I have very mixed feelings about my experience with the company. I had a dishwasher latch that was not latching and had called a local repair man (not associated with a company, just an independent contractor) to look at it on a Friday. He couldnt get by until that afternoon though and once he did, he confirmed for me that I needed a new latch, but since it was on the later side, he wouldnt be able to get the latch until Monday and would call me then. He stated that he charged $60 an hour plus the costs of any parts. I looked it all up online and knew the part was under $30 and watched a youtube video on replacing it that took a technician about 6 minutes. Based off of that I was anticipating around $100 or a little less for the repair. I contemplated attempting it myself, but didnt want to risk electrocuting myself, so I decided I needed a repair guy. Come Monday I never heard from him and could not get in touch with him (phone went straight to voicemail). This lead me to calling Lubbock Appliance Repair Monday afternoon, because the other appliance repair place I had been recommended had terrible reviews on google and these werent too bad. The lady who answered said that the technicians were busy throughout the day, but could get me on the schedule for Tuesday between 2 and 5. I agreed and was able to take off of work. She said that the service call would be $75 and once they knew exactly what it was, theyd be able to give me a final price. I told her that another repair guy had told me it needed a latch and she took down the information on my particular dishwasher and said shed relay this to the tech so they could have the latch on them to minimize the likelihood of them having to make 2 calls. Come 4:45 on Tuesday though, the technician still hadnt arrived at my house and I had no notification. I called and they were able to let me know very quickly that he had been caught up on a job and was running late. She asked if I was okay with him coming by shortly after 5. I said I was because I had taken time off of work specifically to get this taken care of. The tech did get there shortly after 5 and was very friendly. He looked at it and verified that the dishwasher did indeed need a new latch and had brought the part with him. He did quote me prior that part, service call, labor and tax was about $207. That seemed incredible steep to me considering what I had heard from the other repair man, but I agreed because I had already wasted too much time on this. He replaced the latch in under 10 minutes and was at my house for a total of about 15 to 20 minutes. When I received the itemized receipt, the labor alone is listed at almost $100. Under 10 minutes of time for $100?! I understand the service call and the parts and what not, but the labor time fee is ridiculous. While scheduling was easy and everyone Ive spoken to or interacted with was very friendly, I feel like I was ripped off to an extent. I almost wish I wouldve risked electrocuting myself. Like I said, everyone I interacting with was very friendly. THANKFULLY, the labor and part does come with a year warranty, so if it breaks again within the year theyll repair it for free. I asked them about the labor and they stated that they dont go on an hourly, they go off of the blue book and that while it may look easy what they do theyre specially trained to do the repairs. If youre contemplating using them, keep that in mind. Theyre not bad and they fixed my problem, I was just very taken aback at the cost. Maybe if I hadnt been quoted something significantly different from someone else, it wouldnt have been as outrageous to me? Had the price range been closer to what the other person had quoted me Id gladly give them 5 stars and recommend them to everyone. I have a hard time writing this because I dont want it to sound like I dont value their time and training, I do. Multiple people Ive spoken with about this have commented to me that the fee seems really high. I will very cautiously recommend them, but maybe you get what you pay for.

Michael from the appliance repair place called before coming out and he walked me through some basic troubleshooting. turns out the knob was cracked and the timing knob wasnt turning the little switch. i moved a knob over from the fabric selector and it works just fine. all we need is a replacement knob. Michael even went so far as to give me the model number for the part AND some suggestions on where we can get it locally and it will got us 10-20 bucks to replace rather than 120 for the service call and part and whatnot. these guys totally took care of me. A++

I wholeheartedly recommend Lubbock Appliance Repair. My dryer and freezer were broken, so I called them up to get their help. Michael was extremely knowledgeable (he had a degree as a mechanical engineer FROM TECH!!) and figured out what was wrong with both of the machines in a mater of minutes. He was very friendly and after showing me what was wrong, he walked me through my repair options and told the pros and cons of each alternative. If you have a problem with any of your appliances, call them up. Youll be glad that you did.

Had Lubbock Appliance Repair out for a Samsung recall on my washing machine. Tech was early for appointment, texted when he was on his way. Met the owner of the business, top notch service from entire staff start to finish. Samsung made a good choice in contractors for the recall, and I will surely call on them again when I need another appliance repair.

Horrible service. When I initially asked about fees and charges the representative gave me one set of information, but when service tech arrived costs were completely different than what I was told on phone. I intended to pay Service tech his service fee but he left. When I called back customer service phone representative hung up on me. F-

Never got past the idiot whom answered the phone. When asked for clarity about service charges and parts, she kept saying "yes" and wouldnt answer my question. All the time had a "I dont care attitude". Dont know why companies put people like this answering their phones.

The folks at Lubbock Appliance were friendly and professional. The cost of the appliance and delivery was a bit higher than Home Depot, but next day delivery and service (and willingness to haul away an additional old, unused appliance) were worth the extra cost.

I had an issue with my washer. The technicians that came out showed up well within the given timeframe, they were very quick to resolve my issue. Both technicians were very polite and professional, I will call again for any other appliance issues that I have.
