I used Home Depot to order bamboo hardwood flooring for a home remodel. I originally went into the store to order the large quantity of flooring and ensure it was the correct kind (click lock, etc..). Had I known I could order it online, I would have done it myself. The flooring associate whose name was Rita was rude to another customer while I waited about 30 minutes to see her. When it was finally my turn to speak to Rita, she offered a consistent amount of attitude and little helpfulness, and badmouthed other customers. However, I completed the order and paid a decent price so I was happy. Fast forward three weeks when 24 of the 25 boxes of flooring arrived. The flooring boxes were stacked on a pallet in 4 neat rows, 6 boxes high, and there should have been one more individual box to make an even 25, but, we were told that box didnt arrive with the others. Because they said it was a vendor issue they re-ordered the last box and we also ordered an additional two boxes for our contractor for good measure. About a week and a half later these three boxes arrived at the store and we were given a call. When they were brought from receiving, all three boxes were badly damaged and several flooring pieces in each box were broken and unusable. The customer service associate was gracious enough to refund us for the boxes. We went to the flooring department and spoke to Rita again about the broken boxes. She explained to us that when the boxes are shipped individually like that rather than on a large pallet, it is "normal" for them to arrive broken; she left unsaid that the reason was mishandling. I said, "So, do your customers just expect their boxes to arrive broken then when they order small quantities like this?" and I didnt ask it maliciously, but I wanted to know if customers at the Home Depot simply dont expect quality, much less for their merchandise to arrive intact. Rita turned to me and said angrily, "SIR, I explained to you what happens when these boxes ship individually..." I bit my tongue, lest I anger her any further. I went home and ordered the remaining boxes online. However, this is not the end! A few days earlier I received an 8 ft. long T Mold transition piece I had picked up from the store. I hadnt opened the box to inspect it because the box was intact, however after seeing the broken boxes in the store, I thought it would be best to take a look. I opened it to find it broken in half, and not evenly. The piece is a solid piece of bamboo and a durable one at that, and whatever force broke it in half inside that box must have been tremendous. Somebody would have basically had to have bent it in half. If I had read a story like this before I had decided to purchase flooring at a big box store, I would have seriously re-considered which store I went to. And Home Depot is not even installing it, this is the mess I have run into simply from ordering it there! The short of it is, I am extremely disappointed in the whole experience. I had nothing against Home Depot previously, but now I feel dread at the prospect of having to order anything else from there for my remodel. I feel like I have to plan not only for the time it takes to ship the item, but the additional time it will take to ship a new item to replace the broken item. The one positive note I will say, is that I like the flooring we have received. It is a hand scraped bamboo, click-lock, dark mahogany color and it looks very nice in our house. It feels and looks to be made of quality material.

I am giving these people 1 star only because it is not possible to give them a worse review. It seems customers are an annoyance to them, And the fact that their price structure is a few cents lower than most of their competition gives them liscence to treat the people who actually bring the money into their store with disrespect and in some cases, outright disgust. When I called to speak to a manager about the snotty attitude i had been assailed with, she proceeded to continue that theme. To be fair, there was a very kind woman i spoke with initially. She however, was getting a nearly constant string of "help" from a co-worker. I suggested it might be easier for me to speak with whoever it was "helping" her. I was asking for verification of a price of a door we had purchased a little over a year prior. This woman gave me the wrong model number, and the incorrect sku number for the door, but she DID manage to get the price right. It was pitiful. Please do NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE!!! This was the last in a series of extemely negative customer service episodes. Research what you need to buy, and contact Arrow Lumber in Buckley. You will be amazed at the money you can save.

I would not give this store half a star. Managers dont know how to even resolve a simple door installation problem. Paid for an installation and was told repetitively by both personnel and managers I would be satisfied with the door schedule installation. Waited three weeks and still cant get it scheduled even though doors are on site. Also employee did not have sample of rustic cabinet and it was so poor in knots, Labeling a cabinet rustic should have been labeled full of holes.

Unfortunately this is the closest Home Depot to my house and theyve finally just lost my business to Lowes. Every time Ive come here Ive encountered a pathetically minimal selection, astoundingly unknowledgeable and unhelpful employees, and Ive actually been told (after driving all the way there) that I should "just buy it online because the shipping will be cheaper"- mind you, I was already spending $1,500 on an appliance and STILL had to pay a delivery fee. Shop anywhere else.

Do not buy Ridgid tools for lifetime warranty - it is a scam. They do not keep their side of the contract. I was told in 2011 by a sales person "Just fill out online information then if you ever have a problem bring it in and we will replace it on the spot" I will never buy a Ridgid tool again nor will I ever shop at Home Depot again. They have failed their customers by false pretense of a warranty.

Staff seems friendly and always willing to help find something, or figure out a problem. I dont like it when store staff are pushy, and here if you kindly let them know that you dont need help, theyll go back to what they were doing. The APP is also very helpful for finding things. great store layout info, down to the isle and bay!

Your visit ultimately depends on which employee you run into. Some employees know where stuff is and thats basically the only way youll find things because nothing is labeled too well. Most things are at a reasonable price and I go there quite often for all sorts of projects.
