While I know zero about bikes I couldnt say whether they had a good selection of variety or not (but based on my browse, it was severely lacking) but customer service was lackluster. Walked in the front door and two employees standing there and said nothing and one actually walked away as I passed him. Um ok. Another employee who was w a guest did say hello as I passed him. As I was leaving the two who ignored me when I walked in asked if it had any questions. No, not now I dont. Im leaving and will find a bike and someone interested in being a beacon of info for me elsewhere. Im an adult who doesnt know how to ride a bike and desperately have always wanted to learn. Ive never even been in a bike shop and I wont return to this one.

I ordered a bike online and had it shipped to the store. Shipping was fast and free. I got the bike home and realized that the derailleurs (front and back) were very poorly set up, as if someone had just slapped them on and not given them a second look. I was able to shift the chain off both the crankset and the cassette in both directions. The disc brakes were also rubbing against the calipers (front and back). I can do (and did) take care of these issues, but not everyone is equipped to handle such work. I expected better service from a company that advertises "lifetime adjustments." I guess that first adjustment isnt included.

I came into return bike because I felt like I over paid. I looked around for a bit to try to find one to replace with but didnt see one so I just decided to return. I was told that because the bike dirt in the chain, they would have to take 100 or so off the bike, so i didnt get all my money back. When I was returning the bike the manager was talking to a customer who was bringing a bike in and he said your not returning that bike? I felt like he was talking about me because I was the one returning the bike. I will never buy a bike from here again because Im not willing to pay such high dollar.

I walked into the shop with an idea of what i wanted but wasnt sure what to look for. I was greeted by a good handshake and great attitudes. After answering some simple questions, I was pointed in a direction of what i might be interested in and my options. I went to other bike shops prior and I was completely intimidated by them. The staff at Performance Bikes made me feel welcome and that I was on the same level as them. I ended up buying a Scattante Americano. I am very happy with my purchase. I will be doing all my bicycle business thru them. thanks again guys.

I fully realize that our world is changing and I am old and out of touch, but when did Bike Shops stop carrying basic repair parts? I have been in this store a couple of times looking to purchase simple items( spoke nipples, chain pins, etc) I would expect a bike shop to have on hand, I was simply told "no we do not have that". I left the store mystified. There was a mechanic on duty, but without simple parts, how do they fix the bikes. I see this as a sorry state of affairs. Jed Clampett said it best, "pitiful, just pitiful"

I had an exceptional experience with Coty... He was a very competent, friendly, and helpful fellow, he went so far as to install my new Thule Hitching Post Pro on my car. I would highly recommend this shop, and this young man to my nearest and dearest friends. Prior to arriving at the shop I had researched many bike racks and still was not sure which to choose. Coty was very knowledgeable of racks and helped me make a very informed decision.

I went in here with my wife and she had a question about a piece for her bike. We were in there for 20 minutes and no one helped us. No one even told us theyd be right there. They completely acted like we werent even there. When we went to ask someone for help the staff started walking away. Customer service here is horrendous!!!

Purchased my road bike here a year ago. The service and advice then and since then has remained outstanding. I feel that when I need something, even when I dont know what, the staff are happy to offer solutions which usually cost less then I was going to spend.

Absolutely awful customer service, I walked around the store aimlessly for 20 minutes and not a single employee approached me and there were several employees and very few customers. Now heading to Contes where I shouldve taken my business in the first place.
