Ive been to this shop a few times but the last time I stopped in was with my wife during the winter to check out a scooter they had on sale for a couple grand. The moment we walk in the door the salesman/owner/manager or whoever, immediately tries to sell me this huge $15,000 BMW that I have no interest in, no money for, and no business trying to ride at my street bike skill level (and Im only 56"). Its like at the furniture stores, they accost you and I absolutely hate that. Just introduce yourself and let me look around a bit! After I make it clear Im only there to see the scooter and ask about a test ride I mentioned something about servicing my current bike which is not a BMW (I do 99% of my own work on my cars and motorsports but I was just making small talk cause the guy wouldnt leave us alone). The guy openly sneers and says they dont service other makes. Plenty of shops do but whatever, they not only lost a customer but the off brand scooter wasnt worth $2000 even though it was new. Im pretty sure they dont even carry that brand anymore. Ive since purchased two other bikes, a scooter for zipping around town and an entry level adventure bike. Both were a small fraction of the price of a BMW. I cant speak for everyone who works at this shop, but I have no intention of ever really going back to this place. I will say many other shops in our area are equally obnoxious. Heck, I even worked at the local Harley/Jap dealer, for a week I think, before I quit. Im not sure why the atmosphere of these places has to be so unpleasant but as a customer I can only give my honest review.

My opinion...The service manager at Country Rhode is among the worst, most ornery, lethargic people I have ever dealt with in my many years in this sport. Last year I wanted to trade my BMW in on a new bike. I was told they didnt want it as it was a K Bike. OK, I understand that they are entitled to make this decision. So, I spent several months trying to sell my bike at a fair price. Finally, I did. The buyer is coming from Maryland and I welded my starter relay from a bad battery they sold me a year ago. I called and explained my dilemma to the service manage. "One month" (for service) is all he would say. I again explained the situation..."one month." I offered to pay overtime for a mechanic..."one month." So, I likely have lost a sale, but County Rhode DEFINITELY lost a sale, Everyone I have spoken to has the same opinion of this guy. The owners need to wise up. It is too bad since the owner is one of the nicest women I have met. Imagine spending 25k on a BMW, then having to wait one month if something goes wrong during our short riding season.

Terrific shop with an eccentric product line consisting mainly of BMW motorcycles, Vespa scooters and- the reason I visited their store- ZERO Motorcycles. All the staff were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Having ridden bikes my entire adult life, about 30 years, I arrived skeptical about how much I would enjoy a ZERO Motorcycle. Riding one was a revelatory experience. Truly amazing.

Great place to get a solid bike, the staff was fantastic. I defiantly plan to get any future bikes from here, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a motorcycle.
