If I could give them a negative rating, I would. Approximately a year and a half ago I purchased a matching Kenmore series 700 washer and dryer set. No problems with the dryer but the washer is complete crap. It doesnt wash clothes and it doesnt rinse clothes. Ive tried everything more soap, less soap, multiple rinses...nothing works. Furthermore, it makes knots out of the clothes. Ive literally had to wrestle them sometimes to get them out of the knots. It is complete junk. Today I went to the Sears appliance store to discuss getting something else..not looking for anything free, just some consideration against a new device for which I was willing to pay. The young lady there rather gleefully explained to me that her hands were tied and that there was "nothing she could do". She advised me that they have had lots of complaints for this model and even demonstrated to me that the latest Kenmore product had a button on it to allow you to force more water to fill the drum to wash and rinse the clothes. She further explained that if we had bought the extended protection plan that they could give us some consideration for it. I responded that Im not normally in the habit of buying an extended purchase plan just to receive a device that works properly when its brand-new. I couldnt be more disappointed with this product and with the treatment I got at the Sears appliance store. I strongly urge anyone who might be considering purchasing anything from the Sears appliance store to stay miles away from the place and most definitely do not ever purchase a Kenmore product that is supposed to be a high-efficiency device. How you deal with a dissatisfied customer whos paid you good money for a product that they expect to work properly is the very definition of good customer service. These people have failed miserably. Its not hard for me to understand why Sears has gone from a once very vital company to one thats hanging on by a thread. Ill never buy another Kenmore product and I most definitely wont buy anything from the Sears appliance store. Have a nice day. 19- Jan, 2017 - I received the message from Blain below and responded. He advised that the store manager would contact me to come to some resolution. That was over two weeks ago and to date, I have not heard a peep. I just discovered today that Blains email address is now a dead-end as latest inquiry bounced back to me. Not holding my breath. Will reach out to Kenmore.
