Ive been a customer with Computer Stop for at least 7 years, and Ive generally been happy with them. Today, I got good professional advice. I probably spent less than Robert L, but Ive never been treated condescendingly. OTOH, I havent been treated like they particularly cherish my loyalty, either. About 4 years ago, they started asking their customers to sign some additional fine print for each purchase. I see no reason to enter any obligation other than paying the merchandise properly, so I declined. That has never been a problem. But today, they made a big problem out of it, and tried to force me to sign it. That made me even more suspicious. It was not until I threatened to bring my business elsewhere that they caved in "just this once" and wrote their own signature under the paper.

To start off, Im not affiliated with Computer Stop so I dont want my review to seem skewed. Ive been coming to computer stop over the years since building your own computer was "wow, amazing." Their prices are very fair and usualy right on par with the competitors or sometimes a few bucks more. Since Frys came to Renton theyve definitely lowered prices and you can see that theyre actively trying to compete and keep the prices on par. Hell, for monitors I even see them beating the competition. In any case, the thing that keeps me coming back to computer stop is their extremely nice customer service and willingness to always help you without ever pressuring you to buy anything. Support the local underdog when you can - I highly recommend dropping by Computer Stop in Bellevue. - Erich

Baraka helped me out with the parts I needed to update my one of my home rigs and offered exactly what I needed for my purposes. No sales tone, no unnecessary addons or upgrades, no bull, which I can smell two miles away. I even got a discount for the bundle I got -- Mobo, proc, RAM -- the guy knows his stuff. Being in the business myself in a way and building PCs as a hobby for 20 years, I tend to be irrationally averse to getting help when I need to buy local. So to post a positive review really says something. Definitely will continue to support HDNW and give local PC shops a chance when I can!

Stay away from hard drives northwest. Their website is never updated, they have a poor selection, and they are over priced. I drove 30 miles out of my way to get a new processor there, but contrary to their website they did not have it,and all i got told was i should of called ahead. They are unhelpful, rude, and more worried about selling the product they in inventory then to help the person get what they really want.

I went here to buy a server for my business, and they tried to sell me their services to have it install by there makeshift circus they call a support team. After I got the server install, two months later the raid card and all hard drives failed losing all my data. Lucky for me the IT company I went with had it all backed up for me. I can never recommend HDNW harddrives northwest to anyone horrible company.

This might sound like a review of someone who works there but I can assure you I do not. This place is amazing for buying a computer. Not only are the prices good, the computer I bought was quiet AND they have 1 year warrantee on all parts and 3 years free service. Theres no comparison to anywhere. Its simply the best. Ive had my comp for a year now with no issues and it runs the game (Diablo 3) I want.

When they have been able to fix my computer at a reasonable price, they have done a great job. But what I really value is their advice about techniques to lengthen the life of a computer as well as their honesty when the fix is just too expensive.

Im located in Bellevue and Im sick of driving to Frys for something simple as a hard drive, CPU fan etc... these guys have less of a selection but its fairly priced.
