Sunshine bikes is the best bike shop in the Bay Area. Attentive, expert and supportive without being arrogant. Great selection of Mt. bikes and very honest advice without excessive sales pressure. A newbie to and expert can get what they need at a fair price without being over or undersold on what they need. Martin and team are great to deal with. I am sure you can get it cheaper on the internet, but their long term support is worth dealing with the Sunshine every time.

Was riding up Alchemist, looking forward to a loop of Tamarancho with some ride buddies when it became clear that my gears were not shifting correctly...Coasted back down to Sunshine where Finn diagnosed the issue(s) quickly and got me back on the trail tout de suite so I could at least join my buddies for half the loop! Tony at Sunshine Bikes is the best! Just got a new Surly Pacer and he went the extra mile making adjustments to ensure the fit was right. This shop has a great selection of performance components and bikes as well as well as all the stuff for kids, commuters, and touring. The staff is easy-going and super helpful. Best bike shop in the Bay by my book!
