcome.

It was 11AM and we were at the start of a very long ride. My brakes were really acting up so we stopped in front of Classic Cycle. They werent open until Noon so we started trying to fix the problem ourselves. In the middle of me and my partner arguing over the issue, a man comes up and asks us if we need help. He was the mechanic from the shop! I said "You arent open yet." He replied "Thats ok, I know whats wrong with your brakes. Lets take it inside." Totally surprised, we brought my bike in and he fixed the problem in about 5 mins. He then refused to let me pay! Luckily, my partner needed a water bottle so we at least got to support them that way. What a rad dude! The other thing Ill say about this shop, is that it is beautiful! Wonderful vintage bicycles and paraphernalia. Its like a museum! Definitely worth a visit.

Rented bikes here recently on a first trip to Seattle + Bainbridge and had the absolute best customer service. Jamie was a total rockstar - so kind and helpful mapping out the island for us in great detail based on what we wanted to see, and gave us a wealth of tips on riding around the island as my friend and I arent regular bike riders so we asked lots of questions about the terrain and rules on the island. We did a full day rental even though we only expected to be out for a few hours, but had so much fun even in the rain that we returned our bikes just in time for closing! The bikes were comfortable and we saw so much more than we would have ever been able to on foot. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone visiting Bainbridge looking to rent bikes for the day.

Can only give a review base on my experience renting bikes from Classic Cycle. They were very friendly, helping us map out our trek inland to the Bainbridge Brewery, Winery and Distillery. We had no issues renting a pair of very reliable bikes (Felt) with racks and helmets. It looked like they had a very nice selection of bikes and equipment available for purchase. If you plan on checking on Bainbridge, definitely do it on a bike and give Classic Cycle a look. One word of warning though: Bainbridge is hilly. Its $25 to rent a bike for up to two hours (they werent firm on that time frame with us since it was out of season still), but if you think itll take you a while, you might want to just spend the extra $10 and make a full day out of it.

Thank you Classic Cycle for making me feel welcome when I came into your store on Saturday. I had just purchased a bike on Craigs List and asked to see what it would cost for a tune up. They came out, looked at the bike, pumped up the tires, gave me a small part for my tire and told me the bike was too small for me but otherwise was good to go. They didnt try to sell me on anything, they just gave me great customer service. I will be back to purchase other things needed for a ride.

Classic is my go to shop for buying and maintenance. I have worked with Classic for almost 10 years. Paul and Jamie are fantastic and super knowledgeable about bikes. Gavin is an amazing mechanic and works on the slightest details. This is a true, traditional brick and mortar. If you want cheap parts, crap bikes and a hack job; stick with the internet. If you want well curated product, great services and reliable maintenance, go to Classic.

Classic Cycle is a great shop. They really know bikes and bike repair. I bought a Ritchie Break Away frame and fork from them. Paul knew I had a limited budget and searched out a "demo" at a significant discount, then mounted running gear from my old bike at no charge. This is a "Classic" bike shop, no slick sales stuff, lots of knowledge, service and integrity.

Classic Cycle is a good reason to go "brick and mortar" vice the Internet. Their in-house technical knowledge - vast and deep - reflects decades of experience both riding and wrenching. From pro-racer to weekend cruiser, If they cannot provide a solution to your cycling needs and desires, it probably cannot be had.

Aweful customer service. If you want correct information on products or your bike, or you expect halfway decent customer service then I suggest you stay far far away from Classic Cycle.

Good deal if you come as a group. Jamie gave us awesome tips for a tour and to have a break at some restaurants, breweries, vineyards .. Friendly staff and very well looked after bikes.
