Not the store you use to love. As you know Norm sold this place. Yes Van Wagenens was the greatest, well not really. Norm had really good prices. Norm was a pretty ornery guy. Well the current owner is pretty check out. He does not want to be there. He needs to put in more time. Gordon is a bad employee, this guy is a true liability to the business. he has to be some kind of family member there is no way this guy should have a job in customer service. wonder when he will cost this business dearly with one of his mistakes. all the other people that work there are pretty great. Prices are not that great. and that is why you went there. The people that ran the place after norm were pretty shady. Dave is awesome dude. knows his stuff very friendly. pretty much only purchased guns when he was there. There is a new younger guy that works the gun counter a lot and he is very nice and friendly.

Allen Adkins in the music department is the same guy from back when this place was Van Wagonens. He has been selling instruments, lights and audio equipment out of there since before 1988 cause that is when I first met him. He is super helpful and people know it so when you go in... dont be surprised if you have to wait. You might. That being said someone else will end up waiting for you when it is your turn. Prices are awesome!. I built the Edge Dance Club in the 90s in Provo and he totally outfitted us with lights then. Great place and great people.

I went in to this store and wanted to buy an AR-15 and they were all out. This is understandable because no one has these instock. But the man I talked to about it was just very rude when I asked him when his stock comes it or if I could pre order. then he told me it would be like $4000. So I left then a couple of months later I called to get .22LR ammo and they what to charge 60 bucks for a brick when Sportsmans is selling them for $21.95 and Gunniess is $25.00. NO THANKS I WILL NOT BE BACK ANYMORE.

Alan has been there over 20 years. He can help you with electronic and professional-quality audio needs. You can rent state of the art audio gear and have your own event or party. The gun guys can help with your hunting and defense needs. The previous owner (Norman) misses all the nice people: customers of all walks of life, inventory of all different kinds new and used. You should trade in items and get an even lower price on different things that you need. Thanks for still being there.

there is never a good reason to sell something or loan something to a pawn shop. this being said, i can honestly say that allen (not sure if i spelled that right) does his very best to listen and try to work out a deal that both parties can be satisfied with. my experience with this gentlemen has been consistently this way and henceforth, i call allen my pawn guy, and i will never stray, thank you my friend, as this is what i call you now.

I went in there to try and sell an amp. The sales clerk told me that he could give me a decent amount if I waited a moment so that he could finish up with another customer. I waited half an hour while he was shooting the breeze with his buddy that was the "customer". And after the wait, he told me that he could not take the amp. TL;DR I waited 30min to be told that he actually didnt want my amp.

If you are headed here to buy guns, you are in for a treat. Gun guy - looks like old saint nick - knows a TON about firearms and happy to share his knowledge. Owner is a nice guy too. Ive purchased I think three guns here and always happy with price and the service. If you are headed here to buy musical instruments - dont waste your time. Music guy is just demeaning and rude.

Alan Ashby is the most amazing sound and light guy you will ever meet. He will help you build the best audio systems possible. And at the best prices too. Dave Kayler is a great gun guy. He really knows his stuff.

Very unpleasant experience. The manager is very dishonest we called in and he gave us one price then we got there and he bumped up the price then verbally abused us and swore at us and kicked us out just for calling him out on the bait and switch. Go anywhere else. And Orem Rec is close and only $4. Also he was yelling at the other people on the lane.

Great People bad business sense. The web site shows a stocked store but was pretty barren inside. They offered an insanely low price for my fire arm. Needless to say I went to Triple A pawn in Provo and got almost 3x the offer on my fire arm. Dont think I or any of my associates will be back for business.

Have dealt with them for a long time now and done a half dozen or more transactions. They are friendly, helpful, and it is hard to beat their prices...very fair. Especially like dealing in guns with the Dave guy. Have not had a bad experience since the new people took over.

Bought a Mosin Nagant and AR15 from these guys. Great service and knowledge. Go see Heath or Glenn if youre looking for guns! Do remember it is a pawn shop so these guys dont mess around and are very straight forward. But they know their stuff and have reasonable prices!
