I am wanting to get into more biking and have been looking for a better bike on-line. I decided what I wanted and stopped in Lake Town bikes to make my final decision. They had to order the bike, which was not a problem, but they told me it would take five business days. I called after the fifth business day and the bike had not showed up yet, they said they would call me back right away but didnt. I called back on the ninth day and the bike had not showed up yet. They said it was still on the dock waiting to be shipped and they would overnight it. I called back on the 14th day and the bike had not been received as of yet. I decided to get my down payment back and purchase a bike elswhere at this point. I sure hope this isnt the norm on how this LBS does business because they lost me as a customer and just about everyone else I have talked to about this is amazed it has taken this long with a severe lack of communication. I realize this is not a high end bike and they probably wouldnt of made alot of $$ off of me on this purchase, but just getting into biking, this would be my first of many bikes along with accessories and services I would be worth for the years to come will be a loss to this company.

FINALLY got my mountain bike back on Monday, March 18th and it STILL wasnt ready.Dropped it off on Friday the 9th to get a brake line and a tune up. They said it would be ready by Tuesday. They called me Tuesday and said the part wouldnt be in until Friday (the part was coming from OGDEN, basically a few towns away). They called Friday and said they got the brake line but the boss took the brake bleeding kit out of town so they would do my bike first thing Monday. Called at eleven, they said it would be ready by 5 pm (which doesnt sound like first thing to me...). Got there at 4:30 and it was up on the rack. I asked why it wasnt done and he said they just got the part in today, although they told me Friday that it was there. He said the brake was done, but they hadnt done the tune up yet. I said dont bother, Ill take it somewhere else for the tune up. NOT going back and NOT recommending them to anyone.

I had the best experience at this shop ever. I was extremely frustrated with some of the other places I had tried. I feel like finding a good mechanic that isnt trying to rip you off is as hard for bikes as it is for cars. This place found the parts I needed, carried out the repair and had my bike back to me ahead of time. They discounted my labor charge because my parts ended up costing a little more than expected. The guy offered to help load up my bike and gave me all my old parts back too. In the end, I saved about $90 by driving a little out of my way for the repair. The total cost was about $110 just to give you an idea of how bad I was going to get ripped off at one of the other shops I visited. Plus, it was a pleasant experience. The guy was genuine and honest. I couldnt be more thrilled with my repair and wont go anywhere else in Salt Lake.

Fantastic experience. Shop was recommended to me by two friends. They were reasonably priced and professional. In fact, when I picked up my bike my rear derrail was broken. The shop owner was mortified and immediately offered to replace it. My bike is about 10 years old and has many miles on it so I said it was not a problem and that I would pay to replace it. He would not let me and wanted to take full responsibility. When I picked it up today and they had replaced it with a a grade up (dura ace). This shop wants to do the right thing. Highly recommend!!!!

My favorite bike repair shop, no question. Any time Ive gone somewhere else its just reinforced this opinion, so Ill just continue driving the extra few miles to get to this one. Turnaround time is best in the state, they can fix anything and take pride in their work, and the prices are very fair. Ive had them do everything from minor tune-ups to full drivetrain replacements, custom wheel building, etc. Whether I bring in my pride and joy all-mountain rig or an 8 year old cheapo hardtail, they go above and beyond to get it running and looking new.

I love how the staff is all friendly and willing to help you with your problems. They looked up smaller helmets for us, ordered them, and then made sure that we were satisfied. I also LOVE that they warranteed some of the work we had done and honored that work. GREAT shop!!!

Have had several repairs done here and buy tubes, other equipment from them as well. Had a tube pop, which may or may not have been my fault, and they replaced it for free. I will continue to buy my gear there and get repairs done there as well!

I had an outstanding experience here. Took my daughters bike in for an upgrade on the tires and although the told me it would be later in the day possibly the next day before I would get it back it was done in less than an hour.

These guys are great. Ive been riding for 35 years and this is one of the best shops Ive been to. For servicing, these guys are fair and honest. Could get a little more inventory though. Everything else is great.
