They were beyond helpful and friendly. My computer died, and I called at around 6 oclock (they close at 7) asking about an update. I had given it to them to replace my dead motherboard. They said that they replaced the motherboard, but it still wouldnt boot, but that they would call back later after trying some more things. I was devastated, because I had already sunk a lot of money into repairing it, and I didnt know what was wrong. They call at 8 (an hour after they close) telling me they found the problem and fixed it, and I quote "they wanted to call me back because when I originally called they didnt have good news". I thought that was just awesome. I came the next day and they had everything fixed, CLEANED (which is way more than they had to do), and working perfectly. Everyone who I met there was very friendly and nice, and it still manages to be way cheaper than every other place.

I looked online for a mac repair shop since I was in desperate need of one. This one popped up on google and after reading the reviews I figured Id give it a shot. My 2014 Macbook Pro was pretty much a $2300 paperweight because I tried to install windows via bootcamp and ended up accidentally deleting the boot-up partition (or mac boot-up files). In short, the mac would not boot and I tried every method in my head that could work, but had no luck and was at a loss. I figured it would be a lot cheaper getting it fixed than buying a new one. I took it into the shop and they immediately called me a few hours later the same day saying they were able to reinstall the operating system and get it up and running again (not sure how they managed to do it, but I was quite impressed). Very good customer service for one of the best prices youll ever find around the Richmond area. Highly recommended!

I have a Lenovo that is the most finicky creature in the world. Sometimes it wants to turn on, sometimes it doesnt. Also, occasionally, the screen just goes black. I really should just get another computer, but Im also a PhD student, so trying to hold off on that. ALB Tech has come through for me every time. Super fast service (usually day of return), super affordable, and always helpful and willing to explain technology things. You generally walk in, are waited on ASAP or at least greeted if someone else is ahead of you, and then they sit down and try a few things before giving you an estimate on time to diagnose with potential solutions with prices. Theyre very transparent from the beginning. I have only ever been fully satisfied when I come to them (usually when Im inwardly dying because have I lost everything?), and they are my go-to lifesavers. I definitely recommend!

I was having problems with my Dell XPS 14z about 3 years ago, and I took it here to have a diagnostic check run on it. Within the same day I had my computer back and was very pleased with their service. About two days ago, the same laptop was having issues not turning on. So since I remember having such a good experience with ALB 3 years ago, I figured Id take it back there and have it looked at again. Earlier today I took it in there for another free diagnostic check, and I sat and waited. My laptop was immediately looked at, and within 5 minutes they had it up and running again. Since it took little time, I wasnt charged anything. I am grateful for the speedy and professional service that they offer. They are very friendly and know what they are doing. Id recommend checking this place out before going anywhere else in Richmond for laptop repairs!

ALB Tech is great. I first went to them years ago to get an ipod repaired. They didnt work on the unit, but suggested a GREAT website to get it fixed. Any time you have a business referring you to a better service, it has my attention. Since then, I have taken multiple family computers to them for repairs. They always diagnose for free, and recommend repairs. Sometimes they recommend not spending the money on a repair. Once again, they turn away business in the best interest of the customer. Stand up business. I would refer them to anyone in the area. They are fast with diagnosis (I have never had to wait more than a business day to hear from them), and get the repairs done quickly. They also always have cool promotions to save customers. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I made a mistake-- I dropped my MacBook and broke my screen. I was devastated because I need my computer EVERY day for grad school work... I called around and one place said it would take up to a week to have my screen repaired and was going to charge me $45 to even do an estimate (plus potential repair costs, etc.) I decided to shop around and I walked into ALB Tech at 6:30pm on a Tuesday and my experience was AMAZING: 1) I received a free quote for the repair 2) my repair was done on the spot 3) my computer is now working perfectly 4) the owner of the store is brilliant with computers and was very professional and helpful 5) the repair was reasonably priced This is a fantastic local business, Ill be happy to go back anytime!

This is the BEST place to help you with any of your computer needs. Adam is so knowledgeable and extremely honest. You feel like you are asking your brother (who knows EVERYTHING about computers) for help. He gives it to you straight... sometimes just fixing it really quickly without a charge, or other times telling you where to order the SSD drive yourself and he will install it. (because it is more cost effective for you the client.) I have sent numerous friends and family members her and everyone is overjoyed with his efficient and direct help. If you are having issues with your computer, phone, or whatever, it is absolutely worth going to ALB Tech. I always come away with a "tip" or finding out something else....

When my MacBook Air decided not to boot, I tried everything I knew (not a lot) and then took it to ALB Tech. Id gone there once before by chance; theyd seen me immediately and solved my problem on the spot. This time was no different. I walked in; was seen immediately; tests were run. This time I had to leave it, but only for a few hours. They reinstalled OS X, did a bunch of updates, and I was up and running and good to go. The price was so reasonable I could hardly believe it. Anyplace else, I wouldve had to leave my MBA for a day or days. ALB Tech is awesomely good. If you have a problem with an out-of-warranty Mac (or PC), these guys should be your first and only choice.

I downloaded Windows 10 to my desktop (a big mistake) and encountered many technical problems. I worked with McAfee tech people and Microsoft tech people, but none could solve my problems. I took my desktop to ALB Tech and showed them the problems and when I returned the next day to pick up by desktop, all the problems were resolved at a very reasonable price. I cant believe I wasted so much time working with with the McAfee and Microsoft tech people. I should have gone directly to ALB Tech. I know now that the next time I have a computer problem, they (ALB Tech) will be my first stop. Thank you Adam.
