My husband and I own a 12 year old home. We needed to replace our microwave, cooktop, and oven and chose Texas appliance because we believed a specialty store would provide a more knowledgeable sales associate and better service if and when there was a problem with equipment. We purchased $6,000 dollars worth of equipment and have had problems since the initial installation with our cooktop. The day of the installation we were handed a bag of parts and told "you need to call a gas man. Your cooktop is propane. There are two forms of propane. We didnt realize it was this type." The cooktop we purchased is a gas range? How could you not realize you needed to ask about that? We called our gas company and they referred us back to Texas appliance. We called back and were told "you need a plumber." We had a plumber come out. We are willing to pay a plumber because we just want a cooktop that functions for our family of four. The plumber told us we needed to contact Texas appliance because the yellow flame was not uniform and the black residue my husband noticed the first week we attempted to use the range was an installation problem. We called Texas appliance. We were told we needed to contact their service department with our range serial number. At no time did the sales representative offer to find that information for us. We asked to speak to a manager. My husbands phone call was sent to a voice mail that was "full." We called back yet again and were told by a female associate she would put a work order in. This is where we are at now. We hope at some point to be able to use our $1200 range safely. We will quickly be in the market for a washer and dryer and will not be using Texas Appliance again.

I bought 4 appliances few weeks ago expending over $2k, I think the price and customer service was fair while shopping. After near an hour the sales person "Gaby" reccomended to visit the Outlet Location in Pioneer for extra saving. I ended buying only the GE oven in the outlet and the other 3 appliances in the I-20 store, the person who took care of me in the outlet "Jose" explained very clear that even though this oven is in discount price its in perfect condition and I have a year manufacture warranty plus a month to report the store for any malfunction with equipment. Our handyman installed this oven following instructions and the light bulb wasnt working. I called "José" immediately to report this minor incident hoping they would give me a new bulb or pay for my bill (around $10) if I buy from Home Depot. Jose told me that I have to call GE to report it and a technician would come to check and replace the light bulb, but he stated that GE will charge me for that visit and he reccomended to buy the bulb by myself. At this point this guy and the entire store wash their hands off. And for me was the first and the last time I made business with this people.

I bought a full range of kitchen appliances from them when I had my kitchen remodeled last fall. I also bought the extended warranty. My cabinet maker messed up the measurement of the cabinet over my stove counter top making it too low for safety. I thought I would have to trade my range hood for another one. I had opened the box to look at the range hood. When I called Texas Appliance, they informed me that there would be a 50% restocking fee because I had opened the box. I was able to get my cabinet maker to rework the cabinet so that I could keep the original range hood. Ive also had 2 service calls related to a couple of the appliances. Texas Appliance has stood behind their warranties. Anyone who buys from them needs to be aware that if they do open their merchandise (appliance) and do need to exchange it that there is a 50% restocking fee. Their reasoning is that the product has been drop shipped from the manufacturer and the manufacturer will not take it back once it has been opened.

Came in and asked about high-end scratch and dent in their outlet store in Arlington - and the sales rep explained they were out and would not be carrying this any longer. Having looked at the website and show room, I asked further so nothing like a Wolf or Viking in 36 inch or 48 inch - the sales rep literally yelled at me basically treating me like a 5 year saying "What did I just say! Are you stupid?!" I was so embarrassed. Well I am not stupid and I will not be shopping here, ever. I advise others to seek a more respectable reseller of appliance to spend their money regardless of what their website says - this place is just not worth it.

I purchased an oven and microwave 2 weeks ago. We purchased from Texas Appliance as they were able to deliver it sooner than Best Buy. Low and behold they call the day before and cancel bc they dont have it in stock. HUGE inconvenience as my husband had already removed the previous set in anticipation of the promised delivery. As of right now, Texas Appliance is supposed to deliver the new set tomorrow. But they cant tell me any type of time frame until after 9am...tomorrow. Shouldve done what we always do and bought it at Best Buy in the first place.

Bought a fridge from them 7 months ago. The purchase experience was good, people were friendly. Since then the fridge has gone out three times in 7 months, causing a mess in our kitchen and more than a small inconvenience each time. And since we didnt pay extra for their warranty, they wont stand behind what they sell. We have to deal with it ourselves. Not good service. Wont buy a major appliance from them again.

One of the worst experiences I have ever had! Sales man (Loyd) had no clue on what he was doing. Rang up wrong fridge. Ordered wrong dishwasher and never informed my range was back ordered a week.long story short $4000 and a week later still no appliances. Today find out will be another 5 days.

Over the years Ive bought a dishwasher, oven, and washer and dryer. Their prices are decent and their delivery and hauling off of old appliances is far cheaper than anyone else. Also it usually doesnt take long for delivery after the product is purchased.

These guys understand service after the sale. Chris Street has come out to our house a few times to make sure everything is right with all of the appliances.

Best place to shop for appliances in the Metroplex! Great service, great pricing and they actually care about you after the appliances are in your home.

Its a pretty good place. But be sure to negotiate. Because most of their prices are retail suggested price.
