Update: Considering recent events, its only fair that I return to provide an update on my situation. A few weeks ago, I received a call from an associate at Ashley Furniture Warehouse in Tyler asking to schedule an appointment to look at and repair my sofa. I was initially confused, but a call to the store in Longview revealed that the Sales Manager, Chris, saw my review and wanted to remedy the situation. A week later, my couch was repaired!! I could look at this scenario and think that Im glad I wrote the original negative review since it had a positive result. However, I regret that it ever got to that point. I dont enjoy complaining, and I rarely ever give negative reviews of any company in public. In this case, I felt I had been wronged, but I let my emotions get to me at the worst time: while I was writing the review. I greatly appreciate the time and effort from the team at the Longview store. They have gone a long way in mending a bridge that will very likely result in me deciding to shop there again in the future. Original review: I bought a sleeper sofa in January 2015, and the salesman, Scott L, very passionately suggested the five-year protection plan. I was hesitant to spend the extra $160, as I have always treated my furniture with the utmost care. However, he justified it by promising that ALL types of damage would covered. I allowed myself to be coerced, and put down the extra money. Fast forward to the present... Last week I noticed that the crossbeam on top of the back rest is broken. It is not extremely noticeable, as it doesnt affect the function of the sofa, so I have no clue when it happened. We never heard anything that sounded like wood snapping when we were sitting on it, so for all I know it may have been like that the day it was delivered. I only noticed it because I was running my hand across the top as I was walking by and felt something that didnt seem right. Upon calling the warranty company, GBS, I was told that our protection plan only covered stains. Thats not their fault. Obviously, they cant control Ashley Furnitures sales people misleading customers. The nice lady for GBS called Ashley Furniture for me and then suggested, per a rep at Ashley, that I can claim it under the manufacturers two-year warranty since it appears to be a manufacturing defect. I called Ashley Furniture myself and was told that the warranty was only one year, and not two as the GBS rep was told. So now theres been two occurrences of miscommunication. In short, I feel that I have been suckered. I have a broken sofa, and no way to fix it unless I want to pay Ashley Furniture $60 per hour to repair it. Luckily, I have learned from past mistakes. I refuse to give Ashley Furniture another dollar. I used to be a loyal customer, as about half of the furniture in my home came from their stores. Ill take my business elsewhere in the future.

I first went into the store back in January and Scott greeted me and offered his assistance. Then allowed me to explore the store on my own, which I was very pleased with. Then I ask questions and he answered them and offered more information. I told him I had just moved to town and was looking at different stores for what I wanted and the best deals I could get. He informed me of the up coming sales and what he could do to get the best deal. He gave me his card and I told him I would be back. On my second visit to the store, he greeted me again and I told him I had visited other stores and just wanted to look again to assure myself of my decision. My daughter came to visit me and I took her in for my third visit and he met us and we discussed the furniture again. He was so patient with me and NEVER got pushy. So I left again telling him I was pretty sure that I had made my decision and that I would be back. So, on my fourth visit with my sister in tow this time, to get another opinion on what I was leaning toward, He was very friendly and helpful once again. I told him we would be back later that day with a final decision. So, coming back later that day which made my fifth visit to the store he met me and I told him I was ready to purchase the bedroom furniture. He made the process quick and easy. This all took place over a 5-6 week period. The delay on purchasing the furniture was in NO fault his own But I was just wanting to do my homework and make sure I was getting what I wanted and at the best possible price. I appreciated his professionalism and the way he treated me as a customer. I also assured him I would be back to purchase more furniture for another room as well. My new furniture should be here within the next few days and I am so excited. The cashier was also very friendly and offered more information on the financing and delivery. I was very much satisfied with the service of the store!!

STOP!!! Buy your furniture somewhere else. There are too many options close to this place in Longview to waste your time or money here! I tried to buy a leather couch and recliner here and twice it was delivered damaged. The first time it was just a few stitches on the back of the arm and a small but noticeable scratch on the seat. The second time 2 weeks later when it was brought the top of the couch looked like it had been slid across the pavement and the entire thing was covered in dust! Plus it still had the exact same damage as before!! The delivery guy told me he thought they tried to push off the same damaged furniture on me again. After the furniture was damaged at delivery twice, I was told 3 seperate dates that new furniture would be delivered over the course of a month and ALL 3 times they rescheduled and pushed the date further back by 2 weeks. I canceled my order after missing enough work to pay for an entirely different couch. Other than the creepy guy in the white labcoat, the sales people were knowledgeable and friendly. But the business is absolutely poorly ran and the manufacturer and warehouses are a joke. Save yourself the headache and frustration and spend your money across the street

I actually had a great experience. My husband and I went to the store in the middle of May and purchased a bed set. We were warmly greeted, Brandon helped us and was very efficient, and professional. The whole staff treated us kindly. We had just bought a sleep number bed, and were waiting on that to be delivered, so we didnt have to have the bed set right away. We were told 2 weeks for delivery, and it did end up more like 3 1/2 weeks during checkout, but it was fine. Brandon explained that the piece we ordered was literally brand new, and that it wasnt in the Tyler warehouse quite yet, and that they would have to have it sent from the warehouse that produces all their products, so it would take a little longer. We had our bed delivered the day they said it would be there, and the guys that delivered were very professional and nice. Nothing was damaged, everything went smoothly. I even got a call from the store asking how my delivery experience went, and if I had any questions or concerns. Overall, it was a very good experience.
