My husband purchased a vehicle in February from Philip. Right away we noticed that the transmission was "slipping" gears, so Philip suggested that he would get the transmission REBUILT, and would have it ready in 3 days. It took FOUR weeks to get the vehicle, Philip was constantly telling us "The truck was still in the shop," & also how "I went to check out the truck but when I drove it, it was still not working, so I had to leave it." After we were given the truck, we tried to work out a discount because we had to wait SOOO long, but Philip said he had put too much $$$ into the truck to get it rebuilt, and how we had a year warranty on it & how NOTHING else is wrong with it. FINE, right. Once we finally got the truck, we instantly heard something so we took it to a muffler shop, the mufflers were literally HANGING, and were being held up with some cheap wire, we had to get the exhaust system completely re-done. Now TWO months later, the "rebuilt" transmission goes out, we call Philip to inquire about the warranty, #1 Philip doesnt answer his phone/respond to text messages #2 Philip tells us that he cant get into contact with the mechanic. So we take it to a transmission shop, to get a quote, they let us know this transmission is NOT a REBUILT transmission, that this transmission looks like someone did a "patch-job" just to get it out the door. We call Philip to tell him, we let him know that to get it fixed is going to cost us $1300.00, and that he should help us since he sold a vehicle under false pretenses, he then relays to us that he is not going to honor the warranty and how he is NOT going to help us. We ended up fixing the transmission, only to find out the transfer box (4x4) is going out, so we need another $1200 to fix it! I have never had as many problems working with a dealership like the way we encountered at this location, DO NOT BUY a vehicle from them!

Car King? More like Car Jester - because THIS place is an absolute JOKE! If you want to buy a vehicle that has a ton of mechanical issues, then buy all means waste your money by buying from here! I purchased a vehicle from the owner, Philip, (not even 6 months ago) with a verbal assurance that this vehicle had NO MECHANICAL ISSUES and that it was ready to make a trip to Fort Worth for my special needs daughters doctor appointments. Not even 30 min after driving off the lot (I paid CASH for this heap!) the battery was dead and my daughter & I were stranded! 4 weeks after buying I had to spend $1,000, that I didnt even have, to fix numerous major issues. Every month after that, something else has either broken (like the passenger door that no longer opens!) or needed to be replaced (battery, alternator, brakes, windshield wipers - to name the most recent). As a woman, I feel that I was taken advantage of and as the mother of a disabled child, I feel that Car King put my childs life at risk by selling me a lemon under false pretenses! The employee and owner BOTH lied about the vehicle straight to my face and show absolutely no remorse for their actions, nor did they attempt to assist me in fixing all the issues the car had. And lets not forget that it took MONTHS to get my plates because the owner only comes in when theres a buyer on the hook and that not even 6 months after my regrettable purchase, I STILL DO NOT HAVE A SIGNED CAR TITLE! PS. Car King, you can block me from Facebook and delete my reviews, but I will continue to post my experiences anywhere I can to STOP you from scamming others!

Phillip and Matt were very helpfull in my selection. Phillip made the car buying so simple and easy. Soon as i bought it i left town for 500 mile round trip. Truck drove great no issues. Philip and Matt made sure i was completly satisfied with the truck and deal. Check these guys out if you need a used vehicle they are great guys. TM

I am very pleased with my experience at Car King, they got me into a solid reliable used Honda Civic LX. It runs great, cold a/c, good brakes, I have no complaints.
