Sadly another dying mall. There is some remodeling going on but thats not going to fix the fact that over half of the malls tennats have left in the last couple of years. I was absolutely shocked when I visited this once very upscale, old Richmond money mall about two weeks ago. I knew Amazon was changing the game but had no idea it was happening this fast. I would say 50% of the mall is empty now. This mall was SO NICE in its prime(which was about 7 years ago) but now its just a shell of its former self. When Louis Vuitton left in 2014(after their ten year lease was up)that started the downward spiral of this and Regency down the road. Regency will lose Sears(which is having a MASSIVE 70% off store closing sale until the store closes for good this September)and I have a feeling about a year after that both malls will shut their doors. I remember when Stony Point would make that fake snow every Christmas, it was so pretty. This was such a nice mall and the only real competitor to Short Pump. And do yourself a favor and dont go to the Jelly Belly store. They literally have a few jars full of jelly beans and some random candy scattered about...its heart wrenching! The only bright spot to this mall are the restaurants. Stony Point is dying and its really sad to see it go.

This is a beautiful place to walk around. There are some strong highlights (Sur La Table, CineBistro, etc.) but the number of vacant stores has me worried about the health of the mall. I think that they suffer from not knowing what they want to be. On the one hand, they have a number of upscale stores and decent restaurants that cater to adults. On the other hand, they have a playground and seem to encourage families with kids to visit, but there are few stores or restaurants that are truly kid-friendly. I think a clear idea of what the mall is supposed to be would go a long way in helping stores decide whether to open (or stay open) at Stony Point. I very much enjoy the mall and would spend even more time there if they opened the road that connects the mall to the large neighborhood behind it. Its annoying to be within a mile of the mall yet have to drive all the way out to Huguenot, and then get on Chippenham just to end up less than a mile from where I started. Overall, I hope that the nagging feeling that this mall will fail is unfounded.

Stony Point used to be the place to go. Now, they have more empty storefronts than they do shoppable stores. The restaurants are the only thing holding this place together. They all have outstanding food. I prefer P.F. Changs. They are always updating their menu, the service is great and the food is delicious. Cinebistro is still kicking as well, which is the single most genius movie going experience ever created...because its ages 21+ and you can have alcoholic beverages and a proper dinner during your movie. Although the selection of stores arent so great anymore, its still a nice place to be. The landscaping is still very well kept. It is a good spot for a quiet walk. Just steer clear of the water fountain, it has turned into a super tiny water park for easily amused screaming children. Have fun!

Beautiful outdoor mall currently undergoing renovations. Convenient to Bon Air/Stony Point, but also just a ride across the river from the West End. Accessible from Chippenham Pkwy. Currently has 2 fast-casual restaurants (Panera, Chipotle) + other restaurants, 3 anchor stores (Saks, Dillards, Dicks Sporting Goods), a movie venue (CinéBistro) & smaller shops. Includes: Park-like features, outdoor seating options, centralized restroom area, concierge svc & wifi. Great place for walking around & dog-friendly. Plenty of parking and not overly crowded. Drawbacks: Has vacant non-anchor retail spaces (needs other retail shops that will bring people out). No coffee shops currently, but overall, this is a lovely location.

This dying high-end mall is 2 parts depressing, 1 part charming. Anchored by expensive chain restaurants and a fancy movie theater, its a sobering reminder of how consumer culture is transitioning from its heyday in the 90s to the slow demise brought on by online retailers. Despite its unnecessary existence, Stony Point is a rather beautiful shopping center. Between the empty storefronts that now double as advertisements for the few shops that are clinging for dear life youll find a tasteful fountain or maybe a noble topiary. You can bring your leashed animal into some of the stores as well. In short, spiritually devoid, but aesthetically pleasing.

This is a good place to come in the summer. My daughter loves playing in the fountain. Within the last year they also added a faux grass play area which she also enjoys. Theyve recently made the bathrooms a little less accessible in that they used to have two entrances to get to the bathroom and now there is only one. The mall is also dog friendly with lots of stores that let you bring in your dog as well as dog drinking stations around the mall. We dont really go here in the winter since it is too cold. We did come out last year when they had an ice skating rink, but the rink was pretty crowded.

I agree with some of the other reviewed Im seeing here. This is a really great venue, but the stores are a little too similar. Its not a particularly "fun" place. Its beautiful, but it would be nice if there were some more unique places here. Someone in the recent reviews mentioned more interesting dining, which I agree with. Maybe a nice, casual/modern bar or something? The stores could use some variety, and Im surprised that there are empty spots because if they lowered the rent a bit, some locally owned places could do great in this mall, like bakeries, etc.

This place is very well maintained, with beautiful fountains, plenty of nice seating and they even have an outdoor play area with water spouts in the ground for kids. Its also easy for anyone to find something to do here with the movie theater, candy store, jewelry store, etc. If there is a downside, its that the stores are all pretty pricey, except for a few food spots. But thats just part of the atmosphere and i love it, especially in comparison to some malls Ive been to with a lot of bargain stores.

I have always liked this mall even though it was quite pricey.. my daughter and I were shopping for a dress for me to wear to her wedding coming up. Dilliards was great. We had a great lunch at CineBistro and then wondered through checking out Sir La Table and Bath and Body Works... we also enjoyed the fountain where the kids played in it. But I was shocked and saddened by all of the empty stores. I hope business picks back up for this mall!

Dying mall, wrong business hours are posted on their website. I was there on Tuesday evening and by 8 PM half the stores were closed. I contacted the management office about updating their business hours on their website over two weeks ago but no response or an update to the website yet. Beautiful mall but not too many stores. Many of them have closed in the last two years, over 20 in fact. Dont waste your time just go to Short Pump Mall.

something for everyone! So much to do other than just shopping, and they have a TON of shopping. You can bring the kids to play in the water area, bring the doggies, as it is a dog friendly outdoor mall, and they are adding a dog park, there is a place to just sit and rest and people watch, you can wine and dine while watching a movie, (recommend calling ahead and arriving early) The theatre is always clean and the food is great!
