Hello my name is Shelby Johnson and I feel as though fellow consumers should be aware of a situation that is going on. On the 16th of May my fiancé and I got a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox from Red Lion Chevrolet. In order for us to do this we had to put $500 down and our total monthly payments came out to roughly $552 I traded in a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sport that had $26,834.23 still owed on it. On the 3rd of June I received a call from the dealership stating that they needed the car back. I asked why and A few days after we signed the contract for the car I got Laid Off from my job as an Assistant Manager and supposedly this was not ok with the finance company and they told the car dealership they wouldn’t finance the car for us anymore due to "Fraud" because I supposedly lied about my job. MY fiancé and I discussed with them that we get another cosigner. So my Fiancé contacted a family member and they said that it’s fine and cosigned. The next day we got a phone call stating that they found a bank that would finance us but it would be at a higher interest rate and with that being said the payments would be higher. I told the gentleman Doug that that wouldn’t work and that I am not paying more when I signed a contract for the amount that I signed it for. He went on about how it’s actually not that much more and that we would be saving it in gas due to the wonderful MPGs that it gets. My fiancé and I both told him no. We asked if we could get the Jeep back beings that was the car we traded in and they Said No we already paid the bank off for it. I also asked out getting the money back that we put down for the car and they said no because of the $4000 loss they took to pay of the Jeep but if we finance the Chevy through a different company they would put the $500 down on it. We both agreed that this was we still didn’t want the car and Doug from the dealership said that he had to contact people to pick up the vehicle. We got it figured out and after 1:30pm on the 5th day of June they were coming to get the car. After all of this they called me the day that the car was supposed to be picked up and told me that they found a finance company that would finance us at the original price of $552 as well as giving us the same interest rate. I told them no and that I dont feel as though they have very good liability and that I was going to deal with someone else and that they needed to come get the car and that i was done with their POOR business practices and they said that they are contacting their Law Office and they would see me in court. At around 2:30 they came and got the car Which I was fine with and my day went on. I got home around 545 and didn’t feel very well at around 630 I woke up from a nap looked outside and they dropped the Chevy back off. I called Doug and told him he needed to come get the car. I am sick of their games and that I was going to take the car up to a shopping center and leave it there and they can go get it there and that I didn’t want to deal with them anymore and he said that they want me to have the car until everything is figured out. Currently the car is technically not ours beings it’s not being financed and i took the insurance off of it on the 4th of June so I will not be driving it. There are so many things that the car dealership is doing illegally and I feel as though I am responsible to let everyone know what this company is doing.

We have dealt with Red Lion Chevrolet for many, many years and have purchased several new as well as used vehicles. The salesman we always deal with is Mike Lowrey and will continue to do so as long as he is there. He is an excellent asset to your company and has always given 150% to make sure we are 200% satisfied. We also have all our maintenance done in your service department and are very pleased. Another pleasing experience we had this time was with your finance manager, Sean Fitzpatrick. Sean did not push any extra purchases on us and when we said no, he respected that decision. When he found out our son had a very unpleasant experience with Gap, he acted genuinely concerned so we explained the situation. We swore we would never purchase it because of this. We made Sean aware of this but was open to listening what he had to say about it. He explained it in detail and we learned some things about it that we were not aware of. Still, he accepted our decision to not purchase it and did not push us to do so. We did not feel pressured as we have in the past with some of your other finance managers, but instead was pleased that he took the time to explain things to us. Sean is also an excellent asset to your company and I hope he stays around like Mike has. I love my new Cruze and am so glad we made the decision to purchase it. Thank you! Wanda and Ed Baublitz

I found a truck I liked online. It is the end of the model year, so I knew my options would be limited. It turns out that Red Lion Chevy had a truck that was almost exactly what I wanted. This was on a Thursday. I exchanged a few emails with Dawn (web person) and she had Michael Stamey call me. Note: Red Lion Chevy is about 60 miles from where I live, so I was clear that I wanted to make sure everything was a done deal before I drove there and back. We went back and forth on a few details (trade, options, etc.) on Friday, and I did my deposit over the phone. I expressed interest in Android Auto rather than Apple, and a few minutes later the conversion was done. On Saturday I drove to the dealership, my new truck was pulled around as I pulled up. We did my paperwork and I was on my way home a couple of hours later. I had visited 2 other Chevy dealers earlier and never felt that they really wanted my business. Red Lion Chevy certainly did. Michael understood that I didnt want to spend an entire day at the dealership and he had everything well underway before I even left my house. This is the 6th vehicle Ive purchased, and probably the best experience. I did a fair amount of research on the truck I purchased, and I felt the price was better than fair. All in all it was a very good experience.

I have been searching to buy a new car for a while now and I came across one on the Red Lion Chevy website so I sent an email stating my interest and I received almost an immediate response. I was contacted by email and by phone and I set up an appointment for the next day to come and take a look at the car. My husband and I came into Red Lion Chevy last night and we were greeted by Greg at the front door. The vehicle we came in to look at was no longer available but Greg told me not to get discouraged. Greg, my husband and I looked through the inventory and we came across a 2015 Chevy Malibu that was right in my price range and it was here on the lot so I took it for a test drive and I fell in love. When we came back to the showroom Greg was waiting and asked how we enjoyed it and I told him that we loved it and I wanted it. Greg worked very hard with the finance manager to get us approved and we finalized the deal last night. I came back today with the remainder of the down payment and Greg had all of my paperwork ready to go, all I had to do was sign a few papers and I could take her home. I will definately be returning to Greg when we are ready to purchase another car for my husband!!!
