Very disappointed with Computer World after a friend had recommended them. I brought my laptop into them because when the laptop is opened, the video on the screen either doesn’t appear or there is lots of static/noise unless I bend the screen very far back. Minor shaking of the laptop (if it’s on a table that moves or the laptop is moved) also causes the static/noise. I bought it to Computer World who told me I needed a new screen. It took three weeks because the first screen they ordered and recieved was defective so they had to order a new screen. The vendor they order the parts from showed no urgency to replace the screen, resulting in about 10 days of wasted time while the defective screen was sent back (not overnight) and they waited for a new screen to arrive (again, not overnighted). The screen replacement fixed a small line running down the left side of the screen and also seemed to end the static/noise, but after a week, the issue reappeared and has been getting progressively worse since then. I brought it back to Computer World, who said it now needed a new screen cable. I asked them to call me if they needed to order a part so I could use my laptop until they got the part. After 4 or 5 days and no call from them, I called them and they said they were searching for the part. I picked up my laptop and asked them to call me when they got the part and never heard from them again. That was a month ago. Throughout the process, despite my explicitly asking them to call me with updates and trying to give them a sufficient amount of time in between contacts, I always needed to call them to find out what was going on with the laptop. I rely on my laptop greatly and I cant afford to go weeks without it. Add to that their lack of communication with me and seeming lack of urgency to get parts, and I took my business elsewhere.

As much as I wanted to leave a good review , I cant. I gave my MacBook to computer world and the consensus was that I needed a new motherboard because of water damage . Even though Ive never spilled any liquid on the device and it stopped working as I was using it I wanted it fixed so I had them ship it off . Originally I was told it would take about a week but I ended up actually waiting about 3 weeks with major gaps in communication. When I finally did get my device back there was only a 1 percent charge that would not hold and I had to send the device back out for a second time and Im almost 2 months in the hole now . I called computer world to let them know that they missed some important details with the new condition of my MacBook and they told me it was a apple part and that Apple would cover it and hung up on me. Ive lost a lot of time and money trying to go through computer world. They were very nice in person but anybody will be nice when your paying them 500 dollars right . I should be compensated because of the lack of attention paid, they shouldnt have given me a device back in worse condition than I brought it in.

Jerome really is the best price in town. He does not spend much on a "store front" so he can offer better prices than anybody else. He is very well known through word-of-mouth; as a result he is very busy most of the time. You may have to wait a week to get your computer repaired. His techs may not be the most professional but they are very knowledgeable and they know what they’re doing. He sells refurbished laptops and desktops for a fraction of what you would pay elsewhere. He also has a permit for equipment recycling. He will not charge you to recycle your dead computer (most places will charge you a fee) and just an FYI throwing computers in the trash is illegal. He is a “salesman” but he has a good heart and deep down is a really good guy. Finally – anybody who puts 1 star here, for a rating, and does not back it up with a comment is simply a case of sour grapes. Because we all know that no good deed goes unpunished.

Found these guys online when I was looking for a cheap used desktop. Ended up emailing them and getting a VERY fast reply that the computer I was interested in sold but he had a way better unit for only $25 more. Ended up going by the store and purchasing it! Got a great deal on a great computer WITH a warranty and also I can say I shopped local instead of going on eBay. I plan on returning here for anything else computer wise that I need.

I would not take my computer anywhere else. You walk in, are greeted quickly and are treated like they appreciate your business!! Most of the time Jerome will stop someone to address your problem if he feels like it is something that can be fixed quickly. In and out with the problem solved. If you have to leave your computer they get it back asap. These guys are the best. Great service at a very fair price. 5 stars!!!

This company is amazing. I have used them several times for problems that sometimes ended up being me and not the computer. I purchased a laptop and my husband also purchased a desktop computer. The prices saved us money and the computers are good equipment. I cant say enough good things about the employees and the owner. Use this company! They are locally owned and much better than the big box stores.

Had my hard disk replaced and my laptop back up and running in less than 24 hours. He was not only cheaper than the "best rated" guys I consulted first, he offered free advice that was right on target. I felt he was honestly trying save me money (not to mention pain and suffering). He really knows his stuff. Thanks for bringing some humanity to what was a very stressful situation.

Ive been there on more than occasion. Nothing Ive ever purchased (only purchased laptops) or had repaired (laptops I purchased there) has lasted 6 months. Everything needing repair "needs a new mother board." This includes the laptops they sold me. The warranty is 60 days......REALLY???? Save your money by from a reputable company. So much for "buy local."

Extremely helpful. I needed a basic computer part that would have taken days from amazon and newegg and they had the part in stock and asked a very reasonable price. During a new build I would definitely stop there again before going to one of the big box stores or going online

First guy I talked to was very polite but when he transferred me to someone else to ask about selling them a computer I had things went down hill. The second guy was very rude and said "Nope not interested , bye" and hung up before I could ask anymore questions.
