On Friday, 7-17-2015, we bought a used 2007 Ford F-150 for our teenage son from the Selma Gunn Chevrolet dealership. Our salesman was Fred Sanchez. When sitting down to do the paperwork, it was disclosed that the vehicle was completely "As Is". Originally, while on the test drive, Mr. Sanchez told us that there was a 90 day warrantee on all used vehicles. However, once we committed to the vehicle, and Mr. Sanchez told us there was no warrantee, I inquired about what was stated while on the text drive and he informed us that since the vehicle was older, that there was no warrantee. He did state that if within the first few days of driving the vehicle, if there was a problem to bring it back and they would make things right. Well, our son drove the truck for 2 days. On day 3 (7-21-15), as he was driving to work, the ABS light came on and the brakes became squishy. I called Mr. Sanchez, who was on his way out of town, and assured me that the vehicle would be taken care of, and to just get it to the dealer as soon as we could and talk to Ron Blankenship and/or Don (didnt get his last name, but he was the used sales manager) and they would take care of us. That evening, my husband arrived at the dealership ahead of my son, who was bringing the truck. He promptly found Mr. Blankenship where he was told that they would not take care of the vehicle, as Mr. Sanchez had promised. My husband was very upset, as he should be. This is the safety of our son that we are talking about. Mr. Blankenship proceeded to bring out the manager, Don, who spoke to my husband in a VERY condescending way, including the comments, "Apparently, you dont know what as is is, do you?". He also stated that as far as he is concerned "as is" means that if the truck breaks in 2 as soon as you drive it off the lot, then you just bought 2 pieces of a truck!!! Who talks to a customer like that? I thought by going to a big reputable dealership, like Gunn, we would safe in believing that not only would we be getting a reliable SAFE vehicle for our son to drive, but that they would stand behind their word. We opted to not buy from a smaller lot, specifically for this reason. At this point, more than likely, the problem with the truck, is the master cylinder. It would cost Gunn less than a couple of hundred bucks to fix. Is it really worth it to Gunn to have their name drug through the mud, not only here but on social media for a couple of hundred bucks? We would totally understand the "as is", if it had been a longer time period or if we were never told that if we had a problem shortly after buying the vehicle, it would get take care of. But, the fact is, we were told not only at the time of purchase, but after it happened to bring it in and it would get taken care of. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with our experience at Gunn. I know that we didnt buy a very expensive vehicle this time, but the next time we are shopping for our next NEW vehicle, I can guarantee that it wont be at Gunn Chevrolet.

Im 49 years old and I have bought many cars and trucks over the years both new and used. But never have I had a car buying experience as this one. Absolutely stress free. I just dont understand why everyone doesnt treat their customers this way?? I called them regarding a vehicle that I found on the internet. It was a new listing and they didnt have pics posted yet or much information. So I made an appointment with Dylan to come check it out. When I got there a sales person greeted me and asked if he could help. I told him I was there to see Dylan about a used vehicle. He directed me to an area where I could sit down and asked if I would like anything to drink. He said Ill go and get Dylan. He returned within about 30 seconds with Dylan. Since I had called and made an appointment he knew why I was there. So we then went to see the vehicle. Now it did help, mind you, that the vehicle was just what I wanted and had all the features that I wanted and also had low mileage. I had been shopping/doing research for about 2 months in advance so I knew what I wanted and what I thought was a fair price. My expectations were met and more. Gunns one simple price was lower than several competitors vehicles that werent as nice and had less features. We (my wife and I) had a deal on the table just the day before we came to Gunn Chevrolet but there were some issues with the vehicle that I thought I could live with. But when it came down to doing the deal we walked away. It is a good thing we did because when I got home the listing for this car had just been posted. The whole process of dealing with Gunn was exceptional! There was never a feeling of someone pushing us or even coming on too strong. Everything was very relaxed. We told Dylan what we could do for a monthly payment and he kept us well within that limit. Not only that the finance person was able to find us a lender that was almost half the APR that we had been quoted just the day before! At this point youre probably thinking that this seems like a made up story or that someone from Gunn is writing this. Well I tell ya, its absolutely true and it gets better. Everyone knows what a hassle taking your car in to get serviced can be. Well when I got home after buying this car from Gunn I noticed that the rear lift gate wouldnt stay open so I called Dylan right away. Now I dont know about you, but its been my experience that after a car salesman sells you a car he wants nothing more to do with you. Not so in this case. Dylan was very attentive to the situation and made arrangements to get it taken care of. I cant say enough about it, the whole process was amazing! I will definitely be sending my friends and relatives to Gunn. If you are reading this and wondering weather you should go there or not, Im telling you should definitely go to Gunn! Get treated like you would treat you if you were in the car business!! Nough said....GO...NOW!!!! Glenn (NW San Antonio)

I just wanted to let you know how great Sergio Castilla treat my wife and I. We were shopping around for my new truck and went to a different dealership in San Antonio. I had made an appointment with the salesperson at the different dealership and when we arrived I told him what I wanted. A 1500 Silverado, Crew Cab, V8 in Deep Ruby Metallic. I also told the salesperson that we had the financing already taken care of. He asked me if I wanted to see a V6 and I told him no that I wanted a V8. He asked me if I wanted to check out a V6 and I replied no. He tells me o.k. let me go get a set of keys to show you a truck. He returns and brings around a truck. I end up driving the truck and he tells me how do I like the truck and then tells me that I am driving a V6. I told him that I wanted a V8 and he tells me "some people want what they cant afford" I kept my cool. A few minutes later as we are driving back to the dealership my wife asked him how much of a price difference would leather seats be? His reply. "Leather seats are on peoples wish list because they wish they can afford them" We get back to the dealer and I asked him the price on an LTZ compared to an LT. He then tells me that sometimes "people ask for something they cant afford" I asked him if he had what I was looking for in a V8 and he tells me no. I tell him thank you for your time and then he asks me to give him a few minutes. He comes back and tells us he does have a V8 which I already knew because I had the print outs from their website and they had 3 V8 trucks on the lot. He brought the truck around so that we can see it. I thank him for his time and we left. I contacted Sergio and told him we were running late for our appointment but that we would be there. When we arrived Sergio was contacted and he came over and introduced himself. From the minute we met him my wife and I felt very comfortable with him. The first thing I did was tell him exactly what I was looking for and that the financing was arranged and I that I wanted to look at a particular truck he had on the lot which was what I looking for. He said no problem. Went to get the keys and we took it for a drive. I drove the truck back to the dealership and he answered our questions and then I told him that my wife and I were going to have dinner and that I would be in contact with him and he said o.k. I returned about 2 hours later to secure the purchase of the truck. Sergio treated us with RESPECT, was very polite, knowledgeable, friendly and his overall attitude was awesome and because of that we felt comfortable buying our new truck from Gunn Chevrolet. I will recommend Sergio to all my friends looking for a new vehicle. Thank you Sergio for the excellent service you provided to my wife and I but most importantly thank you for the RESPECT that you gave us. Your new customer, Tomas
