The go to shop in SLC for serious mountain bikers looking for great service, bikes, products, knowledge and demo/rentals. This is a high end shop with very competitive pricing. I say this as some shops think you should pay more over MSRP if they actually care about mountain biking or are a mtb specific shop. Ive had shock service done there, bought parts, received trail advice, bike build/wheel advice, demos and rentals. Great work, good prices and customer service. Why is Go Ride different? These guys live mountain biking and are active participants/sponsors in the race and riding scene throughout the Intermountain West. Many shops are split between road, commuting and other disciplines and you dont receive the same attention to fat tire riding. One note: I think this shop can be a little intimidating for the novice/beginner as many of the bikes, products, patrons and conversation had in this shop are relative to the very avid mountain biker. However, I would encourage anyone not yet super passionate or new to mountain biking to check this shop out. Let them know where you stand or want to be as I rider and I am sure they will be more than helpful in getting you on a bike or your ride running right.

I had been shopping for a hard tail for a month or so but with it being mid August, inventories are thin and being able to actually ride a bike before I buy was looking remote. I stopped by a competitor of Go Ride in Draper last night and the sales person was less than helpful. Essentially she said they had nothing in inventory and good luck. I asked her about another shop and she mentioned Go Ride down the street. The experience at Go Ride was completely different. The salesperson there welcomed me and we discussed what was available in my target specs and then showed me bikes above and below my target price range. ( smart! ) We concluded that he also had nothing in inventory but wrote down a description of the bike on a business card and said the one I was looking for was at the 21st and 21st location and to check it out. Dallas greeted me and we reviewed my needs and suggested a Norco Revolver. A test ride and a few small modifications and I walked out with a new bike! I got great service and a fair price on a sweet hardtail. Go Ride will be my first stop the next time I am in the market for a bike.

DO NOT shop there until they wizen up and replace what they have passing as staff. What a joke. It is such a nice store, and it has all the potential to make a difference to the biking community, and even dominate the valley. But the staff... Ridiculous. Seriously, who hired these guys? All attitude whenever you go in, and it makes you feel like not wanting to be there. If it was my store, I would have people who would actually know what customer service means working there instead of the current joke. A message to whoever is the owner. You are seriously loosing money, and I am trying to be nice about what I am writing here. Most people will just never go back, and not take the time to review your business.

Avoid. Ive taken my bike in twice to get it fixed and regretted it twice. The first time was for a Marz fork having problems, they said they sent it back for warranty. It took two months, when I got it back nothing was changed. I ended up calling Marz direct, sending it back myself and in the process found out they never sent it in in the first place (they track the serial number). I missed out on a lot of riding. The second incident was with a Chris King rear hub. It was out of adjustment, loose, but sticking. Supposedly they rebuilt it and replaced a part, but 10 miles later it is loose, but still sicking. If you want to be able to "go ride" dont take your bike to go-ride.

I went in to buy brake pads for my bike today, they didnt have resin pads and only had more expensive metal pads. I told the employee that I would just buy the pads online. The employee then put down the brake pads, and went to the back of the store. I asked if they had another part, and he said why dont you just buy it from the UK and wouldnt help me. I looked at prices before I went to Go-Ride and was prepared to spend $5 extra per pad, but its $30 cheaper for the set online. I try to shop local first whenever I can, but I dont like being treated like a jerk because I wont spend over double for parts. I wont be shopping at Go-Ride again.

Love this place! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff that is willing to help any level of rider. I remember going to this shop years ago and it was great. Been out of biking for years now and returned with my wife to get back into it. Was met with friendly faces who really looked to get us setup with what we needed, not just the most expensive setup. Got a lot of the punk kid "homie homie bro bro" response from just about every other shop in town but Go-Ride was very professional throughout our process of spending a small fortune on new bikes. Well worth the visit and we were treated great. Wont shop anywhere else.

The guys here, specifically the bearded Von Williams, have been exceptionally helpful in all my biking adventures, despite the fact that Im more of a roadie anyway. Theyve taught me how to custom build my own wheels, calculated spoke lengths, provided much insight into what quality of "stuff" I need, etc. They seem happy to search specialty items up for me on their fancy interweb-compatible computadoras. They are always friendly and professional, and I wont hesitate to come back for any other bike problems I [will surely] encounter. Thanks Go-Ride!

Went in looking for an entry-level (<$2000) MTB. "Pablo" probably spent an hour with me discussing options, pros and cons. No pressure. Came back a couple of days (after visiting several other shops) to purchase. Pablo probably spent another hour and a half going over the bike, adjusting, talking about potential upgrades for future (again, no pressure). Incredibly knowledgable and helpful. Also noted how many customers were greeted like old friends. Clearly the "go to" place in SLC for mountain bikes. Highly recommended, especially Pablo.

We are lucky to have one of the best bike shops in the country here in Salt Lake for anything from XC to DH riding. Most shops dont know much about DH bikes, but Go-Ride has the experts on staff to help you get the right bike and get it dialed in. Expert wheel builders too! They also have a great selection and are one of the few places you can actually go find body armor and DH bikes in stock - things that are hard to buy online because you cant try them on. Really friendly and helpful too.

I called the store went right into voice mail ... Never returned our call. Walked in to the store talked to the sales man that we had a Mongoose BMX bike ... He said he needed to see the bike .. In our way out he never followed its outside. Got the bike bring it in to the store and as soon as we walked in he said that they dont work in this type of bikes??? Why didnt he said that and saved us the time and effort and time to go out for the bike????????
