I am finally retiring from my full time job of buying brand new tires every time we bring our SUV in for a "free" tire rotation. Our 2007 Santa Fe has worn down its tires on the inside (never the outside) leaving us with bad tires every 6-9 months. Weve never enjoyed more than 15000 miles on a set of their tires. Today (not to be confused with the previous 5 times weve been there for a simple tire rotation and left buying 2 or 4 new tires) were told our tires are bad (bought them new from the same discount tire 9 months ago) and we need 2 new front tires at $350. Why? Our car is out of alignment which causes the tires to wear faster on the inside. This has happened for years, we only take our car to this discount tire (I know, I should have figured this out sooner), and they decide its information we might need to know today instead of 4 sets of tires ago... I have 4 cars running on 16 tires. Ive used discount tire exclusively for years...no more. We went ACROSS THE PARKING LOT to NTB for a tire rotation. They never mentioned the condition of our front tires. We showed them exactly what discount showed us 20 minutes earlier and asked if these tires are bad or need to be replaced. He took a close look and said "no, why would you think they need to be replaced?" Without saying anything else he mentioned "they are wearing unevenly and your car would benefit from a front wheel alignment". Wow... 8 min into our visit he suggested a) our tires are fine and b) the fronts need to be aligned. In 7 years with discount weve bought waaay too many tires and they never once mentioned an alignment could slow the onslaught of unnecessary tire purchases. We will NEVER return to discount tire, period. I hope the good humans out there have a better experience than weve had or get out soon and find a reputable place to buy tires every 3-4 years instead of every 6-9 months.

I had my tires installed here after purchasing them up in IL while I was there for Black Friday and theyve driven great so far. I took my car in this morning because I noticed a couple screws in them that needed patching. Not only was the service quick, but they helped me out big time when a plastic pipe leading to my intake manifold literally exploded. After driving around in both IL winters and TX summers, my 2001 Mustang has been through a lot of temperature changes. Apparently that doesnt do great things for that particular piece of plastic piping and my whole intake manifold needs to be replaced (Oh I know its a poor design, thanks Ford). The guys at Discount Tire were kind enough to pick up the charges for towing my car to one of the best mechanics in the area (Brakes Plus at Preston/Vineyard). I was kind of hesitant since Im not fond of mechanics I dont know, but my favorite mechanics at LD Automotive dont work Saturday/Sunday and Fourth of July has everything closed on Monday so I was kind of out of options. However, the manager let me know that he has the same trust issues with mechanics and that these guys literally rebuilt his engine at one point. That eased my mind a bit. As Im typing this, theyre working away at my car and will have a same day fix! tldr Discount Tire people are super helpful and will get you the hookups you need in case the pipe into your intake manifold randomly explodes on their lot

Shame on you! There was a day when Discount Tire was the vision of good for customer service. Customer in front of me... told to hang on by employee while he answers phone...must be someone he knows and I suspect company big wig by the laughing and bragging about being there 6 days a week. Finally, next...he needs tire rotation, it will be 2 hours...so busy with 16 other cars in front of him. BTW...bought service as part of his tire package. My turn...but wait! Guy from repair are comes up...broken wheel well. Maam, Ill be right back...both walk off to service area. Customer in next line just bought set of tires (ironically for his wifes car, prematurely due to not rotating ...Hmmmm you know how women are chuckle chuckle...I wonder maybe she didnt have 2 hours to wait??). Itll take about 45 minutes. Me...I step over while docs are printing and ask, how long to get tire fixed? Thatll be an hour and 45 minutes.... My opinion....not vision of good and I would never buy my tires or service there

Super busy, be it ten am or 2 pm, on a Tuesday even. I had to wait in line 20+ min to buy a wheel. my car was at another auto shop, so I was just purchasing. They only had one rim suitable for my car, tried to give me regular lug nuts because they couldnt find the after market ones needed for the wheel. My auto repair shop asked where the lug nuts with the key were, as thats designed for my wheel. the hand twist were not reliable. I had to go back to discount tire where the mgr said I should have been given the after market lug nuts. It took them over an hour to find them and install the wheel. Nope my fave place, but the only place to buy a rim or wheel near the colony. They did install the tire for free since my tires were under warranty and going to do for free. Idk weekend a good time to go, prepare a couple hours of your day.

First time at discount tire and I will Never go back !!!! Very disappointed, very bad customer service, they are not honest people .. I bought 2 tires 2 months ago and one of them got an air bubble on sidewall, went back 2 weeks ago and they order a tire for me, the guy told me it should be here in 3 to 6 business days, however never heard back from them. I went back after 15 days and the guy said theres nothing ordered, but when they find the same tire they want to charge me $89.00 for the tire to replace it and that should be cover under the warranty. It has 50.000 miles warranty and main still have 38.000 miles. In fact the manger was trying to sell me 4 tires then he said you need a new front tires, I just walked out because they are not worth it. Take an advice and go to Sams or Costco and see how you will be treated.

I have had repeated problems with Discount Tire in The Colony damaging wheels on 3 different vehicles and 4 sets of wheels. Either they damage the face of the wheel remounting them using the impact drivers or they damage the lip of the wheel when mounting the tires. They also use screwdrivers to scrape off the old wheel weights, which is awesome for aftermarket painted wheels. They are always willing to repair them quickly but not so much concerned with preventing damages in the first place. As customer for over 15 years, recently their quality has gotten really bad. I have also witnessed many other customers having the same problems while waiting in the lobby. If you dont care about your wheels take it to them, otherwise go elsewhere.

Sadly disappointed, I was hoping the reviews were wrong and wanted to support my local DTS. I made an appointment this morning first thing for 12:15 pm. I picked out the tires online and came in and paid. They even told me Id be out of there in 45 minutes. I made the mistake of going next door for lunch because when I came back, my car was still sitting in the same spot. I inquired as to why my appointment time wasnt honored and found out I was in the queue. I question why they even bother with making appointments if you are just going in the arrival time queue anyway?!??!? They finally took my car back at 1:00 but considering this place is not that busy today, unacceptable! The people working there however were very nice.
