Spent about 15 minutes perusing their season end clearance out front. Really great prices! Not very organized, which was fine with me. I was shopping with my husband and a friend, and we were in a hurry. My friend and I both got a few pieces from the clearance. One of my shirts rang up for $41, and two of my friends rang up for much higher as well. We explained to the cashier where we got it (the assistant outside had explained that the price was based on the price at the top of sales rack), and he called another employee, who said the price was what rang up. They wouldnt budge on any of the prices, all of which were supposed to be $4-$10. They said that things werent where they were supposed to be, although it was 8:30 am and the store had just opened. Very frustrating, poor customer service, and wasted time trying to figure this all out. The things that were on clearance were good prices, and we did buy some of the "actual" clearance items.

Went to this Academy and was browsing the shoe section with my daughter. She was helping me to find the shoe I was looking for (because they have poor organizational skills) and size. An associate stopped after about 15 minutes of searching and muttered "Jesus Christ" as my daughter, who is 10 by the way, was searching the bottom row. He then crouched down next to her and said "I will fix it", insert sarcasm. Never a word to me or a phrase such as "Can i help you find something?" When I, the mother of the 10 year old, confronted him about his lack of customer service skills, he turned and looked at me and said "What? I just got done organizing these"....do yourselves a favor, choose a different Academy, that has better customer service.

Came here for some Black Friday shopping. If anything can tell you how a retail stores staff handles customer service, its Black Friday. I had a very specific set of things I wanted to buy, and each and every staff member I interacted with was courteous, polite, and genuinely helpful. The store is very clean and well laid out, and subsequent visits have only continued to reinforce initial impressions. Docking a star for, (for lack of a better term,) uneven inventory selection. They always seem to have certain items in stock, limited selection in others. Maybe its just that I have less-than-mainstream sporting needs, maybe I didnt look hard enough.

Good academy, absolutely worst staff I have ever seen. Bought a gun out of the gun section obviously. The first person that helped did a good job. After that he past it on to the manager and the manager acted very narcissistic and treated me like crap he acted like he was the only person in Texas that could operate a gun. Then he had another guy check out the gun and he acted like he knew guns but was telling people completely wrong information. Just overall go to another academy.

Bad service at the shoe department, had to find someone to help me and when I did, I walked up to ask if I could get help the gentlemen wasnt friendly and answered back "What do you need? I showed him a picture on my phone of the Shoe I wanted to look at and he just pointed to a location and said they are over there. No Smile, Annoyed, Not Willing To Help VERY, VERY POOR SERVICE, and the SHOE DEPARTMENT Very MESSY and out of order

I tried to return a canopy & the customer service lady provided horrible customer service I was lied to & told I cannot see what is on order for the next shipment was refused credit to my credit card after I have the receipt they are still operating with 19 eightys technology and refuse to give credit even know you have proof of purchase someone should sue them for failure to honor their return policy .

i called 7 Academy stores in the austin area looking for a Fantasy Draft board... everyone would just tell me no and to check back in a few days. Luis was the only associate who actually looked in the system on when i could expect them to be in. He was very nice. and even though i will not be getting one he did go above and beyond to help me.

I just bought a pair of costas about 15 mins ago and Im so happy with the service I received! James is the salesman that helped me and he was very friendly, informative, helpful and was very patient to make sure I found the perfect fit. I will returning to this location again in the future.

great selection but getting to be more expensive than cabelas...it use to be the other way around but its fishing gear is awesome! most of the people in the gun area is knowlegeable but there are a few that need to educate themselves alittle more

Have tried this location many times and have come to expect that most common fishing hooks, weights, lines, baits are typically out of stock. They offer to shop for free, but dont stop in if you need anything to go fishing that day.
