Yesterday was the 4th or 5th time our dog has been taken to get groomed here. The first few times they did a good job, however last time the only thing my wife asked was that they cut around his face good since it gets long quicker and looks funny, however they barely even trimmed his face. We went back because we had issues with PetSmart loosing all of his papers before and leaving him complete for 2 hours before calling us to pick him up. Yesterday our dog went in at 10am for a cut that normally takes about 2 hours. At 2 pm my wife called to see what was going on, and they told her that he was done, but that they "just noticed they had cut him." The cut was about 1.5 inches long on his neck and required 15 stitches. On top of that they shaved him completely so he looks even more ridiculous. Then they had the audacity to charge my wife for the grooming, giving her 20% off for her "troubles. Yes, they paid his vet bill and reimbursed us for the grooming after I went in to get mad at them. Listen, I understand that mistakes happen and I imagine it can be difficult to cut dogs hair, however that is what they get paid to do. My issue with it is that they tried to play it off like they "didnt even notice it happened" and didnt notify us immediately. Like other people have said, they are not very prompt in anything they do... and apparently even less so if it is an emergency and they cut your dog. Be careful!

Poor customer service and poor business management. I called in at the beginning of the week to set an appointment for that week as we were going camping over the weekend. I didnt want my dog to get filled with burs and such so it was important for us to get him groomed and cut before going. They informed me they had one appointment available the day before we left at 9:00 am. I set it up, gave all my information about myself and my dog, I then verified the appointment, location, and hung up. When I arrived for my scheduled appointment I was informed that I didnt have an appointment and that they didnt have me scheduled anytime, even the next week. The groomer informed me that she was full and there was nothing she could do in a manner that suggested she didnt care about me or my dog. She then walked into the next room leaving me there with my dog speechless and totally screwed. I have never been dealt with so rudely and would not want to leave my dog in the care of someone who obviously doesnt care about how people are feeling or being treated. Plus the fact that they cant keep track of their appointments is also very frustrated and frightening. They made no offer to try and squeeze me in or set up another appointment in the future, they simple said "you are out of luck" and walked away. I would not suggest leaving your loved pets with these people.

Ive been going to Red Bandana since they open in the strip mall by Albertsons. The location has changed as have the owners, but its always been a nice local place with fair services and prices. Ive tried a lot of groomers in the area and they have some of the best and friendliest. No elitist crap on how your dog "should" be groomed (puppy cut on my Poodle vs a show cut some insisted on) and no excuses like "come get you wet dog, he was not cooperating" like Ive had with some other area groomers. Like anyplace, theyre not perfect, but youre unlikely to find a place that tries so hard to make thing right on the rare occasion something does not go your way. Theyve called me when theyre out of my pet food and an order comes in. They helped with finding a dog food for my allergy ridden Cocker, and theyve taken special care when grooming a pet with severe abandonment and kennel issues playing with him in the day area. If you havent tried Red Bandana, give em a shot. Theyre good people and you could do far worse.

A few months ago I drove around my town lookin for a place to get my dog groomed. I came across Red Bandana on Google and read the reviews. I was horrified at some of the stories people had paired of their PERSONAL experiences. Not just stories they had heard or read. These reviews were so frightening that I actually turned around a found a different groomer. Now, reading this horrible story of this poor dog that people are calling this place out for, I find it hard not to believe. Vicki (the owner) claims the dog pulled too hard on the leash, I find many flaws in this story. A 10 pound dog in no way would be able to pull itself so hard to the point of causing such extreme strangulation. The leashes are kept at the perfect length to give dogs room to move, but not enough to jump off the grooming table. All Im saying is that its uncommon to see so many bad reviews of the same thing happening and not have it be true. This breaks my heart.

I came in with my sister and fell in love with this place. We received great service in picking out a good dog food for my dog and we absolutely fell in love with the groomer! We were impressed at how she handled a very difficult customer in front of us who was being rude and kept changing her mind on what she wanted with her 3 dogs. The groomer was very professional and friendly. She kept a smile on her face and continued to make the changes that this girl was demanding. We got out of there quite late because of this, but was so impressed how well our shih tzu was groomed after all that this lady put her through! I want to give a shout-out to this groomer as she obviously loves what she does, and it shows in how she treats the dogs and customers. We love Red Bandana and will be shopping and bringing our dogs here from now on!

For all the people who are responding to a bad review without understanding what happened, the dog came in for its 1st grooming and was very nervous and hard to handle. In the resulting struggle the dog pulled( too hard )against the restraint causing damage to the eyes the groomer immediately called the vet,and the owner. We regret that this happened and that a mistake was made causing the dog to be hurt. We have hundreds of satisfied and loyal customers who can testify of the caring and patient service of our groomers. We have been in business for 6 years and have groomers with a combined experience of over 65years. We love our furry friends and would never mistreat them.

I have a medium sized Australian Cattle Dog, and we love taking her to the self serve dog wash. We can shampoo, dry and comb her without dealing with the mess at home. We take her there as well to usually get her nails and her booty hair trimmed, cause it gets a little long. The groomer was way too talkative and kept showing me pictures of her own dogs on her phone. My dogs booty hair was completely uneven when she was done. I want a groomer thats going to focus on my dog and what shes doing. Extremely unprofessional to be showing me pictures of her own dogs on her phone and to tell me so much about her own family life. Will probably not return for grooming services.
