After a power outage in November 2007, my computer would not power up. I suspected it might be the power supply, removed the power supply, but could not find an exact replacement without having to order one online. I called their store, they said to bring in the power supply AND computer so they could check it out. They immediately wanted to write up a ticket and take the computer. I asked if they could just check the PS to see if its working. The tech voluntarily took the power supply in back to check it. When he came out, he said the problem is "not the power supply" so I figured its something else. Long story short, they contact me several hours later to tell me it WAS the power supply after all. Had I known it was the power supply, I would have bought a power supply from THEM and installed it myself.....avoiding 75 minutes of tech time charges. Why it took that long is beyond me because I had removed the power supply in less than 10 minutes and could have reinstalled a new one in about the same time.....I HAVE done that before. The technician AND owner tried to explain that, even though the power supply tested ok, when put under load in the computer, it may not power the computer. Gee, it would have been nice if they had told me THAT when I was there. But they didnt because they wouldnt have been able to charge me for their useless tech time. In correspondence between me, the owner (Dave) and Discover Card, Dave states that I brought the computer in a handful of pieces. He makes it sound like I completely disassembled it. I had removed the power supply and put the cover back on the computer. Trust me, there HAS to be a better computer repair store to use than these guys. They ARE just out for your money.

I dropped a laptop for a diagnostic and estimate that they said they would provided the following day. After 3 days of no word, I called to find out that they had not yet done anything as they had lost my password and the tech was out sick. I arrived to pick-up the computer with intentions to use it for a few hours and take it back later in the day. Upon arrival, the tech was still not in but I was told it would be $160 for the glitch in explorer to be fixed. In addition I was told that 50% of that was the cost for them to provide an estimate and was due immediately for them to give me the computer back with NO repairs done. Their rate is $79 per hour and they do not seem very technically savvy, and certainly do not run their business professionally.

I went to their store with a laptop that would not turn on I left it with the $79 diagnostic fee and they said they would call me back when it was done being repaired. Later that day I got a call telling me that it was the adapter that was causing the issue. They then gave me a contact information where I could buy a new one myself for a very reasonable price. I got a new one for about $40 from their suggested source and my laptop has worked great. Thanks to NOVA Computer!

This initial repair costed $79 for labor ($30 higher then BestBuy) and $81 for power supply ($50 more then BestBuy). I took computer home then processor died which they claimed was a separate issue....hmmm, and another $90.00s later, they claim BestBuy sucks you in for a second visit....These guys will be out of business very soon!
