We wanted to buy local. Buy American. We were impressed by Brians knowledge, and his "well take care of you" promise. Despite the fact that it would have cost less at the big box store, we bought a new GE slide-in stove, on Saturday, set installation for Tuesday. On Tuesday, the installer, Keith, pulled the stove forward, measured, and stated that the counter-top must be cut. However, he doesnt do that kind of cutting. We werent happy with this, but we called Larry who assured us he would expedite this. (We had measured the old stove, hadnt pulled it out, and Brian didnt question those measurements.) When Kurt (stone cutter) arrived on Wednesday, I called Larry, hoping to get the installer back that day. But, Larry stated that their installer only works on Tuesday and Friday. At this point, I asked Larry what he had meant when he said "expedite", but he just said "Im sorry". So, the kitchen was torn up, and the old stove in the garage, the new stove propped up in the kitchen. Keith returned on Friday morning to complete the installation. But this required another cut he could do for another $45.00. (Wed paid $100 at the store for installation and haul off.) As Keith was preparing to leave after the installation, I noticed a plastic bag with an anti-tip device, with instructions that this MUST be installed. He said its not necessary for slide-in stoves. I was skeptical. He brought his tools back in, pulled the stove out, and installed this safety device. He left, and while cleaning the cook-top, I noticed a gap between the back of the cook-top and the counter-top, big enough to fit the tip of my little finger into. Also, I could see that the stove was crooked, and not slid all the way back. On the right side, the edge of a thin rubber base the cook-top sets on was sticking out. I called Keith, who told me to shove the stove over and it would probably fit. I tried but it was still not fitting perfectly. He said hed later on. When he returned, he said "in a perfect world" this would fit. After spending $2000 for the stove, and $245 for the installation, I felt wed paid for a perfect fit. He said the counter-top would need to be re-cut to get the stove to fit. The edge of the thin rubber pad that was sticking out on the right side? He simply cut it off with his knife! I called Kurt, who returned on Saturday. He pulled the stove out, re-cut the front of the counter-top, (too much this time), but the stove would now slide back all the way. After Kurt left, we pulled out the stove to clean up the mess Keith hadnt cleaned up. We then noticed that Keith had used only one of the two screws to install the anti-tipping device, and we fixed that. At this point, we dont know what or how much damage Keith did by cutting off the rubber base instead of adjusting it correctly in the first place. We assume that since GE has this thin rubber base under the the glass cook-top, it is supposed to be placed correctly, not simply sliced off because the installer cant be bothered to do the job right. We havent contacted the store again yet, because Larrys apologies dont help. Its easy for him to say hes sorry, but it doesnt fix whatever problems we might experience in the future because their installation. We will call Brian since we originally dealt with him. Unfortunately, we paid much more to buy local, and were rewarded by shoddy workmanship, and no thought of service recovery. The lesson this store taught us: spend less and get good service with the big box store. So much for trying to do the right thing.

Both my microwave and oven went out at the same time. I looked everywhere and called a local place who recommended Hurst TV and Appliance. Spoke to Larry on the phone and was so pleased with his knowledge that I jumped in the car and went to the store. I have had nothing but success. He helped me select exactly what I was looking for and saw me through the ordering and installation of both units. He helped me with the rebates and had all the copies printed and ready for my submission,. He also has a terrific installer named Keith who was patient and thorough, and did an extremely professional installation of both units.. I cant thank Larry enough and could not be more pleased. I will not only recommend this store but will use them again and again. Thanks Larry!

We bought a GE washer and dryer from Larry at Hurst TV and Appliance in February. I started having problems with my dryer in September and contacted the GE warranty department. To make a long story short, 3 weeks later I was still without a dryer. I happened to mentioned this to Larry when I was in the store on another matter and told him when GE stated it would be repaired. I contacted Larry when GE failed to get the problem resolved. He stated he would make some calls, which he did and my problem was resolved that day. Larry made me feel like I had won the Publishers Clearinghouse when I was finally able to do my laundry. Hurst TV and Appliance will stand behind the appliances they sell you, give them a try next time you are in need! Lana Foster

In May 2015 we were in dire need of a new refrigerator and started our research and shopping. We bought our microwave and oven (both built-in models) in 2013 from Larry at Hurst TV & Appliance and could not be happier with them. We contacted Larry about refrigerators and he was extremely knowledgeable and helped us choose the right make and model for our needs. We have had the GE refrigerator for 4 months now and could not be happier. It was everything promised. This family-owned company has always been the most knowledgeable, ethical, and customer-focused company we have ever encountered and I could not give higher recommendation. Mike & Rebecca Jackson

I thought they sold used when I went in - ended up they sell only new appliances way below big box prices. Bought a discontinued GE for cheap, and it ended up being the worst one Ive owned. Not their fault though - GEs. Larry the sales guy was stellar. He got GE to work with me for an exchange when GE was not being easy to deal with. Then I had a surgery and fell out of pocket - when my husband followed up later Larry bent over backwards to make us happy. Coordinating with his GE rep. We ended up with a better dishwasher that is great. I thought the store was good, but I cant speak highly enough about their Larry!

Ive had the privilege of doing business with Hurst TV & Appliance for more than 20 years. They have always come to my rescue in 24 hours or less. The repairman is always prompt, friendly, honest & more than fair when assessing the problem. All of these qualities are near impossible to find this day & time. I alway recommend them to family & friends & I would NEVER consider using anyone else. If I could give more than 5 stars I would because they are beyond excellent. I pray the Lord continues to bless each of them beyond measure.
