My landlord bought an appliance with a dent in it that was supposedly cosmetic. After one week it stopped working. Because my landlord bought the item the service department required a release form. No problem, I give them my landlords email to send it to. I send my landlord a note. A week goes by and my landlord gets back from training and says, I never got the release form, did they send it to you? Nope. I call again, this time while on the phone the rep verifies the email and sends the form. I get a call and a voicemail that says a tech will be out on Friday. OK, I call them back to confirm and ask them a couple of questions. They ask if the unit is installed properly, I tell them that there is nothing to install at which point they say, oh, we cant work on those. They give me a number to Frigidaire and, after two days working the issue, Frigidaire schedules a service call with East Coast Appliance as they tell them that they can work on it. Ummm, they cancelled my last appointment because they told me they COULDNT fix this model. So, I call them to confirm the date and time. They have it scheduled for sometime next week and will call when they have a date however, it is scheduled for my landlords house with his phone number. That wont do me any good. I give them the correct address and phone number to call, the woman on the line is surly and gives the impression she doesnt want to be bothered. Tuesday night rolls around and I get an email from my landlord. East Coast Appliances called him to schedule a tech between 1230 and 1500 the next day. I specifically told the surly and clearly incompetent woman on the line that they needed to call me and NOT my landlord. Especially given the fact that NO ONE would be home during that time frame! I called East Coast the next morning and spoke to a different woman. She looks up the service call and it shows that they were scheduled to go to the landlords house not my house where the appliance is located. I give her the correct phone number, again, and the correct address, again and tell her to instruct the technician to call me 30 minutes prior to his anticipated arrival so I can make sure someone is there. She says shell annotate it and make sure the service tech does this and if I miss the call he will leave a message so all I have to do is call him back to confirm the time. 1240 I miss a call and get a message from the tech. He is sitting in my driveway and has rung the doorbell several times but no one answered. I immediately call him back and ask him if he was ever told to call me at least 30 minutes prior. He says no he was never told this. Thankfully he was willing to wait for me as I sped home to meet him. He tells me that he got a call to give him the new address and phone number but nothing was said about calling ahead. After some trouble shooting it is determined that the dent caused the fan housing unit to jam the fan, the microwave then overheated and blew an internal fuse. He made a repair to unjam the fan and will order the fuse. I asked him if these appliances were inspected before they were sold. He said that they were supposed to be inspected by the service department prior to being placed on the sales floor. It was apparent to both of us that the service tech plugged it in and turned it on, heard the main unit running and called it a day. Had he actually done his job he would have realized that the fan was not functioning as there is a difference in sound when the fan runs and when it does not run. I will never buy anything from this company and have advised my landlord to not use them in the future. The field service tech was very knowledgeable, pleasant and honest unfortunately it is pretty apparent that he is the exception and not the rule to a business who lacks integrity and doesnt understand the term Customer Service.

Kyle Louder was my sales person. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. I was originally interested in a frigidaire but decided to go with a Whirlpool. While I was shopping around I was able to find different models that East Coast Appliance did not carry. But Kyle assured me that he would be able to get them at a price lower than any one else. He was right and got me the appliances I wanted at a price I couldnt beat. When the appliances did arrive at the store Kyle call me to setup a delivery date. I was able to choose the date that I wanted. When the delivery guys arrived they were very helpful. I thought that they would use a hand cart to move the appliances into the house. But they used this cool strap that between two guys were able to lift it with ease. While I was not entirely ready for the appliances to be installed I had them put them exactly were I wanted them. They were also very helpful in moving my old fridge to my garage at no extra charge. Again the way they moved the fridge with out tipping it over was extremely cool. I would recommend anyone to purchase there appliances from East Coast appliance and electronics. There professionalism was above and beyond the average sale. Order# 470216

Was looking to upgrade our oven and I always drive by so I thought we should try east coast appliance. Found what we wanted and was out of the door within 20 minutes, this was the last of our pleasant experience. At first we were told they could deliver the next day, but she didnt realize the one they had in stock was damaged. We were told it would come in a week, fine. We were called in a week and told the one that came in was also damaged and we would have to wait another week, disappointing but fine. I left for Florida for training, but whIle gone, my wife was called and told it would not be there for another two weeks. Frustrated, she inquired what was taking so long and how it was unacceptable to continue waiting like this. She received a snarky, disrespectful answer from the employee stating that they would not be able to do anything else (after being told an earlier delivery date THREE times). After the rude EMPLOYEES suggested to cancel our order, we happily obliged. They also claimed to price check, however we found a stove almost exactly the same from Lowes (just down the road) for $200 less. And it delivered the very next day.

I will never shop there again. I needed a refrigerator for a rental property. Price was good and they shipped it to the house. When it got there it had electrical problems and threw the beakers on all outlets. Called the store and they said hey would have a new one out next day. Instead they sent an employee to make sure the refrigerator was the problem and once they confirmed this they no longer had a black refrigator in stock. Even there delivery drivers told them it was bad. They said they couldnt replace it until 5 days later. They had to order a new one. I had renters in the house that needed a refrigerator. I wanted them to refund my money so I could get a quick replacement at another store and that was an even bigger issue. Said had to pick up the old unit and that would take another day of waiting and working out pickup schedule. Instead I got stuck with the floor model and still took 4 days to get it! They have scratch and dent that they should have used until they could get the replacement. Horrible attitude, terrible customer service and complete idiots. Especially management. Run go anywhere else!!!!
