I have a 1yr & 7month old blue nose pitbull who is the sweetest most loving dog EVER! I signed him up for obedience classes to help with his leash pulling & excited jumping when we walked in the door. I picked Anna to be our instructor because supposively she was a "pitbull expert" and they looooved dogs of that bread, well as soon as we walked in the door they started attacking us with "Why isnt he neutered? Are you planning to neuter him? And this is why he should be neutered ect." there was this obnoxious dog that kept barking and growlin at all dogs but yet they decided to put a barrier around our dog and sat us on the other side of the room by ourselves. The ENTIRE hour session that we were there Anna NEVER ONCE came over to us to see how we were doin or anything. At the end of the session Anna came over to us and she had the nerve to tell us that the class was not for Kongo(our dog) because he "didnt listen".Everything we did that day Kongo already knows how to do. It was the basics; sitting, laying, giving you his paw ect. and i was tooken back by her saying that because she NEVER asked him to do anything. She started saying he needed private lessons and all this nonsence and then again she started with the neutering subject. I took it as THEY kicked Kongo out of the class for no reason. But by this point i was so irritated with them & there customer service that i didnt want nothing to do with them anymore. I called a few days later to take him out of that class and get a my refund back, after calling them a few times & leaving numerous messages they finally called me back and tried talking me into privated lessons. Michelle the old lady who helped us once said that my boyfriend didnt have any control of our dog and yada yada yada which i think is funny because Kongo wasnt doing anything. Anna had the nerve to tell me that the reason she didnt come over to help us the entire class is because she seen Michelle come over and help us so we should have tooken that as a private lesson. They just tried making up any excuse they could. Anna then proceeded to tell me "good luck on finding someone to train Kongo because she is the only "pitbull expert" in the whole state of Utah". Shes NO pitbull expert, she and this entire company is a joke! I wouldnt recommend Calling All Dogs Utah to anybody!!!!!!! (IF I WASNT REQUIRED TO AT LEAST PUT ONE STAR I WOULDNT OF!)

KUDOS TO CALLING ALL DOGS! After Thanksgiving, we adopted a boxer mix from a shelter and he had some socialization problems. I was a little nervous after reading the negative review but my vet strongly recommended them. I called, and in fact, mentioned the review and questioned Michelle about whether my dog would be a good fit in a class or if he would need one-on-one. She suggested that if Max was not friendly, classes would not be good (for the safety of other dogs and owners!), but after describing some of his behaviors, she told me she could come out and observe him and make some recommendations. She DID come out, and after a few hours of her positive reinforcement, I was amazed at how smart and easy to teach our dog is! She didn’t just fix the behavior, she showed me, my husband, and my kids how to continue to do the same. Max is assimilating into the family just as we’d hoped and in fact, with his improved conduct, is enrolled in the next CHARM school. We are thrilled. In response to the other review, I’d say that if he took all the classes, and they refunded his money anyway, he’s ahead of the game. You can’t use the services and expect to get them for free - even Judge Judy wouldn’t have given him his money back! Great work girls! ****UPDATE****: After having such a good experience with Calling all Dogs, I investigated the review by Jordan. If you click on the name ‘Jordan,’ you’ll see that he trashed every dog training business in the vicinity on January 1, 2011, except for ONE, each review telling a different story about different dogs he owns. It certainly appears to be malicious spamming… SOMETHING SMELLS like dog poop here!!

Outstanding Service and Staff!! When my husband and I decided to add a canine companion to our family I wanted to take every step possible to ensure that the transition would be as stress free as possible. During my research I kept hearing positive feedback about Calling All Dogs. So, I decided to give them a visit. During my first visit to the boutique I was greeted by a knowledgeable sales associate who discussed with me the importance of proper nutrition, using meal replacement toys for enrichment, and finding a trainer who uses only positive reinforcement. To say I was impressed would be an understatement. So when it came time for training we enrolled in C.H.A.R.M. (Changing Habits and Reinforcing Manners) school, a six week course with hour long classes. The class size was limited to six dogs which allowed for individual attention to each student from the trainer. During this course we worked on everything from responding when called to walking politely on leash. We were even fortunate enough to have several trainers participate in our class allowing for additional individual attention. We were given weekly handouts and homework that was enjoyable and reinforced what we learned in class. I feel that this class deepened my understanding as an owner and has strengthened the bond I have with my dog. The entire staff at Calling All Dogs is friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced. I enjoyed our class so much that immediately upon completion I enrolled us in the next class! If you are searching for trainers who are invested, kind, experienced, and focused you are looking for Calling All Dogs!

I had high hopes when I signed up for classes at Calling All Dogs but I ended up being disappointed. I wanted to put my dog in a small dog class but they didnt have one so I enrolled for a regular basic manners class. I thought Katie the trainer was pretty good but her assistant for the 1st class was not only unhelpful but actually told me not to do something that Katie later told me to do. My dog was smaller than the others and was progressing at a slower pace but I continued to attend until I had to miss a session due to having a surgical procedure. I called prior to the class and left a voice mail message requesting a callback to see about arranging for a make-up session. No one bothered to call me back. I called again and explained why Id missed a class and requested information about a make up class. I was told that Katie would call me back but that I should just attend the next class. I explained that I felt I was behind the rest of the class and was interested in some private sessions rather than completing the 6 classes. I was assured that I would be contacted but again no one bothered to call me back. I never had an opportunity to talk to Katie so it is possible that she never got the message but after making two phone calls and not receiving a return call I found their customer service appalling.
