My almost purchase experience was very negative with this company. On the same day of my retirement, stopped into the dealership and spotted the perfect bike. This Suzuki Boulevard had very low mileage and well below retail price. Bike was situated in the center, left side showroom. I looked over the bike and proceeded to my Credit Union. I was informed with the Bank that if I liked the cycle, to pick up a purchase order, not to place a down payment, and the Bank would immediately write me a check for the full amount. The next morning I returned to the store. I was told nobody is on commission and not to feel pressured. A discussion ensued about no test rides, there is an extended warranty program, placing a non-refundable down payment of $500 dollars, aftermarket options, the motorcycle safety course, and equipment. I was advised to “step out of the building and to think about it.” A big issue for me was making sure I was adequately covered with my insurance company of 30 loyal years. The salesperson advised me not to worry about which insurance to pick, I would be covered, that they would help me, and to disregard my agent, to “cut out the middle man.” It was Saturday, and I advised him this was not acceptable, but I still chose to purchase the cycle. I rushed over to my Credit Union, they cut me a check for full amount, and I brought it back to the dealer. As I handed over the endorsed check there were no handshakes or thank you, just a reprimand from the sales manager, stating I should have called them immediately after approval from the Credit Union which is approximately 10 minutes from the dealership and there were now 2 customers ahead of me. I needed to take my friend home, and was told to stay close to my cell phone and wait for a call in the afternoon to return later that same day to the dealership. No calls came. Early Monday morning, I drove to my insurance agent’s office in Stafford, purchased insurance, made a payment, got the proof paperwork and was advised by my agent that this was the proper way to do business. Still no phone calls from the dealer on Monday morning. I drove over to the store. There were no customers present, but one salesman, the sales manager, a parts guy and two office ladies. The main manager arrived about 30 minutes later. I told the sales manager that insurance was in place, and the bike would be picked up at 2:30. He asked me if I was going to take their motorcycle class on Saturday. I politely stated that I could not schedule it for this coming weekend. He told me that the office would help me shortly and walked away without any further conversations. There were no customers in the store for the next hour other than parts inquiries. The office personnel did not approach me or inform me about the 1 hour wait with zero customers. Once again, they were holding my endorsed check with full purchase price. I started to have a bad feeling about this deal, walked out into the empty parking lot, and called inside. A woman answered the phone and stated that the manager was away from his desk. I advised her that the deal was over, and to return my check to the Credit Union. I returned an hour later and personally picked up the check with no apology. There is a possibility that this Cycle was used as a “lost leader tactic” and the company had no serious intention of finalizing a sale at that time, or perhaps the sales/buyer chemistry was not present. Sorry everyone’s time was wasted. GC Banfield

We had found this place online thought it would be a great place to get a bike. My good friend was looking to finance her first bike there. She has good credit, a great job, and $ for a down payment. She found a bike she was interested in but couldnt find a salesperson to help her proceed with purchasing the bike or even how to inquire about the bike, at all. Finally, we decided to approach a lady who worked in the office. She seemed extremely un-interested in selling the bike and was very awkward and unthusiastic, and snobby. Finally, we found a floor sales person who could tell us a little bit more about the bike, he tried to to start the bike but it wouldnt start and swore that it ran fine and was a great deal.... But it wouldnt start. The parking lot is abandoned and you would swear the place looked closed upon approaching it because its looks so barren. The only reason I gave this place 2 stars is because they really do a have a nice selection of bikes. It would be nice if they actually tried to sale them though, you know for like profit? Were glad she didnt get one from there though because we went to a Harley-Davidson store in Orange VA 3 days later and she got bike she really enjoys and they actually made buying her first bike a exciting experience. I would avoid Classic Iron.

I started out looking for a Ultra Classic Limited all over Central Virginia. Then I Came Upon classic irons website and saw several bikes that peaked my interest. As soon as my wife and I walk through the door we were treated with nothing but professionalism and great customer service. The salesman showed us around and then left us alone so we can make a decision on which bike we wanted to purchase. After deciding on a red Ultra Classic Limited the buying process was very painless. However we got there so late that we couldnt take the purchase home that Saturday and had to return the following Saturday to pick up the bike. When we arrived there the bike was ready to go and the paperwork was ready to go as well all except for the insurance binder was not sent to them as I was told by my insurance company so therefore that was not classic irons fault. Overall my experience with classic iron was nothing but positive I would buy another bite from them in a heartbeat.

Went to wanting to buy a motorcycle and it was bad experience. At first No one was there to help, then it seems that they dont care if you buy from them or not like if they were the last motorcycle shop on earth. Very unprofessional, not wanting to help with questions and information i need it. Price was high and motorcycle wouldnt even start, it was just an odd situation where the best options was to buy from another shop. And on top of that when leaving, I had my trailer outside parked in this huge parking lot they have and notice this guy not sure if was the owner giving me a bad look for parking there, and making suggestions to move truck/tariler, where else was I supposed to park with my trailer that I brought to take the motorcycle?!!! Really?!!!.. I dont recommend this place, I went to Harley down the street and they had great costumer service, helped me with everything from start until leaving with my new Harley :-)...

Very happy with my purchase from Classic Iron. Great prices and great people. Red the salesman made the buying experience of my first motorcycle very easy and did not pressure me at all. Everyone there was very helpful and knowledgeable. They take you through the whole process and make sure everything is taken care of before you go out the door from inspection to registration and titling. Derek the mechanic went through the whole motorcycle with me and answered any questions that I had. He explained everything that you needed to know before you left. He even helped me loading it onto the trailer and securing it. They have a great team at Classic Iron and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a motorcycle.
