I really wanted to learn to sew but needed both the space (peace & quiet!) to do so and as a complete (adult) beginner, I knew I required individualized instruction. I am so happy I found Sew Magarbo and met Miss Precious! Over a year-long course my "sewing sisters" and I each worked on our projects at our own pace and had full access to Miss Precious expertise and the studios amazing machines, plus an incredible selection of high-quality fabrics and notions. Precious and her amazing staff provided individualized, hands on, informative tips & tricks to guide us through our projects. It was something I looked forward to every week! I am so proud of my projects, even though my seams are a little off and the hems a bit uneven, it felt so great to accomplish something each week. But probably best of all, I met and was able to work along side amazing women from all walks of life (moms, retirees, millennials) each with their own level of expertise from beginners to experienced quilters and bond with them through a truly unique craft - an experience for which I am forever grateful. They say that "you attract what you are" and Precious has both the dedicated staff and awesome clientele to prove this.

To ANYONE who is considering learning and or making friends or even completing the sewing projects you just havent gotten around to....I must say this has been a fantastic year in working on improving my skills with sewing. I had no idea of why I would sew the way I did until Precious lopez taught me not only great skills in the industry but more efficient ways of completing my projects already started so that I can then move into learning fun things to sew as well. In addition the icing on the cake was making fantastic friends along the way. Thank you Sew Magarbo and all the teachers for the classes I did but especially a HUGE thank you to Precious Lopez. I will always remember and share with my daughter all that you have taught me and now she too is having fun learning in your classes you provide from after school and now in Summer Camp! I Love this place,came in with very little sewing knowledge and no sewing machine. They showed me to shop for fabric, to read and sew from patterns, to install different feet, and so many other useful tips. I was able to practice on a user-friendly Janome machine that I bought. I learned so much in this class, I really cant say enough wonderful things about it. Pracious is extremely knowledgeable, patient and delightfully pleasant lady and such great teacher. I really enjoyed my time at the store and plan to take more classes in the future.

I was a student of Precious, and I HIGHLY recommended her and the studio. She has the patience to teach at any level. She tells it how it is. She wont sugar coat anything which is very rare these days. I LOVED my time there with her and the other students. She makes you feel so comfortable. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! Been here for adult and kids parties. The studio is bright and spacious. Top notch computerized Brother sewing machine for each students(sew easy to use). The owner’s(Precious Lopez) love of sewing is evident in the way she teaches. She teaches with passion and pride. You will learn the skill of sewing, not just patterns! I will definitely use this again for future girls night!

This is such a wonderful studio for beginners and experts to be taking classes at. Mrs. Precious is an excellent teacher and will make sure you are getting as much out of your sewing experience as you can. You will gain life long skills that you will apply to fun and stylish accessories and clothing that YOU make! I look forward to each of my classes and wouldn’t think of taking them somewhere else.

Mary Fons was amazing - thank you for bringing her to Virginia. It was a truly special day for me. Your shop is a hidden gem. Ill be back on Saturday to bring in my sewing machine for a check-up.

Took my girl scout troop here for a sewing class and it was FABULOUS! Precious was a wonderful teacher and the girls in my troop (ages 10/11) all loved the class as well as the bag we made. All of them are ready to come back again. I would highly recommend Ashburn Sewing to anyone who wants to learn to sew or improve their skills.

This shop has so much to offer. Wonderful selection of unique fabrics, classes for adults and children, sewing machine sales and repair. The staff is so helpful and friendly that I feel like I could just hang out there all day. If you have done it yet, i definitely recommend checking them out!

I attended the sewing boot camp class yesterday and it was fabulous. The new space is so nice and Precious and Amanda are excellent teachers. I definitely feel like I will be able to replicate the skills taught in the class at home. Im looking forward to attending more classes in the future!
