They say they want a review? The getting of my vehicle was good. Its what happened afterwards when it came to customer service. The car was marketed with heated seats the sales associate also mentioned the heated seats. I get the truck home guess what? No heated seats. This was not a big issue I thought it would be an easy resolve. Yeah right! I tried to negotiate something with the first manager I said give me a 250.00 rebate he said he couldnt do that, then I said then just put a more updated stereo in he said he couldnt do that either he said he would call me back . Also I need to add the manager wanted to hide behind a disclosure that I never saw, When he called me back he offered that CarMax would pay half 500.00 for the heated seats if I would pay for the other. I said no and that we could not come to a meeting of the minds. So I emailed corporate and the CEO expressing my displeasure with the way this was being conducted. The next day I get another call from a different manager telling me CarMax will pay for the seats. I bring the truck in and they gave me a loaner. The next morning I went to turn on the wiper blades and they were all worn out. I called the service dept they said they dont carry the windshield wiper blades just bring the car back and they will give me a different one. About an hour later I get a call saying they do have the blades. The problem was the service dept shuts down at 5:00 p.m. So I would of had to take time off from work to get the blades changed. What I would of done would send a service man down to where I work and change them there but no! So after work I go back to CarMax to change out the car. Heres where it gets good nobody on the evening shift knew I was coming in to swap out the car. Did I tell you this was Valentines Day. So I sat out in the lobby for about 10 minutes while they try to figure out what they are going to do. Then they come in and said there going to change the blades on the car they loaned me in the first place, again why could they not send someone down to where I work to not make it a inconvenience for me. Okay now I have a bitter girlfriend for being late on making her dinner okay Im embellishing here a little. I get a call truck came back heated seats in BUT now I have a crack in the windshield. Im 99.9% sure there was no crack in it when I drop it off. They said they would get the windshield fixed (thank you). It took a couple days but I finally got my truck back and I still love the truck but pray to the heavens above I dont have to go back to that store.

2017-08-19 wife wanted to buy a vehicle, so I sent Charlie a text, he responded and we talked by text and or phone, he got the car that we found on carmax website, it was in Maryland, he put it on hold and transferred it to carmax in Newport News per my request, he told me that it needed a state inspection before we could test drive the vehicle, I text him today and he told me the car arrived last night and the state inspection was completed, we scheduled to arrive at 2pm, when we finally got outside to look at the car, someone called my name and told me that he was looking at the car, and he told me that Charlie told him that that car is being held for Howard (me), and then while my wife and I were inside the car, some other man approached the car and walked all around the car and my wife spoke to him briefly, that guy thought the car was nice, too. So, Charlie took good care of us, stepped away, so we could discuss and make the decision about buying the car. After purchasing the vehicle, the car was cleaned and a ribbon was placed on the hood of the car. I recommend Charlie Braman and he will definitely take care of you! 2 years prior... Charles Braman was my salesman, he sat down with me, we had small talk, told him my situation and what I want, etc..., he got Carmax to appraise my previous car (for trade-in), their appraisal amount only last for 7 days, so I arranged to transfer a vehicle to Newport News, so I can test drive and possibly buy the vehicle, but the vehicle transfer would take too long to wait, so Charles Braman found a similar vehicle in Virginia Beach, I traded-in my previous vehicle at the originally-appraised amount, and I purchased the vehicle from Virginia Beach. Charles Braman would talk to me via phone/SMS (text message), and he still talks to me by SMS whenever I have a question about the vehicle after I purchased the vehicle. Also, Carmax recognized some scratches on the hood of the vehicle before I purchased the vehicle, and they asked me to schedule an appointment to get the scratches buffed out. When I scheduled an appointment, they sent me SMS text messages to my phone 1 and/or 2 days before my appointment to remind me of the scheduled appointment. I rescheduled at least once, and Carmax personnel was pleasant to talk to and work with. When I finally arrived for the appointment, Carmax personnel was very pleasant to talk to and work with, and the personnel that buffed out the scratches did the job, perfectly!!! I fully recommend Carmax. I got the car that I wanted. Thank you Carmax and thank you Charles Braman! Last but not least, I got the best interest rate on an auto loan offered by my bank (Wells Fargo). :)

Our vehicle was destroyed by Hurricane Mathew and the purchase of a replacement vehicle was in order however, my wife and I did not look forward to the stress of looking for and purchasing a car. We decided to look at the vast selection of cars at the Newport News Carmax and were greeted by Charlie Braman. We explained our plight and he walked us through the process of buying and financing a certified car from Carmax. He showed us cars that he thought would serve our specific needs and encouraged us to walk around and look at other vehicles. To say the least Charlie took away our anticipated stress and put us at ease. We liked several of the cars he suggested but in our final selection it was a Toyota Venza that caught our eye however, we were not thrilled with the color. Charlie found us another Venza in the color we were looking for and had it transferred to Newport News for our inspection and after a test drive we purchased the car. WeI want to thank Charlie for his professionalism, understanding our dilemma and doing the right things to put us at ease. Charlie is a professional in all aspects and when we need a car in the future we will be calling on Charlie for assistance. I have already begun recommending Charlie to our family and friends. We also want to commend Patricia Norfleet that assisted us with the paperwork associated with the purchase. She was knowledgeable, polite and courteous and she had a genuine smile on her face. It was evident to us that she was a people person and enjoyed working with us on our purchase. It was a pleasure working with Patricia. In today’s environment it is rare that we encounter such excellent customer service that we encountered with Charlie and Patricia. Carmax is well served by having Charlie and Patricia in their employ. Thanks and great job guys!
