Firstly, I want to say this is not my first time going to costco, in fact, I was an employee back in 1984 and have been a member ever since. So, Im not NEW...I know the card must be shown at the door...okay...however my wife had been shopping inside, was in the long checkout line. We had planned to meet at the food court. As I entered the building, the doorman - (Hawkeye) rudely told me I was not to enter without showing my membership card, go to the other door, I explained my wife was inside with the card, he told me to wait outside and he was going to get a supervisor, so I wait, and wait, then I go talk to the rude folks at customer service, explain wife has card, showed text to them, say we have plans to eat at the food court, again I told to wait outside, so I wait, finally wife comes out to find me, as we go back in, a lady & basket pushes her way through without membership card, so I say to Hawkeye...look... she just blasted right by you, and you didnt ask to see her card? or told to go to the other door, Hawkeye then yells out shes an employee...whatever dude! she was not an employee, she went straight to the food court, right in front of me, said she does not work here. Hawkeye seems to think he in law enforcement or something. Anyhow the folks working there need a class on customer service, I have not seen such RUDE non-helpful people ever at costco, maybe its the management, hiring sour people.

The employees here are disrespectful, rude, and unprofessional. The last 4 times I visited the lacey Costco one employee tried to yell at my 2 year old to get out of his way, to which I promptly called a manager. Another occasion I wanted to change my membership level and the employee argued with me, demanding that I keep my executive membership, and today was the last straw. Upon having our reciept checked, one woman was extremely rude to my mom and said, "hey have you been checked yet?" In a very disrespectful tone, to which I replied, "yes shes with me." Instead of addressing me, she told the other employee who had checked our receipt but she needs to check my bag ( diaper bag). I told get that was fine and the employee proceeded to open my bag while it was on my back. She did not even have the decency to let me turn around and open the bag for her. SHE UNZIPPED MY BAG WHILE I WAS WEARING IT AND HADNT EVEN TURNES AROUND. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS COSTCO??? this employee should be fired! Our family and friends will be coming in to cancel all of our memberships.

I received exceptional customer service at the Costco Tire department in Lacey, Washington. "Kyle" first. He was very pleasant, quick to assist and helpful. His cheerful smile, happy and helpful spirit was a winner. He was very clear and patient with this old lady...ME! Next, was "Tim". He was helpful, patient and kind (like old school customer service). He assisted me by loading the car battery in a basket, and then placing it next to the return/refund outer entrance. (This is very heavy for a senior person...yes, ME again.) This, enabled me to wheel it into the store to get a core charge refund. Mostly, he patiently took the time to locate a purchase via computer dated back to 2014 (I lost my receipt) using the information on the returned battery. (Thats what Im talking about!) Both "Kyle" and "Tim" exhibited exceptional customer service skills!!!!

Best customer service experience today!! I was doing my big shopping and was trying to push 2 very full carts, both with kids in them. A worker had seen me struggling and went and got me an empty cart, took my full carts up to the front to be held for me and even offered to take 2 older kids around to get samples while I finished the last bit of shopping. To top it off, he unloaded my now 3 carts onto the belt and helped me to my car!! Bravo!! I was completely frazzled and he went above and beyond to make it work for me. Thank you!! I wish I had gotten his name.

Its a giant warehouse filled with everything from books to clothes, wine to toilet paper, dog food to diapers, fresh produce to electronics. They have a one hour photo, an optometrist, and a pharmacy. If you want something in bulk for a great price, this is the place for you. Even their gas is less expensive than most gas stations in the area. My biggest issue with the particular store is the parking lot. It is a crazy layout and can be very frustrating. Its like driving through a maze with a bunch of confused, impatient drivers.

Heidi M. who was my cashier was completely disrespectful. She couldnt even hand me my cash in my hand and/or greet me. BUT when the next customer in line gets checked out the cash was handed to her and was warmly greeted. Discrimination at its finest. And when I asked for a manager she yells across asking Jen, "Can you get the manager they want to complain". This is not how I thought Costco runs. Terrible. When I spoke with the manager he looked at me carelessly and made it seem like my words and HEIDIs actions didnt matter.

As far as the store itself I love it. Nice and big and clean. The only reason I gave it a 3 star is because I have been to many Costcos as my husband is military and we always find the closest Costco to do our shopping. The employees arent always the nicest at this one unfortunately. Never had that experience at any other Costco. Just rude and short with people. To be honest having good friendly customer service is important to most and can definitely steer people away even if you like what they carry in store.

The Best Return Policy....I just returned a logitech review(google tv) I bought it a little over a year ago and started to have problems that I was not happy with. So I thought I would take a shot in the dark and ask if I could return it. They looked up that I had bought it there and with a smile asked a few questions as to how come and bam returned with money in hand. Love Love there return policy. Gives such a great peace of mind.

Ive never had a problem with having my goods boxed! I usually carry an icebox in the car so I ask for everything to be boxed but the refrigerated and frozen items. They have always complied cheerfully! In addition, Ive never had anything squished or botched because of their handling. Im sorry the previous rater had such bad luck, yet I go at least two or more times a month and havent had any bad experiences.

Racist employees. Apparently if you are not light skinned, military, or elderly you clearly should not own a costco card. I definitely should not have returned since the first time I received poor service. Commenting this for all diverse races who do not want to be treated like less than a human all because you want to buy some food for the week. I left and went to another grocery store. Ha!

I love my Costco! It is hands down my favorite store on the planet! I rarely have to return anything but when I do they are superb about taking things back that are either just not the right size - - or somehow not as good in quality as I expected (occasionally has happened with a food item). It is not a store to be in a rush in - but its Costco! Courteous service every time!
