I had to bring in my Bernina 880 to have it serviced. Because I didnt purchase it at the Quilt Patch, I was charged extra fees to have my machine serviced. That was the BEST part of my experience; It went downhill from that point on. After Fred, the sewing machine "expert" repair-man worked on my machine, I brought it home. He told me that he had to work on my needle threader head to remove all of the lint I had allowed to build up. He was very rude! The first time that I went to use the automatic needle threader on my machine, 2 parts popped off (the threader head and wire). I brought my machine back to the quilt patch, very upset, and told them what happened. They denied that they had caused the parts to pop off, and said it was my fault. Fred put the threader head back on again, and I once again, took my machine home. The owner of the shop was very rude and cold to me when I picked my machine up for the second time. After spending $255 for "repairs" I tried to sew with my machine and the stitching looked horrible. The stitches were tight, and distorted the fabric as I sewed. So after spending money to service my machine, it has more problems than it originally had, and was treated rudely. I will NEVER go to this shop again. EVER!

Unless you actually own a Bernina or sew quilts, dont bother with this horrible place. I have a very old (so old the brand isnt made anymore) sewing machine I wanted cleaned up and they were very snobbish about it and told me to just get a new one. They took it, but held it for a month and a half, claimed a piece was broken on it, and again tried to sell me a Bernina. I had to pay 30 bucks to get my machine back. I took it over to a different repair shop, where the help was pleasant and informative. The owner took my machine apart right in front of me, tested everything and nothing was broken. I can only assume that The Quilt Patch is rude, condescending, and cares more about selling me a thousand dollar machine I cant afford than about providing me good service. Never again Quilt Patch, never again.

While they had a ton of fabric, it was incredibly cramped. This was a minor thing compared to their customer service. I have been all across the country and can count on one hand how many times I have been treated as poorly as I was when I visited this establishment. I was embarrassed to have brought my mother who was visiting me. The staff was incredibly rude, inconsiderate, and unfriendly. And this is even more so if you happen to have a child with you. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

Here visiting family and decided to check out a couple quilt shops in the area. Being very spoiled being surrounded by some very nice shops at home in Ann Arbor Michigan, I was very pleasantly surprised walking into the Quilt Patch. Especially after all the negative reviews. It was a very nice quaint shop with lots of character. The staff was very inviting and friendly. I would recommend anyone to go.

I had a great experience buying my sewing machine from this shop. The staff, especially Leslie and Nancy, were very friendly and helpful. I also took a 5-hour free class on how to use the sewing machine, which was excellent. Nancy is a really good instructor! The shop itself is great if you are a quilter, but it is definitely not for garment sewing, which they dont claim to be.

Quilting Snobs. Dont ask any questions unless its about a high end Bernina sewing machine, because thats all they will talk about. Dont expect any advice about sewing unless you are sewing a quilt. They have a wide assortment of expensive fabric, so if you are looking for a small amount to turn into 2 inch by 2 inch squares this may be the spot for you.

I took a Care and Feeding of your Bernina sewing machine maintenance class at The Quilt Patch and it was FABULOUS!! I learned a ton about my machine that I should have already known but didnt ;-) Fred, who taught the class, was patient, knowledgable, and a gem to have as a teacher! So glad I took this class! Kudos to The Quilt Patch for offering it!

Walked around the store several times before anyone spoke to me. This was my second trip to the store and got the same service the first time. They have a good selection and I will probably be back just because there arent many stores around.
