Let me start of explaining that this review is not a reflection of Greg Campbell my sales person. He is an excellent guy and find to deal with. Let me also state that prior to everything you are about to read, I was a huge fan of Caliente. I have bought two bikes from Caliente Harley-Davidson. I have bought merchandise and even sent my 16 year old son to the riding academy. My 22 year son has also purchased a bike from this dealership. I brought my 2008 Sportster for its 5000k mile check up. They tell me that the throttle cable adjuster is frozen and must be replaced. No big deal. The make the repair and we pick up my bike. The problem is, my 16 year old Son and I ride 40 miles to his mothers and the hand break assembly almost comes off. I make a complaint and they want to "make this right". I have to ride 40 miles pick up my Son and bike and ride 40 miles to the dealership so that they can do a torque inspection. They do so and all is "good", I guess. Keep in mind this dangerous condition that I received my bike in is just the straw that broke the camels back. First, I have taken the same bike in three times because the speedometer keeps dropping randomly to 0mph for a mile or two and then comes back on. Each time they say they cant "replicate" the issue. They tell me to keep and eye on it and bring it back. Looks like Im going to Cowboys Harley Davidson. Second, my 2014 Heritage Softail just started with an issue in which randomly she has to be in neutral to start. On top of that, randomly on the road, including the highway, when I engage the clutch the bike just powers down. I have to either come to a stop or try and kick her into neutral at 50-60 mph to start her back up. This happened three times right after they claim that guess what "they cant replicate the issue". My 15k mile check up is coming up. Looks like Im going to Cowboys Harley Davidson. Third, I took my 14 year old daughter in last week to buy a 225.00 helmet. When I asked one of the service girls for help to fit my daughter, the girl explained to me that my daughter "looks" like a ladys large or a mans medium, explained to me that different manufacturers have different sizes and them asked me if there was anything else she could do? Keep in mind the helmet never came off the rack. We left without a helmet. Looks like she and I will be going to Cowboys Harley Davidson. I have left positive reviews for Caliente on a few occasions, but they have truly earned this review and I am writing this review while I am at Cowboys Harley Davidson having my bike checked out.

All Harley twin cams engines are a flawed designed. Flywheel assembly, is only pressed together with 400 ton press, no crank pin bolt to hold two halves together, crankshaft will twist out of true, have to disassembly entire engine and take it to a specialty shop to true and weld two halves together. Engine runs hot, heat kills engine life, rear cylinder is automatically shut down at idle, runs on one cylinder, have to have heat shield on rear cylinder to prevent possibility of 2nd or 3rd degree burns and/or pants catching on fire! The silent chain cam tensioners and their are two, one on the inboard side on the camshafts, and outboard tensioner under the outboard cover, are made of nylon, (plastic) and have to be maintained or will disintegrate rubbing on metal chain and you will experience catastrophic engine failure. Not in Harley owners manual or in Service manual as a must service maintenance item. Most Harley owner know nothing about these tensioners. To get to the tensioner on the inside of the cam-plate, you have to either take the gas tank and rocker boxes off to pull out the pushrods and or take a bolt cutter and cut the push-rods after lifting outer cover, and replace them with adjustable push-rode, and you have to take out the cam-plate and the cams out of the engine to service that little nylon tensioner rubbing against the silent chain assembly. You have to also change out your camshaft bearings and need special tools to do this job. Very expensive to service this must do item, and failure can occur at any time, whether 4k or 50,000k, depends on the engine itself, since their factor quality control is not the best in the industry. Just go to YOU TUBE and see Harley cam chain problems. See for yourself before you buy a twin cam from 1999 to the present, includes, twin cam 88, twin cam, 96 and 96B (B stands for balanced flywheel) yeah right, 103 engines all the same problems. CAVEAT EMPTOR. LET THE BUYER BEWARE.

Wouldnt let me give a zero unfortunately. So the sales department is great bought my bike got a great deal and the salesman was awesome. 3 months down the road I get a nail in my tire took it to them to get the tire replaced was ready to pay whatever for a new tire actually wanted a little bigger tire for the bike. They said they dont have any other tire in stock besides the stock one for the bike OK thats fine I dont wanna wait for it to come in and not be able to ride. So I have to let them do it 11am told them to call me when theyre done I get a call around 3pm saying they changed it but the bolt I have for my sissy bar was rubbing on the side of the tire when they took it for the test ride. They asked if I wanted it fixed I said of course let me know when I can get the bike. They next day around 1pm I call ask if its fine yet they say theyre waiting Ive never waited more then a few hours to get a tire replaced. Later I go pick it up thinking everything is fine i get on and take off get home and theres a rub along my entire side wall of the tire I call and ask to see if they could do anything and they told me it was my bikes fault and they put a new tire on it. Granted they did shave the bolt down for free but Im out a 315 dollar tire and ended up with a pretty much used tire. I still cant believe they would say its my bikes fault they took it out for the test ride and caused it. If I went to there store and kicked the bikes over and gave them the same excuse that oh its the kickstands fault Ill fix that but you have to take care of the rest of it because your bike caused it. They have completely lost me as a customer as well as a caliente chapter member forever maybe Ill have better luck with alamo. Do not take your bike to get serviced by these irresponsible employees!!!!

This Harley Dealership seems to have problems following through with service issues. I have returned the motorcycle I purchased a second time for a simple fuel light not working correctly. The motorcycle is under warranty and I did purchase the extended warranty with it. However, the first time I took the bike in for this repair, it took over 6 weeks for them to attempt to complete the repair. I left the owner of the dealership a voicemail asking him to call me back and look into what is taking so long for the repairs. He never returned my call....Two of the six weeks I was provided a service rental. After being notified the bike was repaired, the same problem happened the first time I took it out for a ride. I recommend you seriously consider what you are purchasing prior to closing the deal, because, this time I returned the bike for the issue, I was told it is just a light and I should track the fuel usage on the odometer. There were also issues once the purchase was made and the bike was preped for delivery. Apparently the battery was no good and the service department opted to charge the battery overnight instead of replacing it. So I waited for the battery to be charged over night and went the next day to pick it up, It would not start because the battery was bad. I could not pick the bike up that day either because there was no one able to change out the battery. So overall the service after the sale is poor. Makes me feel like I was sold a bill of goods and once the sale was done, they are not sincerely intrested in making any problems right.
