Service and quality of deliver has deteriorated while "bargain" prices have gone up to the point that it is no longer a bargain. I have several rental properties and have been purchasing appliances at the Wichita Store for about 15 months. At first it was great price reduction for minor dents and scratches, delivery was no issue. Last purchase and then delivery of 3 appliances and store visits has since prompted me to stop visiting and purchasing from the outlet store. The prices were not as good as the previous months but I bought them anyway because I needed the appliances and had been able to save money on others so I accepted a little less bargain. This is where the issue started. When the appliances were delivered, They were supposed to have been delivered before 8 pm. After several calls to the delivery center, they finally were delivered at about 10:15 pm. Because I was ready to get to bed (I get up at 04:00 am to go to work) and I was so frustrated at the late delivery, I didnt look over the appliances in my storage unit like I should have. The very next day when I got home, I looked at them and noticed that all three were damaged much worse than they were when I purchased them. I reviewed my paperwork that documents the damage that was on them when I bought them at the store and it was very obvious there was additional damage. The delivery team was very rough when sliding and unloading them out of the truck. When the truck door was opened, I noticed that none of them were secured down, should have been a warning signal and would have been had I not been so frustrated tired with the late delivery. I went to the store and discussed with the employees on duty but was told that since I signed the acceptance form when the appliances were delivered the next day, there was nothing that could be done. In other words, it wasnt their issue because I signed the form. Yes, they are correct, I should have checked them over closer. I would have thought that since I had purchased so many appliance there in the previous year, there would have been a little more customer service applied. Buyers beware!!!! I will never shop there again. What happened???? This store was good to do business with in the past. New leadership?

would like to know where they got the delivery service compamy at, because it is now about 212 hours late. i am editing these comments. delivery finally showed up. no calls no apology for showing up so late. maybe they showed up because we contacted the outlet manager. anyhow, the young men were nice and moving quickly. they didnt have to spend long as my wife and I had already removed the old washer and dryer and these were outside for pickup. they hooked everything up and made sure the units turned on but they had other deliveries I guess. they picked up the old units and went on their way. let me first say that when I buy an appliance I do expect it to work. I went ahead and decided to run the washer through a cycle to basically rinse it out and made sure it works (which is something I would expect a store to do as they are selling it ). The washer filled up with water and abruptly stopped with the lid locked light flashing red. so now I have waited 3 days for delivery (at almost 3 hours late) to receive a washer that is broken. it is under warranty, of course, but now I am at the mercy of getting an appointment with that department and having to wait till they come out and fix it. since this is more a review of the outlet store and not the product, the question arises as to whether the store was aware of the washers problem when they sold it figuring that maytag would fix it. to further the thought was the fact that the washer showed up with zero manual, and was not a matched unit when bought. I guess that I shouldnt complain because afterall I was making a purchase at an outlet store and should expect this. so now, Sears has my money and I am at the mercy of a large corporation. I have to wonder if this type of service is why they are getting smaller.

I will never purchase another item from Sears! We purchased a stove from the outlet store. There was a small dent on the side, and one in the front on the slide out draw. Not to bad since the dent on the side would be hidden. We got the stove home, and the burners wont work. Contacted the store to return the item. They wont refund our money. They will only allow us to purchase another item from them, or have someone come out and repair it. I dont want to purchase another item that might or might not work. I didnt think we would have to contact the repair center since this item was just purchased. How long will this stove last if we are already having it repaired after owning it for a few days! The stove looked good, and shouldnt have been as damaged as it is. We bought this item knowing that there were a few dents. We had no idea that the burners wouldnt work. The repairman told us that the stove had been dropped, and that the burners on the inside were smashed. We should have known that this item was dropped, and that the outside damage wasnt all there might be. We would have never purchased the stove. I would never recommend anyone purchasing an appliance from this store. You wont get a refund and will be stuck with the faulty product, still needing to buy a new stove.

Went in to just browse around and ended up buying everything I needed for my entire Kitchen Remodel. Great staff and very knowledgeable and helpful sales associates! No pressure AT ALL like other appliance stores in town and they took the extra step to make everything right with us when we found out our fridge was faulty. The review above has NO idea what theyre talking about! They helped me choose a different fridge and was able to bring it back to the store and exchange it no problem. And DON"T think about not getting their extra protection! That stuff has been super handy in figuring out ANY problems we have had on all of our appliances. We paid close to $800 in just putting the extra protection on everything and it has saved us at least $1,200 in repair bills. They are a true hometown feeling store that recognizes us everytime we come back in and are very personable people who we trust fully! Not a soul in that store treated us badly and I highly, HIGHLY recommend this store to anyone who is looking for appliances or who just wants knowledge on them. These guys and gals are great!

I live about 800 miles away but I saw a gas dryer that I wanted at this Sears Outlet. I called to get some detail and spoke with Janie on a Saturday. She answered all my questions and even sent me pictures of the item since the website only had 1 picture. She also let me know that the price had just been reduced on the item in the store but the reduction had not hit the website yet. She could have just let it ride since I would never be in the store, but she was honest and gave me the reduced price. The website charged the full amount but she refunded the difference on Monday and texted me to let me know that the dryer was picked for shipping on Monday when it was not expected to happen until Wednesday. This has been a great experience so far and the dryer will cost less than 1/2 of even a sale price in a retail store even when you factor in shipping! I hope the shipping doesnt take too long and the product is in as good a shape as advertised. I plan to update this after it arrives, but so far my experience has been great.
