This stores management is the worst Ive ever seen. Of the HUNDREDS of dollars we spent over two days I was SPECIFICALLY told I could take a bed skirt home to see if it matched my bedding and return it later. I returned it TWO HOURS later -- still in its bag -- as it was the wrong shade of gray. The manager would NOT let me return it despite the fact 1) the store worker told me "of course you can" and 2) it had never been opened and was still wrapped perfectly in its bag. Rudely sticking to "company policy" instead of LISTENING and doing what is right by honoring what your employees have told customers is never a good long term business strategy. And having MULTIPLE untrained employees providing customers with inaccurate information is, simply put, costing you business. Today you lost three long term customers that have spent $1000s in your store - over $22. Rudeness and inability to problem solve will do that. Every time. A review of your customer service policy is in order and/or a review of the minimum qualifications for store management. Best of luck. Were all taking our business elsewhere. And if we must go to DownEast well be going to the Draper store - as those women are top notch professionals who know what theyre doing - and have been doing it well for years.

We purchased 6 dining room chairs on a blue tag sale, one of which was broken. We were promised by the salesperson (name on the receipt is PERKINS) that we would receive 10% off the total purchase price of the 5 unbroken chairs, this was for the sale on all dining room furniture on 11/23/16 and 20% off the broken item. When we were rung up we were overcharged by $58.77 on the original cost of the chairs and were not given the 10% off. Unfortunately, we didnt notice until two days later, but went back to the store and asked for a correction and refund of the overcharged amount. The manager (name on the receipt is BGOLDTHWAITE) offered to correct the overcharge but refused to honor the 10% that we were promised, with the reason being blue tag items are final price. We disputed and asked that they honor the discount quoted by their own sales associates; however, they again refused. 1 star for a product that we enjoy. 1 star for correcting the overcharge. -3 stars for terrible customer service.

We had a similar experience as someone else - we ordered a bed, was told it was going to be in the store in a couple of days, and after it didnt arrive we were told there had been an inventory mistake. And the person I talked to said that there were no refunds - that we could only put the money we had paid toward something else. When I talked with the manager (Ken?) he offered a refund and eventually gave us a small discount (in the form of a gift card, though) on a different bed that we were okay with, but it seems like everyone else there is pretty clueless. We might buy something else from there in the future, but I think its pretty sketchy to be selling stuff they dont even have. Also, its hard to get comfortable with their no warranty/no returns policy. Oh - on the clothing - do your research. The Anthropologie/Free People stuff they have is cheaper from the original stores if you shop the sales. And those stores back up their products and have great customer service.

Horrible customer service. A huge line of 5 people, and two checkout people. One checkout person (Gaby) is chatting on the phone (shes making calls to another store - yes, work-related, but it can wait until there is not a huge line!), and another checkout guy (ponytail guy - didnt catch his name) started ringing up a couple who then walked away for 10-15 minutes to continue shopping...and he refused to start a new transaction with any of us waiting in line. Everyone in line is getting super frustrated and talking amongst ourselves about how crappy the service is. If we werent getting a $400 chandelier for $130, we would leave -- definitely wont be back.

Lets start with Ive always liked their variety of furniture. I have purchased a couple of dozen items from this store before. Maybe their staff needs to get paid better to care to be friendly? I walked through this evening and the store maybe had 1 or 2 other customers walking. The 2 ladies at the front desk did little to check if I needed anything. I walked by their counter 3 times and they avoided saying anything or even looked away so as to not make eye contact with me. Will definitely think twice before coming in again.

My advice is dont order anything from these guys unless its in-stock at the store. We ordered a bench for our kitchen table in November 2013 for $150+. They said it was at another location and it would be transferred to Sandy in a couple weeks. After waiting a month they then told us the inventory count had been wrong and they didnt have the product anymore. Here we are in March almost 4 months later and still no product. If you want to have a horrible shopping expertise order from these guys.

I love the Sandy DownEast!!! This is by far the best DownEast Store I have ever been in!! No joke! Not only does the store look better than it has in years, but the staff is so incredibly friendly and helpful. They will go to any length within their power to accommodate their customers. Chelsea(store manager) and Gabby (assistant manager) are the ultimate management team. This store is what it is because of their great leadership!! I will never shop anywhere else for furniture!!!

Downeast customer service is amazing! Everyone is so friendly and willing to help the customers. They have great products and great sales that are always going on. It is a super welcoming atmosphere, and the employees are super friendly! Great place to buy furniture, accessories, or clothing! :)

Sometimes you really can find a great items here but its no longer the name brand outlet that it used to be. Most of what you will find is cheapo Chinese made furniture and sadly it doesnt hold up. They wont provide a warranty and arent responsive to help. The moral of the story, buyer beware.

The workers here are so kind and helpful! I felt like they really wanted to make sure I left happy and I didnt feel like they were just focused on selling! They really cared about what I wanted! I love coming to this store! The clothes are so modest and cute! I love love love it!!

A great place for unique finds. Downside is they seem to be carrying less and less. No more kids clothes and less kids furniture. Used to have great deals on pottery barn furniture.

Pretty crappy customer service at this location. No one is very helpful and there is hardly ever anyone in the store.
