From the street it is nothing amazing, but once inside you will have an experience that you wont find in to many places now days. You are greeted right off the bat by friendly smiles and cheerful staff. After you make it threw the welcoming comity, you turn a corner to find that the store seems to grow three times its size and is full from top to bottom of the latest and greatest gear. You can find items that are known by all gear junkies or the common price point stuff found every where else. The prices are right on with everybody else, and some are well blow others. However the service you will receive is impossible to put a price on. The staff from the cashiers and salesman, to the office staff and owner, they all seem to eat sleep and breath the outdoors. The answers you will get form them are always backed up with personal stories and experience with the gear. They are there to make sure i walk away with the gear that is right for me and dont try to just sale me the most expensive items they can. Customer satisfaction the most important to them. If you want a great shopping experience and to learn some new things, I suggest stopping in at Out N Back if for nothing more than to be better informed and prepared for an upcoming trip, they are happy to help in any way, size or form. We recently went "window shopping" at Out N Back after having spent disappointing hours at a big- name sports retailer looking at backpacks. Within minutes, the owner (though we didnt know it at the time) was regaling us with stories, reviews and instructions about every feature of every backpack. He was informative, helpful, funny, genuine and he was cautious to not be pushy. We didnt buy a pack, but we were determined to buy SOMETHING just as a gesture of loyalty and appreciation. We returned a few weeks later to buy a new filter for our water purifier. We arrived just moments before closing time, expecting to be hurried through a purchase: NOPE. Carlie looked at our filter and suggested a new one might not be needed and "heck" she said "the new ones are expensive!" She directed us to Zack who agreed that a replacement purchase might be premature. Just to make sure, however, he ran our filter with a store pump in the bathroom sink. It spit out like a charm. He told us how to care for the pump and how to know when to replace the filter (practically never). Once again, what could have been an expensive or agitated stop for us turned out to be informative, pleasant and . . . FREE. Chalk us up as your biggest fans and most loyal customers.

This is my favorite store on the planet! Great gear with a 30 day price guarantee, plus super knowledgeable staff that help you get the right gear to fit your situation (so you dont spend eternity looking at endless options online). They dont just point out the most expensive/top of the line gear that you might not really need; they show you just what you need to have fun and be comfortable. I first came 10 years ago as a newbie hiker; they gave me great advice and the gear was quality (I still have that same gear 10 years later, and I use it regularly--backpack, tent, and sleeping bag). Other gear I bought back then at discount stores quickly fell apart or was not very good, and I ultimately wound up buying the same gear over again at Out N Back. Out N Back is by far the best outdoor store in the area. I actually ended up renting a snowboard here that I didnt end up needing. I came in a week after I purchased the rental, and had no idea if they would even consider letting me get store credit and cancel my rental contract. It was no problem at all, and I ended up spending my store credit on climbing gear during an excellent sale they had at the end of the year! I ended up buying a few things I didnt need because I had way more money left over than I was expecting. Of course things can be expensive when youre doing it at a small local place like this, but they have amazing deals on quality gear often, and youre always bound to find awesome random deals if you come in frequently. The owner and employees are really professional, but also really laid back and down to earth. Definitely check it out.

Out n Back is INCREDIBLE!! There are so many good things to be said about this company! The staff is always friendly and knows what they are talking about. Literally 90% of the time I shop there I get something for free because they are so damn awesome. I bought a tent and they gave it to me for 50% off, water filter was 40$ off, sleeping pad and they gave me a free pillow. When I bought my backpack they gave me a free rain cover. I will always recommend people to shop there and I will always shop there. Even if I find something less expensive online I will go in because they always have great deals and sales on items! BEST OUTDOORS STORE IN UTAH COUNTY BY FAR!!!!!!!!! And no I am not paid to say that, that are literally that kick ass!!!!

OutNBack isnt like your average sporting goods store, where people are running around too busy to help you and where you feel like no one really cares about you because you are just another customer. I can tell that OutNBack really cares about its customers. They always say hello when you come in and they are always ready and willing to help you with whatever you need to find. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and if they dont have exactly what you are looking for they always find something just as great or let you know that they can order whatever you are looking for. OutNBack has high quality products and high quality staff/management. Go to OutNBack! It is Awesome!!!

This store is chock full of things my wallet cant handle but its also full of solid employees who can answer your questions and seem to be more interested in talking gear than seeing you as a potential sale. That has been my experience anyway. I felt like they were pretty sincere, they know their stuff, they have great gear and a lot more stuff in there than it looks like from the outside. I think the part I liked most was knowing that the guys answering my questions had used the gear and actually did the sports for the gear they were talking about which in my case was climbing and canyoneering. Overall i dig this shop, they are chill but know their gear.

Wow, Keith helped me out in a huge way! I brought in two pair of skis that needed bindings mounted, Id done them in the past, but not this style. He was straight with me and said because he didnt have the equipment to do it right (it was sort of an odd binding), he didnt feel good about giving it the old college try and sending me on my way with fingers crossed that I wasnt going to blow a binding or something worse. But he didnt send me packing, he made sure I was able to find a place to have them mounted and that the job would be done right. I was way impressed. I loved the "I dont know, but lets figure it out" attitude. He saved the day!
