Weve been taking our Standard Poodle to be groomed here for quite some time. He has a lot of hair and is generally groomed for around $90. Our normal groomer left and a new groomer took care of him last time. Apparently, Petsmart has a policy which had never been enforced previously, that states if the groomer spends extra time brushing the dog, they add an additional fee. We were not notified of the additional fee prior to the dog being completed, this time they charged $197.00 to groom our dog. Whats worse, he came back only partially brushed and still damp in some areas which caused matting. His ears werent cleaned out at all which is very problematic dogs with floppy ears because it can cause ear infections. The manager let us know that the extra fee should have been communicated but did not offer any assistance other than calling other Petsmart salons to see if they would have someone that was willing to groom our dog. We always had very positive experiences, the dog is very well trained and tolerates grooming without issue. If the groomer was inexperienced or concerned about their ability to groom my dog that should have been fully communicated. I am astonished at the managers response and extremely displeased with the state of my dog post-groom.

I have been to other petsmart pet hotels in different DFW locations. This is by far is the worst. I went in the morning on my way to work and found no one at the counter. Then 2 min later, the same employee that was smoking at the entrance of petsmart all if a sudden shows up smelling like smoke stench. My dog was on a leash and a bit hyper, smelling the scent of other dogs. It was very hard to hold the leash and do paperwork at the same time. No one was there to take him from me. Finally was done and they took him. Upon my return in the evening, my dog smelt really bad, he looked so disheveled. I never got a report on what he ate or when and if he did his business. I asked but the lady at the front did not know and it seemed like they would have to ask around before I got an answer. plus , she had to deal with the next customer. I have always gotten a report card at other locations. They are Very unprofessional at this location and your dog will look worse then when he came in and stink really bad!! Also the grass in the parking lot is full of dog poop. Dont see that at other locations. Looks like Theres a lot of lazy staff here!

We have used this Southlake location to groom our standard poodle for over two years, generally with no issues. Today however I took our dog in to be groomed and found the person checking the dog in seemed to be having a bad morning. I say this because she never smiled and just seemed to be in a bad mood. I could only hope it wasnt going to be her grooming our dog. If you dont like your job why dont you quit! Dont bring your issues to work and take it out on the animals! It wasnt too long after delivering the dog thar I received a call saying they were going to have to shave his ears. I said no! Ive then went up there and found this same negative lady in control of the grooming of our dog. I asked and saw the brush and comb she attempted to use on his hair and knew immediately that it would not work on his hair type. I then realized the only problem was the tool she was using and her bad attitude. I relieved her of her burden and asked to see a manager. Much to my dismay she claimed to be the manager. We are now forced to search for a new groomer. Ugh!!!!

I took our cat there for the first time today. My appointment last week was canceled on last minute. Today we arrived on time but the groomer was on break. 25 minutes later when she showed up, she told me about the limitations what she can do with the hair and I quite frankly was disappointed that I had to get all the way there to find it out. 20 min later I called to check how our cat was doing and I was told to head back to pick him up as he was not liking it. When I got there they told me that cat sometimes hear and smell dogs and they dont like it. Well, why do they accept cats if they dont have an environment to work on them? Our cat was shocked and so was my daughter. Really unhappy with this place and would not recommend it at all.

I have a petsmart close to me but Ill drive the extra miles to go to the petsmart in Southlake. The staff is extremely helpful and they go above and beyond to make sure their customers leave happy with their purchases. One associate, Kelly, really helped me out with the essentials Ill need for my new puppy. She asked questions so she could better help me, she gave advice based on her personal experiences, and I can tell she really asked herself "whats missing?" when helping me with my purchases so I didnt get home and realize I had forgotten something. Every time Ive gone there, they have been extremely friendly and welcoming and thats the type of atmosphere and people who will keep me going back.

I totally ADORE the Banfeild staff here. I have a diabetic cat and elderly dog and w visit often...BUT I warn you away from the groomers! This Lucia, did a horrible job (forgivable) but actually INJURED my dog, scraping her with the clippers in several places, and hurting her toe after I specifically asked them NOT to do nails, ears, or teeth because she is under med care for those (forgivable?) Bir tmr fact that the entire staff of the salon knew my dog was hurt and helped cover it up NOT FORGIVABLE!! They even expected me to pay full price for a half-incomplete job and wounded pet!! This included the grooming manager! Store manager is great however.

I boarded my dog and also used their day camp for the first time this last weekend and I have to say my experience was wonderful. The team was helpful, friendly and took very good care of my pup. I even called a few times to check on her and they had a full report on how she was doing, behaving and if there had been any issues. She usually greets me stressed and anxious after having been away from me for a few days and I experienced just the opposite. She was excited to see me but not overly so and was so happy to be handled by the staff. So I know she was treated well. I would definitely recommend them!

I brought a stray kitten into this location that I had just found moments before. I talked to a lady at the Bansfield counter and mentioned I wasnt sure how old the kitten was or if he needed bottle fed. She took him back to the vet and looked over him. They then suggested the best food options for his age. As I was looking at the food another employee offered to grab an "Adoption kit" booklet for me for free. That is how you take care of a customer. They were all very helpful. I wish I had their names to put in a good word with higher ups.
