My dad and I visited the Mac store to purchase a new laptop and for advice on how to copy my data from an older iPad II to a new iPad II. Received an unfriendly greeting from a male representative who promptly told me that I would have to pay $19 for verbal advice and at least $39 for any assistance beyond that. He never even addressed my inquiry about purchasing a new laptop. I was a bit stunned by his insistence upon signing into a kiosk and paying the $19 upfront for advice. I then asked that he clarify and confirm that I would have to pay $19 upfront for verbal advice on how to copy my data. He responded in a rude manner with a simple "yes". Other customers overheard the exchange and looked surprised! I told my dad that we should leave and go to the Apple Store at Southcenter (this was not an Apple Store). We visited the Southcenter Apple Store and received very courteous advice and helpful assistance with copying my iPaid data. NO CHARGE! We also purchased a new Mac laptop, mouse, extended warranty and extra external memory. Cost $3,201 including tax. We are happy with the outcome at the Apple Store and very pleased that we did not give our dollars to The Mac Store (which is not an Apple Store) in Kent. I believe that paying Customers deserve courteous, friendly advice and assistance when they walk into your store to purchase computers and repair service, The Mac Store should reexamine its priorities.

My sons 2006 MacBook Pro screen broke - and I mean literally broke such that it would not hold itself open any longer. We put a C-clamp on it for a while and then both sides of it broke and the bottom of the screen itself went black. Time to head to the Mac Store. Tyler at this store save me previously when I thought I had lost the data on my own laptop, so I knew he was the right guy for the job. When we got there, the other guys behind the counter basically told us it would be better to just replace the laptop completely. I was heart sick. Tyler came in and took a look at it. He said he had one just like it and that hed be willing to sell his to us - we could swap out the hard drives and be good to go. We made an appointment to come back the next day and buy his identical laptop. We got there and Zach and Tyler took care of everything. Not only did they switch out the hard drives and make it so my sons laptop works again, they also cleaned up my own MacBook Pro and taught me a few things about how to use it so it will run faster and last longer. I highly recommend this store - especially if you can ask for Tyler or Zach to help you. They both are rock solid when it comes to their knowledge, PLUS they are genuinely nice guys! ~ Shawnna

This store only speaks volumes to why Apple is the greatest company in the world. I needed a charge for my IPhone for an important call. The gentleman ushered me to the leather couches and told me to relax while my phone charged. The Flat screen was playing the movie " up " and I was able to witness the execution of perfect customer service. The staff all very educated as you may or may not be aware, never try to sell anything. They are consultants and they are there to aid you to find the best products to improve your lifestyle. They do not convey to the consumer that they know it all, but in fact they do. I witnessed many senior citizens feeling totally comfortable asking any and all things related from computers to phones. The staff here represents the best of what should happen when you arrive in a store. They respect the customer and the intention is to help you, not sell you. In the mean time I will take a 30 min drive to buy all of my future Apple products at this location. Bravo to all of you who work at this location. My hat is off to you.

Stellar service! My 2011 MacBook Pro finally suffered the GPU failure, which Apple is still honoring a fix for through the end of the year. All the Apple stores didnt have any appointments available for days and I needed to get the repair started before I left town for a work trip. Simply Mac is authorized to do all warranty repair work as well as replacing the flawed logic board from my 5 year old laptop. I brought it in at 4:30p on Wednesday, and they had the repair done for me by 3pm Friday! I also had them upgrade my SSD and secondary HDD while they were at it, I already had purchased the HDD at Frys and bought an SSD from them, and they were more than happy to install along with my requested OS version. $129/hr of shop time to install the two drives while they already had the laptop apart for the logic board was just fine by me, especially considering their quick turnaround in my unexpected time of need.

Just had my power supply replaced on my iMac after a horrendous experience at the Apple Store in Tukwila, WA. The technician was great, told me the back-up date to fix my computer was about three weeks (unusually long wait because of the Christmas season) and they both called me by phone and emailed me that my computer was ready for pick-up. These guys will be our Apple computer go-to service for our professional/commercial photography company from now on. Not the Apple Store.

I dont remember the last time I had such a bad experience shopping. My wife and I went in to ask a question and buy an apple product. We were not acknowledged until one of our kids had to pee. Even then we got directions across the street. When I returned my wife was still waiting and it had been over 30 minutes. Now if they were super busy I would understand but there we four other people there total and then two others walked in and were immediately helped.

If your headed to this store, your headed to the wrong place. The staff seems like they are fresh out of high school with little to NO knowledge of the apple world. They are unable to service products here, and when asked to point us in the direction of someone who could help, they gave us the wrong directions. Save yourself the trouble and the head ache, head on down to the south center mall and go to the apple store there.

The young man who assisted me at this store restarted my iphone in less than 5 minutes though I hadnt been able to restore it in the hours before I took it in, and a friend of mine had also unsuccessfully attempted to restart it. No waiting time at the store, just fast, efficient, friendly service!

Although store workers could clearly benefit from some basic first impression communication training, the service and Mac knowledge are both very good. My five-year-old MacBook Pro needed help, they provided it, and the work was finished in a single day. Very pleased with the experience.
