I went today Tues. July 4th @ 5:35pm to DONATE some items for CCA, as I have done multiple times in the past. When I pulled up there was another vehicle in front of Me unloading some of there items for donation. There has been $1,000s of Dollars worth of items donated from Me and My family over the course of the 8+ years We have been in The Colony. Today I have reached a point to were I feel your core values and message has been diminished due to the fact that what I believe to be one of your employees confronting both of the vehicles there in a very demeaning and cynical manner . She yelled at us for "dumping illegally" , and then proceeded to video tape our cars and take photos of us and our vehicles, and threatened to report us if we were to proceed, without any explanation or letting us speak. The manner in which she conveyed this message was disturbing, being that I am a person of faith and I would hope to donate items that are in good conditioned to help out this community as opposed to just throwing them away. Given the fact that CCA solely relies on donations from the community ,Her approach was disrespectful and absolutely uncalled for. There was no need to confront any of us as if we were intentionally breaking the law. There are no signs posted in the rear of the donations area stating that they were not going to be open or accepting donations today. The only hours sign that was visibly posted is on the front door that reads very clearly Mon. – Sat. 10am-8pm with no indication of holiday hours. Lights were on in the building as I drove by afterwards. The garage door was closed, but lets face it sometimes people close doors when it is 90 Degrees outside in Texas. It does seem ironic that there is a now hiring sign posted on the front door, if this is how an employee is treating the people that are giving away items to be sold for free, how are the employees being treating that are getting paid. The lady was an African American in what appeared to be in Her late 40s driving a white BMW. I would like to continue to support the CCA please if this was an employee direct Her to learn ways on how to effectively communicate as opposed to representing your business in this way.

If you become a member (its free) you collect points and when you collect enough you get $5 off your next visit or when you hit your next 100 points. I always find good items here. Some still have original tags on them. Variety of purses-some coach, some vera bradley but these go fast, for like $25. Each item has a marked color on the price tag- Green, red, yellow, or pink. Each tuesday they have a discount on two colors. One will be half off the other 25% off. If you have an item you want and its marked with say green and green markings that week say 50% off, you get that item for half off . its great . And all this money goes back to supporting the community so you cant go wrong at this place.

Needs effective organization. And would be better for customers to be notified BEFORE dressing rooms are going to be CLOSED smh Drop off in back is so dirty and trashy with broken glass everywhere doesnt appeal to people wanting to donate. See employees constantly taking shopping carts full of merchandise to their personal vehicles...paid for who knows????? Pricing needs to be consistent with merchandise.

Its a thrift shop through and through. Its dingy inside and smells of old, unwashed clothes. But the selection of stuff is great with cant-beat prices. Of course, theres very little done to make sure items are marked correctly, so you have to cautious at what youre picking or for stains and such, but theres absolutely nothing wrong this place once you get past the smells.

This is the best resale store in the Lewisville, Carrollton Denton area. Friendly and helpful staff always have a smile on their face and never fail to greet you when you come in the door. They go out of their way to help with pricing and location of items. Which are of good quality and large selection. Add reasonable prices and The Colony C. C. A. Resale is #1!!

Its a resale store.. Cant expect too much, but I do wish they had better staff. I understand the volunteers doing community service you cant expect much from, but I havent always had the best experience with the staff here in the 10+ years Ive been coming here. All in all if youre in the market for used stuff this is a good stop to check.

Came here to drop off and purchase. The lady at the front told me I could go through the store to drop off an then the guy in the back gave me a hard time for walking up. But he was very nice and took my donations quickly. The organization could be better but leaving the store and paying a total of $3.00 is so hard to beat.

This is one of my favorite thrift shops. It is very clean & well organized, & they have great weekly discount specials. The back wall features $0.99 clothing for men, women, & kids. They also have a fantastic furniture department where you can get great quality used furniture at a VERY low price.

The young lady checking me out was not very engaging but not rude either. The store itself was neat organized and very inviting.Cloths were very nice and there was variety. I love that! One of the finest resales shops Ive ever visited. I will be returning.

Good sized thrift shop focused mainly on clothes. Clean and organized well enough. My focus at thrift shops is electronics like vintage stereos and video games, and I havent had any luck here with that kind of thing. Great prices overall.

Not cheap at all. Not even a thrift store. I think the cheapest dress was 10$ and the cheapest shirt was 5. Store was fairly organized. Staff was unhelpful when trying to find things, like the price.

Limited furniture, but I would have purchased 2 end tables if the checkout line hadnt been so long. There were more than 20 people in line and it seemed to be a very slow manual process.

The items I wanted were over priced. It was also VERY HOT in there. My kids and I felt fine when we entered, but had headaches and felt bad when we left.

Pretty big resale store. If it gets even remotely close to closing time, the kind of act like they wish you werent there and basically tell you to "get out."

This is better than your typical thrift store. They have much more than clothes and furniture. I come here for quirky decor or unique things.
